Big Halloween day of racing at Belmont Park today and we are looking to take down a pair of pick 3 plays. These plays will be covering the PK6 sequence, which has a mandatory payout tomorrow, 11/1. I am going to focus in on races 5-7, while Big Pete is locked in on races 8-10. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and improve the bankroll with. Little Pete's $1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R5: 2, 3, 6, 7

R6: 2, 5, 6, 9

R7: 4, 7, 9

Cost: $48.00

Big Pete's $1.00 Late Pick 3:

R8: 1, 5, 7, 8

R9: 1, 2, 5

R10: 11, 12, 14, 15

Cost: $48.00

Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 1:

Give me (2) Brilliant Brooks in the first race today for Jeremiah Englehart. He is looking to have a pretty good day and I think has the horse to get the first win of the day under his belt in this one. I like that this horse is coming in after breaking his maiden and did it in wire to wire fashion. I think this horse will even improve from that effort and do not see a horse that will challenge early. I think that this horse will run on with this one and have plenty of stamina left late to win this one.

$7.00 WPS 2 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 2 w/ 3,4,6,7 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 2:

I like (8) MAGNETIQUE in this off the turf event. This gal took some time off after a big maiden score and tackling Officer Hutchy and Glass Ceiling back in January. Nevin gave her a public workout on the grass last month and has four clock-work like workouts in preparation for today. The switch to the dirt is probably what they were looking for so I have to take a shot at this 20:1ML.

$10.00 WPS 8 Cost: $30.00

$3.00 Ex Box 8,12,13 Cost: $18.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 5:

I do like the favorite in here, (3) Liam's Missy, and will include on the ticket but I would like to try and beat with a firster. I really like (6) JourneyToTheMoon in here to have a winning debut. This horse has been consistently training well and should be able to sit behind the early pace of this crew and have a convincing stretch drive. Irad is always aggressive early to get his horse's into a winning position and I expect more of the same. I also am going to give (2) White Frost a chance in here with an improved effort from last time out. I think that the horse has been training extremely well and could make a significant improvement second time out. My last play is going to be the outside horse in (7) Refund Country. I like this horse a lot to find the early lead and that could payoff well late if the field allows Saez to run unopposed. These babies do not typically like passing each other, so why not play the horse you think will be in the front early?

$4.00 WPS 6 Cost: $12.00

$2.00 Ex 3,6 w/ 2,3,6,7 Cost: $12.00

Race 6:

My top selection in here is going to be a strong closer in (9) Hungry Kitten. I think that we will get a relatively good price on this horse in the Zagora and think that the race will breakdown late in this marathon. I am anticipating (1) Beau Belle to find the early lead from the inside post and tire out late to stronger horses. I will also be including both of Christophe Clement horses in (2) Mutamakina and (5) Olympic Games. Both of these horses will be sitting behind the pace and try and run past tiring horses late. I will lastly include (6) Luck Money who I think will be relatively forwardly placed in this one by Castellano. This horse has the stamina to make this distance and if she has a head start on the other closers then I like her chances to take this one.

$3.00 WPS 9 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 2,9 w/ 2,5,6,9 Cost: $12.00

Race 7:

I am all in on (9) South Africa wiring this field in here. Coming in after two impressive performances with 90 beyer speeds, I think that Carmouche will be able to send this horse to the lead and not look back. In case the race does not go exactly how I have it playing in my head, then I will include (4) Jerry The Nipper and (7) Troubleshooter. (4) Jerry The Nipper ran a big race last time out and will be aggressively ridden in here which does make this horse a contender for me. (7) Troubleshooter is a horse that I think has upsetting on his mind. This horse switched surfaces two starts ago and hasn't lost. Albeit against weaker fields; I like horses that like to win. I know...Controversial.

$4.00 WPS 9 Cost: $12.00

$2.00 Ex Box 4,7,9 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 8:

We’re back on the grass for the Awad. We’ll use four in here as there are no real standouts. (7) SPACE LAUNCH has the sharp maiden win first out in his corner. The connections waste no time and gives him the acid test right away. Manny returns and improvement is expected. (1) SHAWDYSHAWDYSHAWDY was caught behind some slow pace last time but should get some speed to work with here. Lezcano will have to work out a trip from the one hole, so if they can get a clear path, they should come running. They were right behind (8) STEP DANCER who figures to get first jump on the closers. If Davis can time it right, they may hold on. (5) KIDNAPPED is who I’ll be looking for through the stretch. The switch to Irad is key as he had trouble in his last and still manage to get a close 3rd. Worth a shot at this 10:1 ML.

$7.00 WPS 5 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 1,5 w/ 1,5,7,8 Cost: $18.00

Race 9:

(5) MAJESTIC DUNHILL came back strong after trying G1 material at the Spa. Just missed last time against a game Lenstar. Rosario may try the lead today as he breaks outside the other speeds. It looks like (1) MIHOS has worked himself back in form. Both races this summer were not his best, then, went too wide last time to make up any serious ground. He still managed to get close to Dunhill. I like the switch to Irad here as Jerkens is all business today. (2) SHARE THE RIDE is the other speed. With a short field, speed can be very dangerous if left alone.

$7.00 WPS 1 Cost: $21.00

$5.00 Ex 1,5 w/ 1,2,5 Cost: $20.00

Race 10:

(14) SHE SO NAUGHTY makes a lot of sense here. I think they were looking for the switch to dirt even though they were entered as an AE. She’s yet to run a bad one against her fellow NY Breds. (11) SWEET SNEAK has shown speed on the turf. If she can do the same on the dirt, she can take them a long way. (15) MIZZEN THE MARK has a 2nd and 3rd with Saez up. Today looks like the win here. If she can Re-Pete her last, that will be good enough today. (12) COURTED has dirt pedigree and gets Jose. The barn is winning so this one is a must play for me..

$7.00 WPS 14 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 12,14 w/ 11,12,14,15 Cost: $18.00
