We have a 10 race card today at Belmont and we are excited to cash in on some tickets. We are going to attack a pair of pick 3 plays that covers the pick 6 sequence. I will be locked into race 5-7 and Big Pete will close the card on races 8-10. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and improve the bankroll. GOOD LUCK.

Race 4:
I think there will be value with (5) Big Everest in here off the long layoff. The combo alone is one that makes you take a deeper look into. The training leading into this one is consistent and good. I think that Rosario will be able to stalk the lead and find the running lane late to hit the wire first. Chad Brown has some good looking horses in here as well and I think we can play off of them.

Race 2:
There are some good looking 3yr colts going 1M on Big Sandy. Curlin is the influence on both favorites and I’ll take one of them. (2) MILES D faced a salty group back in October for his debut. Now returns going a little longer, which will only help. L1 is added and a rare Rosario/Brown combo as Joel subs in for Irad. He comes in here off a bullet work and figures to be a handful. We’ll use the other Brown and the Uncle Mo to juice up the exacta.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 5:
(9) Six Percent is the horse I landed on as my top selection. I think there will be enough pace in here to run down the field late and I like the outside post in here. I think Alvarado will be able to break well and find a rail position around the turn and then properly time a go at the lead. (3) Too Early is another horse I like to run a similar style race and I think that will be the winning approach in here. In case we get horses loose on the lead I will be going with (7) Just Right and (8) Danebury. These horses will be forwardly placed throughout and could be a tough catch late. I am going to try and beat the 8/5 favorite in here to get a decent price to kick off our ticket.

Race 6:
(5) Infinite Potential is a must play for me with a firmer surface and second time out. We should expect this horse to have plenty of leg left to make a strong run for the wire. (6) Angelou gets the speed master Saez aboard and should try and wire the field. This horse looks to be in very good form and must play. (7) Now Yus Cant Leave is a horse I like to improve second time out on grass and be a horse that is involved throughout. If Manny can find the right lanes, then this horse will be a dangerous horse late. My last play will be (3) Overlook Road because of those bullet workouts coming in and giving Rosario a speed horse on grass is always dangerous. He has the ability to save the horse's energy until late down the stretch and this horse may be ready to run a winning race first time out.

Race 7:
(1) Entreat looks to be too good in here, but I do not want to get suckered into singling this horse. We should expect a very low price on this horse on the tote board. I will spread to the outside with (8) Midtown Rose and (9) Whispering Pines. I like (8) Midtown Rose to be aggressive early and sit on the lead in here. I will play (9) Whispering Pines to be a horse that is running her best late.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
Something is different about this years (1) FIERCE LADY. She wasn’t posting the kind of number she got in her 2021 debut. She looks all grown up now at 4yr and means business. A quick breeze on the 1st indicates she still got that pep in her step. The one to fear is (5) SADIE LADY. She should get to the front where she likes to be and dare them to co,me and get her. The 6F is all she wants and Jose picks up the mount. (6) ESPRESSO SHOT was a no show last time so I’ll draw a line through that one and expect a decent run today. Castellano fills in and the cutback should help.

Race 9:
(1) GUILDSMAN has been facing slightly better sprinters recently and the 6F will give him more time to get there. If Jose can weave his way through the pack, he’ll be rolling late. (5) BATTLE STATION got the perfect trip last time and he’ll need it again. Franco subbing in is a good sign that he’ll get it. I have to give (11) HOLIDAY STONE another chance here. I liked him in a similar spot last time and he just ran evenly the whole way, yet still only lost by three to Battle Station. Now 2nd time out for Weaver and Lezcano gets the re-ride. (8) SECOND OF JULY is interesting at a price. Both wins are on this course and the connections thought he could handle G2 material. Worth a shot.

Race 10:
Pletcher dropping his runners is never a good sign but (5) LADY MANHATTAN needs the relief. She gets Castellano so they are trying to dress her up for a sale. She’s a contender. The English Channel filly (13) FREEDOM MACHINE draws in and ran well first time against State bred. I’m expecting her to come running again for at least a piece. I’ll lean heavy on the 5yr old mare (11) MEMORIES ETERNAL. She’s been competitive against fellow NY Breds and her 2021 debut was decent. She wasn’t far from Caumsett that day and that one ran a winning race yesterday settling for 2nd. The drop back to this level makes her very dangerous today. They tried getting (2) SWEET FRANNY U on the grass but Mother Nature wouldn’t cooperate. Today’s is the day and they choose an easier spot. Franny looks sweet here..
