We have a 6 stake races on the card today at Belmont and we are looking to take down the pick 6 sequence with a pair of pick 3 plays. I will be locked into races 5-7 and Big Pete will close the card with races 8-10. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and improve the bankroll on. We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and hopefully we can continue the hot streak in to today. GOOD LUCK.

R6: 3, 4, 6, 7

R7: 1, 3, 4, 6

*Top selections for each race in Purple*

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

R9: 4, 6, 7

R10: 7, 8, 12, 14

Cost: $ 24.00

Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 1:

This is going to be a good race and I like two in here. (8) Big Bobby ran a good race first time out, but ran into River Dog who is the favorite in the R7 stakes race. I think that (8) Big Bobby will break extremely well from the outside and be involved throughout. This horse should have enough left in the tank late to challenge for the wire first. My last play will be an improved effort from (5) Masked Marauder. The move to Kendrick Carmouche is one that I like and expect a great break from this horse. If this horse is involved early then I think this horse has a chance to sustain a winning effort.

$3.00 Ex 5,8 w/ 2,5,6,8 Cost: $18.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

(6) RAINBOW GAL was claimed by Noda and has turned it around quickly. Broke her maiden next out, then closed well to get the show. She now gets an extra furlong and an off track she likes for this hot barn. Oh, did I mention that Saez joins the party as well? All systems go today.

We’ll use (3) Laobanonaprayer and (4) Pay Grade to fill in the blanks underneath.

$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00

$ 7.00 Exacta 6 w/ 3, 4 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use Rainbow Gal in R3 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play in the 4th.

(1) Captain Bombastic and (4) Yankee Division look solid in the 4th

$ 7.00 Double 6 w/ 1, 4 Cost $ 14.00

Race 5:

With the expectations of some heavy favorites in these legs I am feeling pretty good we will get a decent price coming in. I am going to start by going four deep in here with my top pick being (4) Jamaica Joy. I think that Luis Saez puts this horse right behind the (1) Shalimar Gardens and have a strong pursuit late to challenge for this one. I also like an improved effort from (2) La Victoria in here who will be getting a muddy track and should be ready to run a big one. (5) Dorothy's The Boss is getting a play from me as experience matters in this one and I think that this horse will continue to show improvement this time out; plus getting Jose Ortiz is a big bonus. My last play will be (9) Princess Sonya who has great workouts leading in and I think will be able to eat up ground late down the stretch and will be a decent price doing it.

$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 2,4,5,9 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 2,9 w/ 2,4,5,9 Cost: $6.00

Race 6:

I will be including the expected heavy favorite, (3) Robin Sparkles, but I am expecting an upset in here. (6) Light in the Sky is going to the fastest horse down the stretch and with the presence of some early speed I really like this angle. I also like (4) Kikea getting a small field in here and try and bully the rest from the front and challenge her foes to catch her late. My last play is going to be a late closing (7) Vienna Code. I think that this race could be blown up late and the horse to the outside could benefit from this late.

$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 3,6 w/ 3,4,6,7 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 4,7 w/ 3,4,6,7 Cost: $6.00

Race 7:

(1) Dr. Blute is my top selection in here, but not my only selection. I think that this horse will take a big step in this one and the inside post will benefit this horse to find a great early position around the turn. I also need to include the ascending (6) River Dog who is facing winners for the first time, but with a triple digit beyer speed first time out I think this horse could be the real deal. (3) Excellent Timing will be on the lead early and if left alone on the front then I think this horse could possibly wire the field. My last play will be the off track play of (4) Lobsta who will be strong late and shown the ability to run down foes late down the stretch.

$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1,6 w/ 1,3,4,6 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 3,4 w/ 1,3,4,6 Cost: $6.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 8:

Only three left so we will try to leave one out to cut cost. Feels like a chalky sequence. Of the two MTO running, I prefer the Noda runner (10) VINTAGE HOOLYWOOD over the once classy (6) CONTROL GROUP. Vintage is bred top and bottom to handle the slop so the Jan race is concerning. This guy seems like a different animal when Jose took the controls two back. The old pro Control Group looks rejuvenated. What's odd is that Irad stayed with the turf runner.

$ 7.00 WPS 10 Cost $ 21.00

$ 5.00 Ex 6, 10 w/ 5, 6, 10 Cost $ 20.00

Race 9:

It feels as if this race goes through (4) MRS. ORB. She likes 2nd, but got the W last time going shorter. The 1M fits here better and figures to have some targets up front to set her up. She caught (6) ESPRESSO SHOT that day but Espresso and Cancel rebounded nest out to set her up well for a Re-Pete. The one I’ll take a stab with is (7) LOVE AND LOVE. Her dad was a 1M specialist and she didn’t fall to far from the tree. The addition of Irad may be the difference and turn the table on Espresso who caught her last time.

$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 4, 7 w/ 3, 4, 6, 7 Cost $ 18.00

Race 10:

A MCL, off the turf, sprint to close out the card. I think both (7) TO THE TUNE and (8) TWICE AS NICE were looking for dirt instead. Johnny V sticks around to ride Tune as that one drops a bit. Saez gives firster, Twice As Nice, a try as this Micromanage turned in a bullet last week to set her up. (12) MILL STONE CREEK showed a little sign of life last time and Dylan comes back for the ride. They must have discussed her chances at the Davis’ dinner table. (14) QUANTITATIVEBREEZIN is a Central Banker so dirt won’t be an issue. She has run faster than most of these.

$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 7, 14 w/ 7, 8, 12, 14 Cost $ 18.00
