Belmont racing on this Thursday afternoon and we are looking to take down a couple of pick 3 plays. I will be focusing in on races 4-6 and Big Pete will be locked in to races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and improve the bankroll on. We appreciate you taking a read and hope we can all make it a profitable day. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R4: 1, 4, 7, 8

R5: 3, 7

R6: 1, 5, 7, 8

Cost: $32.00

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

R7: 2, 4, 5

R8: 3, 5, 8, 10

R9: 5, 6, 7, 10

Cost: $48.00

Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 1:

(2) No Time Alone is the other Wesley Ward firster in here and looking at the current odds at 10:30 this morning they are close to 10/1. This horse has the pedigree, workouts, and jockey to make a big run in here. I will take those odds every time and see if we can cash in big.

$5.00 WPS 2 Cost: $15.00

$3.00 Ex 2 w/ 1,3,4,5 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 2:

(1) MICROMILLION has collected both of her wins on this Belmont course. She ran ok last time and looks poised for a good effort today. Saez returns for another crack and she may have found the right field. The outside runners will likely go at it early to set her up nicely. I don’t think we’ll get the 8:1 ML, but one can only hope.

Both (3) Saburai and (8) VIP Nation will try to take them all the way. Little Pete likes (7) Short Pour

$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00

$ 7.00 Exacta 1 w/ 3, 7, 8 Cost $ 21.00

We’ll also use Micromillion in R2 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

(2) Tremayne and (3) Lady Normandy look solid in the 3rd

$ 7.00 Double 1 w/ 2, 3 Cost $ 14.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 4:

I think this will be a competitive claiming race in here which is why I am going 4 horses deep. I do like (1) Anna's Fast to be FAST out of the gate and find the early lead, especially with the preferable post position. I will include in case this horse is allowed to dictate pace and has a head start come stretch drive and some stamina left. (4) CustomerExperience will be closing strongly late and prefer this Rudy horse in here to run a big one late. (7) True Castle looks extremely dangerous and will be sent into the action under Luis Saez. This horse will have a lot to say come stretch drive. (8) Glass Ceiling will be my last play here who is coming in from the outside, but proven ability to eat up ground late. I think this horse is a smart play in here.

$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 4,7 w/ 1,4,7,8 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 1,8 w/ 1,4,7,8 Cost: $6.00

Race 5:

I am going to trust the Ortiz brothers in here to get us through this leg. (3) O'Trouble looks fantastic on paper against this field and considered singling this horse. I love the stretch out on this horse and think the drop down in class is just a move to get some money for the barn and not a glaring red flag to me. In case this horse does not perform as expected then I will be looking to the outside in (7) Democratic Value. This horse will be aggressively ridden from the gate and should sustain a big run in here. I trust Irad to navigate a nice trip in here and that could pay off late.

$5.00 Ex Box 3,7 Cost: $10.00

Race 6:

(1) After Five is a must play in here and should run a front running race in here that most likely gets the job done. I just don't like betting horses after a losing effort being the clear favorite. (7) Digital Future is a bit of a wild card in here moving to grass and the extended layoff. I trust the Brown/Ortiz Jr connection and leaving this horse at this special weight level is a good sign for a big run in here. (8) Newsworthy found his footing on grass and gets some distance relief in here. We should expect Alvarado to be aggressive from the outside and be a major player throughout. My last play is the (5) Ocean Deep who has a distinct weight advantage and some nice workouts leading in. I think if this race breaks down on the front end that this firster could have enough in the tank late to make a good run at it; I especially like the morning line odds to give it a try.

$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1,7 w/ 1,5,7,8 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 5,8 w/ 1,5,7,8 Cost: $6.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

I’ll use (2) ALWAYS CARINA defensively but will not concede. She was impressive sprinting in her debut as she earned a high number. She’ll need to stretch out and do it on a dry track. It shouldn’t be a problem, but she faces better fillies today. I can’t get past the bullet (4) JORDON’S LEO ran in a Spa workout earlier this month. She blitzed maidens down south and seems to be holding that form up north. She figures to get a decent set up today and her odds will be better than the two favorites. (5) MALIBU CURL beat Jordon back in September and lost to a pretty good filly in a G2 in December. She resurfaces here today and gets both L1 and Saez. To me, she’s the one to beat and if we get the 5:2 ML, I may have to switch to that one.

$7.00 WPS 4 Cost: $21.00

$5.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 2,4,5 Cost: $20.00

Race 8:

(3) GHOUL seems to perform well for Rosario but this guy is 1 for his last 12. I’ll include but look elsewhere. We need to include Irad and (8) SHEKKY SHEBAZ as this guy has been keeping good company and Clement is hitting on all cylinders. However, he doesn’t like to win either. Noda has taken over for (10) BLIND AMBITION after a tussle with Vici who scored again last week. A Re-Pete of that run last month will make this 7yr a tough customer today. I like the other 7yr (5) HOLIDAY STONE in this spot. He gets back to sprinting on the grass which is what he wants. Went too far earlier this month and cuts back today. Weaver is heating up as is Lescano. I’m all in with this Harlan’s Holiday

$7.00 WPS 5 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 5,10 w/ 3,5,8,10 Cost: $18.00

Race 9:

There doesn’t appear to be much speed entered here so the advantage will go to (10) FORTUNA. She twice had to settle for 2nd when tackling this distance and Johnny V returns. If he can get her to settle, she should last today. Brown has been patient with (5) COALITION BUILDINGafter a 19Mo absence. Third time should be the charm for this Lemon Drop Kid and Irad returns. The “other“ Motion, (6) LISHEEN, will be the late threat if Fortuna gets pressured. Just missed last time as Jr didn’t time it right. He’ll look to rebound this time. (7) SPATIAL is bred perfectly for this 10F turf event. Clement has the go to guy up for this so my guess is, all systems go. Not sure what happened last time when facing several of these, but I’m guessing this War Front shows up today.

$7.00 WPS 10 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 5,10 w/ 5,6,7,10 Cost: $18.00
