We are looking to close the weekend off with a pair of pick 3 tickets at Belmont. I will be focused on races 4-6 and Big Pete will be locked into races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and maximize our bankroll on. We appreciate you taking a look at the write-up and hoping we can make it a profitable day. Little Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 2:
(6) Grape Nuts Warrior looks to be the real deal and should expect an even better showing this time out. The workouts look good coming in and I think we will get some pace up front to run into. We hopefully will get decent odds on this horse with the presence of (2) Straw Into Gold (who also looks pretty good).

Race 3:
The switch back to dirt for (4) TRAPIZEARANCE looks like the right move. He’s been knocking on the door at this level and he gets Cancel back. There’s enough speed entered for him to set up shop just off the pace and then come with his run.
We’ll use (1A) Social Group and (6) Therisastormbrewin to fill in the blanks underneath.

We’ll also use Trapizearance in R3 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play in the 4th.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 4:
I am going to start off by going four deep in here that I think all have a shot. (4) Ocala Dream and (9 Neuro are both exiting the race of my best bet above and I have that horse winning in an allowance race. I think these horses ran a good enough race last time out to be right back in the mix in here. (6) Clever Fellow should be able to manage a nice trip in here and we should anticipate a similar running style of late closing from Irad and Chad Brown in here. Last play will be (10) Perpetual Change who ran a nice race last time out at a price and should improve from that effort in this one.

Race 5:
(2) Crypto Cash is going to be my best bet in here coming in pretty good form. This horse was claimed by Linda Rice after a winning effort in a claiming race and I think a similar run in here will get it done. (4) Threshold stepping back down in class to where he last won and should be a player in here late. (5) Boru has Irad and the best form coming into this one. (8) Hieroglyphics gets a major drop in class and could just be too good for the field.

Race 6:
(3) Mr Phil looks great on paper and a must play for me to close out the pick 3 sequence. I will be trying to beat with (5) Uncle Moonlight in here. I think this horse will handle the 7 furlong distance well in here and looks to be in pretty good form and ready to improve this time out. Last inclusion will be (4) Dangerous Edge who will be aggressive from the gate and a forwardly placed horse is always a good play in my head.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
Turf looks like the right move for (9) ROSE E HOLIDAY. She tried winners for the first time on the grass and ran well to get 3rd. Saez returns and she doesn’t need to improve much more to beat this crew. (7) MOPOLKA is on a roll and looks dangerous off the Rice claim again. She was able to control both her front running scores and may be left alone again. Cancel has all three of her wins. (5) OUR LITTLE JEWEL shipped in last month to post a win against NW3L. Most of these fillies and mares are still at that level. Wouldn’t take much more today. (8) MIRABELL MEI finished behind Mopolka two back and if the pace gets hot, she can come late to the party.

Race 8:
Brown and (7) MISS TEHERAN is the gorilla in the room. She exits a G2 for this and should like the wide turns to navigate a trip from off the pace. She’ll be short odds but appears to be a must use. I’l lcross my fingers and leave the Clement/Rosario combo off the ticket, but include the Ortiz’ boys instead. (3) NO MO LADY has made steady improvements to that give her a chance here. Trombetta is off to a good start and it’s Jose. Irad ends up on the “other” Brown and I’m guessing he had choice. We’ll include (5) BACCHANALIA on that assumption as she seems better suited for this 8.5F.

Race 9:
Not the best animals on the grounds to end this late Pick 3 cycle. The favorite does stand out slightly here so we’ll have to use (13) TRIPLE AMERICANO. She drops and returns to dirt. Both his 6F sprints at Aqueduct would win this comfortably. But he is dropping so we’ll include others. (7) DUTCHMEN FOREVER cuts back to the 6F sprint after taking money and closing well in his last two. He might just get there today. (9) JUMPSTER ran well earlier this month and picks up the lukewarm Jr. I like these Jump Start’s sprinting so we’ll key on this one. (10) DEE BO gets Saez and drops. Most days that’s enough.
