Another rainy day in NY and we are focused on cashing in a pair of pick 3 tickets. I also forgot to post Big Pete's MASSIVE day yesterday with winnings totaling above $400! But, we must move forward and focus on today's card. I will be locked into races 4-6 and Big Pete will be focused on races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and improve the bankroll on. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R4: 5, 6, 8

R5: 1, 3, 8, 11

R6: 2, 4, 8, 9 Cost: $ 48.00

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

R7: 1, 3, 9, 10

R8: 1, 5

R9: 4, 6, 9, 13 Cost: $ 32.00

Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

The 2/5 morning line favorite in this 1M MSW is screaming to me to try and beat her. I will use Chad Brown and Irad Ortiz to do just that. (5) School of Thought was last seen at the Spa finishing a distant 3rd. She finished right behind her stable mate, Nevisian Sunrise, who closed nicely to get 2nd on Friday against a classy filly. She was moving well in her debut and then idled through the stretch. L1 may explain a little as she may have bled?? Now this Empire Maker, out of an AP Indy mare, stretches out. Guessing that's what she wants to do. I trust this horse is ready to go and will give this heavy favorite all she can handle.

$5.00 WPS 5 Cost: $15.00

$3.00 Ex 5 w/ 1, 3, 6 Cost: $ 9.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 1:

I’m against both favorites shipping in so I will take a shot with a “Giant Surprise” in the opener. The Ortiz brothers are on those favs so the money will pour in. They like the lead and both will have to deal with Left Leaning Lucy up front. For that reason, I will look for (7) MEBS WEB to come and get them late. Both of her wins have come at this 6.5F distance and the moisture won’t make a difference to her. Cancel will likely stalk mid pack and cruise up to the front runner down the lane. I’ll completely throw the favorites out and try to get longshot Happy Sophia to follow Mebs Webs move to get 2nd.

(3) Happy Sophia and (5) Left Leaning Lucy to fill in the blanks underneath.

$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 21.00

$ 7.00 Exacta 7 w/ 3, 5 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use Mebs Web in R1 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play in the 2nd

(1) Vineyard Sound and (7) Shamrocked look solid in the 2nd

$ 7.00 Double 7 w/ 1, 7 Cost $ 14.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 4:

(5) Millean will be my top selection on the drop. He'll likely eat up ground late and make it very close at the wire. Closed well in the muddy to just miss two back. (6) BeatThatFlew is another closer I like in here, especially with Cancel aboard. This horse should be a decent price and has a great chance in here. Last play will be (8) Bellamy Dolce who gets Kendrick aboard and will be sent towards the front early. This horse has some impressive workouts coming in and should be set to run a big race on the front.

$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 5,6 w/ 4,5,6,8 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 4,8 w/ 4,5,6,8 Cost: $6.00

Race 5:

(11) Obsessed may have found the right field. He's been banging heads with better animals this year and should enjoy the relief he gets today. Saez will also help. (8) Indian Counselor has been sharp this year with 2 wins and 2 2nds. The switch to Cancel is the key here and I'm expecting a big run today. Both parts of the entry (1) First Line and (1A) Mr. Tip will both be coming late for Maker. A nice two for one deal. Rosario sticks with the Ward runner (3) Tallaj instead of First Line. They meet winners for the first time but was the MTO runner that looks the most dangerous to me.

$3.00 WPS 8 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1, 8 w/ 1, 3, 8, 11 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 3, 11 w/ 1, 3, 8, 11 Cost: $6.00

Race 6:

(2) Tapit's Flashback looks good on the inside and should improve with the class drop. More importantly, he gets Saez. Already has had mud thrown in his face when he closed to get 2nd at this 1M distance in February. (4) Futuro is an interesting horse trying dirt for the first time, but had a decent showing first time out on grass. I will include for the connections. (8) Sinashack will enjoy the stretch out in here and I think a dangerous horse late. Last play will be (9) Sixteen Tons who has the ability to eat up ground late and should be able to run into some pace in here.

$3.00 WPS 9 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 2 ,9 w/ 2, 4, 8, 9 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 4, 8 w/ 2, 4, 8, 9 Cost: $ 6.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

I’m against the likely favorite (3) LIMONITE as he was awful last time and his trainer hasn’t hit the board yet this meet. I’ll use defensively only. (1A) DYNADRIVE has the connections and shouldn’t mind the slop. I’ll try the outside runners for some value. (9) BURNING BRIGHT probably wanted this to come off even though he’s not an MTO. Empire Maker will carry him this 10F distance and I’m guessing Franco will let him go early and make them come and get him. (10) DARK STORM is a little over his head at this level, but the race completely changed with this surface switch.

$ 7.00 WPS 9 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 9, 10 w/ 1, 3, 9. 10 Cost $ 18.00

Race 8:

With the move to the slop, (5) THREE TWO ZONE now becomes a player. This colt won easy on the moisture two back just like his dad, Street Sense, use to do on the off tracks. Carmouche can get aggressive with him early and bottom them out. The danger comes from the rail. (1) BEREN jogged in his off track try as Weigelia was also a freak when it rained. Both runners were looking for the skies to open up and they got their wish. We’ll keep the ticket cost effective as I’m not a fan of Fauci getting this distance.

$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 1, 5 w/ 1, 2, 4, 5 Cost $ 18.00

Race 9:

We close with a MCL State bred sprint and the likely favorite (13) CAZILDA FORTYTALES looks the part. She drops slightly, has wet pedigree and retains Irad. It’ll be hard to leave off the ticket. She’ll have company though as (4) OB LA DI has speed and should handle the off. I’ll lean on a stalker more than a closer in here. (6) ESOTICA picks up Saez and returns to the dirt. Her Jan debut jumps of the page and if she can Re-Pete that effort, she wins it. The slightly drop will certainly help. She’ll have to hold off (9) DECREED. This gal will wait for Castellano to shake up the reigns and try to close in late.

$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 6, 9 w/ 4, 6, 9, 13 Cost $ 18.00
