We have a nice 9 race card today at Belmont in which we are looking to take down the pick 6 sequence by splitting into two pick 3 plays. I will be focused on races 4-6 and Big Pete will be locked into races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and maximize our bankroll on. We appreciate you taking a look at the write-up and hope we can all make it a profitable day. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R4: 2, 6, 10

R5: 3, 4

R6: 1, 2, 6, 9 Cost: $ 24.00

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

R7: 2, 4, 5, 6

R8: 3, 6, 7

R9: 1, 4, 5, 8 Cost: $ 48.00

Race 1:

Firster by Laoban and great workouts coming in? Sign me up. Plus, we get Irad in the mix as well? This horse will be most likely favorite and I think we can get some value underneath, so will give this horse a play. (5) Barese should shoot to the lead in this 5 furlong sprint and trust this horse to be able to sustain a big run. Let us throw (2) Bali's Shade, (4) Coinage, and (6) Achilles Heel underneath to try and hit the exacta.

$5.00 WPS 5 Cost: $ 15.00

$3.00 Ex 5 w/ 2,4,6 Cost: $ 9.00

Not the best group of fillies and Mares in this NW2L turf event. So bad, that I am touting a 6yr old Mare that is 1 for 37. Some horses take for ever to knotch their 2nd win. They eventually find the right field and I’m thinking today is that day for (7) APPRECIATE. She still managed to earn a decent amount of money throughout her career hitting the board 41% of the time. A key difference for today is that Saez climbs aboard. He elevates horses a few lengths and they teamed up back in December to run her best race to date. That day was against much better. They will get overlooked at the windows and the extra furlong will only help.

Both (10) Joqular and (11) Pie Killer are the main danger, so we’ll use underneath.

$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 14.00

$ 7.00 Exacta 7 w/ 10, 11 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use Appreciate in R2 and try to crash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

(2) Remoane and (4) Honey Money look solid in the 3rd

$ 7.00 Double 7 w/ 2, 4 Cost $ 14.00

The favorites look good in here so will not be overthinking this one. (2) Bourbon Currency will be sitting right behind the pace that is expected from the outside and have a say come stretch drive. If this horse can repeat the performance last time out then I think this horse wins this one pretty handily. (6) Brazillionaire is going to be the early pace in here and attempt to wire the field. Irad is strong on the lead and should be a tough catch late. (10) Montauk Daddy had a nice performance on grass last time out and training lights out. This horse should be forwardly placed and that is the place to be on these grass races.

$3.00 Ex Box 2, 6, 10 Cost: $ 18.00

Race 5:

Again, we are looking at some chalk as I like the two morning line favorites in (3) Master of Hope and (4) Irresistible Girl. I really like Manny aboard the (4) Irresistible Girl to find the early lead and challenge the lower level field to catch. (3) Master of Hope is coming in off a long layoff and training pretty well. The class drop in here makes me believe that this horse is not as great as they anticipated, but looking to cash in on the horse where the field makes sense.

$5.00 Ex Box 3, 4 Cost: $ 10.00

Race 6:

(2B) Battalion is my top selection in here as I think this horse will be stalking the early pace and wait for the right opportunity to tip out wide in the stretch drive and eat up ground quickly. Brown finally drops (1A) Seismic Wave to a level he can compete at. Both he and Rosario will be flying late. Potts has an uncoupled entry and may use Mandate as the rabbit for (6) Vettori Kin. His race earlier this month jumps off the page and with a sharper pace, he might pass them all. (9) Vegas Kitten is my last play as I think this horse from the outside will be set up well to break towards the front and navigate a nice trip with horses in here that may not want the lead. I think this sets up well for a late run from this horse with a bit of a head start on the field.

$3.00 WPS 9 Cost: $9.00

$1.00 Ex Box 1, 2, 6, 9 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

The 1M distance today makes a difference to half the field in here. (3) RAFFINITY is a Tonalist as is (4) TAPPLE CIDER. Both won’t mind taking the long route. Raffinity was moving well in the slop last time and is expected to do the same with added ground. Tapple is a firster with two strong breezes for her debut. (2) A BIT O’IRISH SASS keeps improving and with the Uncle Mo influence, the one turn mile fits well. (5) VOICE OF SPRING ran her best race here on Big Sandy and now Rice gives stable rider the mount.

$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 3, 5 w/ 2, 3, 4, 5 Cost $ 18.00

Race 8:

I like two, but we’ll use three. Ward and Johnny V are winning most right now and they have (3) INTO THE SUNRISE. He gets some class relief and will likely try to bottom out the field. He came off the bench to post a decent number but most likely needed it. He figures to be ready to roll today. Brown will move (7) AHEAD OF PLAN back to the turf where he belongs. He’s burned a lot of cash through his career but Castellano seems to work for him as they have both of his wins together. I’ll take a shot with the Rice/Lezcano runner (6) HURRICANE HILL. He was soundly beaten by Ahead Of Plan two back but something was off and he never ran a step. He came back with a solid run after that. He took the winter off last year and returned in the spring to run lights out. We’re looking for that same cycle to happen today as he’s coming off a similar vacation.

$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00

$ 5.00 Ex 3, 6 w/ 3, 6, 7 Cost $ 20.00

Race 9:

I’m expecting (5) NOT PHAR NOW to go early and try to hold off the closers. If he can shake loose, he may not get caught. I’ll try to catch him with (1) OUR TROUBADOUR. He has no speed and needs the hot pace. I like the switch to Cancel as he has both of Troubadours wins and they came at this distance. He drops slightly for this. (8) TURN OF EVENTS gets Jose and he is 2 for 3 when aboard. The slight cutback and one turn 7F feels right for him. (4) LARCENY tried turf for the first time in his last. I think he liked it and now he gets Saez for a 2nd time turf.

$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 1, 8 w/ 1, 4, 5, 8 Cost $ 18.00
