We are looking to take down a pair of pick 3 plays that covers the pick 6 sequence. I will be attacking races 6-8 and Big Pete will be closing on races 9-11. We also will have some plays on other races on the cards to try and maximize our profits. We appreciate you taking a look at the write-up and hope we all can cash some tickets! GOOD LUCK.

Race 4:

I wanted to attack the Gr.3 Runhappy in here as I would like to try and beat (4) Firenze Fire in here. I am going to take a stab at it with (5) Drafted who will most definitely be overlooked in here and have some fire underneath him. This horse has been training lights out and Saez will need to get this horse involved early if he has any chance of winning this one. I think there will be an early battle for pace and an aggressive rail ride to find position will allow this horse to run down tiring horses late. I feel comfortable putting the investment in Luis Saez's hands.

$5.00 WPS 5 Cost: $15.00

Race 2:

All the focus will be on the two Clement starters and I’m fine with that. The one who might get overlooked in here is (7) QUEEN ARELLA. She broke her maiden a year ago and then was thrown to the wolves facing much better in her next three starts. She then found a more realistic spot and ran a credible 4th at long odds. She now ships in to face her fellow NY Breds on her preferred surface. Gargan has set the stage with 3 business like works for today. Saez gets the call as he will likely try to set up shop mid pack, save ground early and tip out for the stretch drive. (4) Herald Angel and (12) Snicket will try to catch her late but she will be long gone by then.

$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 21.00

$ 7.00 Exacta 7 w/ 4, 12 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use Queen Arella in R2 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play in the 3rd.

(5) Tremayne and (11) Know It All Red look solid in the 3rd

$ 7.00 Double 7 w/ 5, 11 Cost $ 14.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 6:

I am not overthinking the first leg in here and think that (5) Civil Union is going to be a tough beat in here. This is going to look to close strongly against this field, especially since this horse should be running into some pace. (1) Harvey's Lil Goil is a must play as well from the inside who we should anticipate to be up front most, if not all, of the trip. Last play will be (2) Lemista who is making her US debut and just too intimidating to leave off with the Irad/Brown connection on grass.

$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 1,2,5 Cost: $12.00

Race 7:

I really liked (7) French Empire in here, so it did change my play up a bit when the horse was scratched. (6) Pacific Gale is coming in with an impressive win at this distance a few months back and should be able to find a rail position early with the speed this horse possesses. Johnny V is getting the mount too, which is a plus. I am playing a front running score for (2) Sadie Lady. I think that this horse has the rail position to shoot from the gate and the rider to be aggressive enough early to get that position. This horse should be able to sustain a big run in here after the gutty win last time out. Last inclusion will be (5) Honor Way who is going to be able to handle the distance and has the position to run on strongly late. Jose Ortiz will find the lane to get this horse in and we should expect a close finish in here.

$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 2,5,7 Cost: $12.00

Race 8:

Here is where we will get our price. I really like Junior Alvarado choosing the (1) Tetella in here over (8) Palamos. I think this Brad Cox firster will possess plenty of speed in here and the rail position will allow Alvarado to find the best position for this horse and trust him to find a running lane down the stretch to get the job done. (5) In Italian ran a very good race last time out at this distance and gets Irad this time out. This horse is a must play on the ticket. (6) Colombe D'Oro has some nice bullet workouts leading in and attracts Jose Ortiz aboard. This horse could be live first time out and could catch a decent price. (7) Infinite Potential has a fitting name in here and I will play on the potential. The connections make it easier to pull the trigger on investing on this horse. I am forced to include (8) Palamos in here as this horse has two great showings on grass at a mile or further and should improve this time out.

$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00

$1.00 Ex 1,5 w/ 1,5,6,7,8 Cost: $10.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 9:

There’s only two in here that I like but we’ll use all three that are familiar with Big Sandy. (2) NOVA RAGS ran well in the G1 Florida Derby against better. He wants distance, so 9F today is right up his ally. Jr returns as this combo teamed up to break Nova’s maiden here back in Oct. Pletcher has two and I like the rail runner (1) OVERTOOK a little more. He was beaten by the scratched Risk Taking, but that was his first attempt against winners. This Curlin won’t mind the distance as well and picks up Johnny V. I like this guy to come late and nail them all. (3) PROMISE KEEPER didn’t like the Non Lasix run two back so there is some concern there. It’s Pletcher and Saez though, so maybe they figured it out. I’m expecting him to run better this time.

$7.00 WPS 1 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 1,2 w/ 1,2,3,4 Cost: $18.00

Race 10:

There are two gorillas in the room and I expect at least one of them to show up. (8) GUFO just keeps finding the wire first. He’s within 2 lengths of being 8 for 8. Clement and Rosario are seeking three wins in a row on the grass going long the last three days. I’m betting they get it. (1) SOVEREIGN makes his US debut for Brown and Irad. He’s only 2 for 14 lifetime but has danced every dance. He’ll need to bring his A game but these connections usually do. I can’t see anyone else finishing first but one of these guys. (7) FIELDPASS and Saez will try their best to wire this bunch but that’s a big ask against the top two.

$7.00 WPS 8 Cost: $21.00

$5.00 Ex 1,8 w/ 1,7,8 Cost: $20.00

Race 11:

You can make a case for eight fillies in here but we can’t use them all. I narrowed it down to four. (6) GABBY SQUARED is the “other” Brown. She tried to close into a slow pace last time but should get the pace she needs today. (3) SCARABEA is a Pharoah out of a Galileo mare. She probably needed her last race off the layoff and I’m guessing we see the breeding come through today. (9) THIRD DRAFT just missed getting her picture taken last time. She’s turned in back to back bullets for this and with the switch back to Jose, she will be the horse to beat. These wide turns fit her to a T. It’ll be hard to leave off the other Brown but I prefer the rail runner (1) MISS BONNIE T instead. She’s you likely pace setter and these Animal Kingdoms’ like to run all day.

$7.00 WPS 9 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 3,9 w/ 1,3,6,9 Cost: $18.00
