We are off the turf at Belmont on this nine race card. We are going to stay consistent and focus on taking down a pair of pick 3 plays, which cover the PK6 sequence. Big Pete was red hot last week and looks to carry the momentum into this week. I am looking for a rebound week and feel real good. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to maximize on. Make sure to subscribe to the newsletter to receive new blog post notifications and a weekly blog. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 5:

I really like (12) Home Run Maker to get this one to start off my PK3 leg. I think that this horse will find the early lead and have plenty of horse late to defeat this field. I will be keying in on this horse for my vertical action and think that you should strongly consider doing the same.

$7.00 WPS 12 Cost: $21.00

$5.00 Ex 12 w/ 14,15 Cost: $10.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

I like the longer priced LIAM”S MAP in this MCL 30K finale. (8) PLEASE has been away since May, but Hennings has this Grey’s worktab spaced out nicely. Out of Mr Greeley mare, she should relish the off and I’m sold on the cut back to the 6.5F will do the trick.

$10.00 WPS 8 Cost: $30.00

I’ll use (4) Buyer’s Remorse and (7) Sander’s Empire underneath.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 4:

I really like (12) Home Run Maker to take this one after the move to dirt and scratching into the race. I think this horse will be sent to the lead and not look back. I think we should include the two horses to the outside in (14) Vineyard Sound and (15) Skyler's Scramjet who I anticipate be sitting right behind the pace in here and could have a convincing stretch drive. I think this is (12) Home Run Maker's race to lose and will be making my "Play of the Day."

$5.00 WPS 12 Cost: $15.00

$4.00 Ex 12 w/ 14,15 Cost: $8.00

$2.00 Ex 14,15 w/ 12,14,15 Cost: $8.00

Race 5:

I think that this race is going to be a competitive one and going to spread a bit with four horses. I really like (1) Forgotten Hero to find the early lead and if she is left alone in the front early then she could steal this one. I like the form that the experienced racer in (4) JC's Shooting Star in here. I think that she will be able to close strongly against this group and like that Jose Ortiz is choosing to ride again. (6) Bustin to Please is going to be forwardly placed in here as well and the stretch drive could be a winning one. I think that this horse is in pretty good form for this level and could get it done. My last play will be (7) Awesome Alana who will be my top pick in here who I believe will be able to save ground throughout and the horse loves winning. I think that Lezcano will have a perfect trip in this one.

$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1,7 w/ 1,4,6,7 Cost: $12.00

Race 6:

(11) BischofBerger is an interesting play here and I am going to make my top pick for this race. This horse is bred to run on dirt and the workouts look great leading in. (14) Tenderfoot and (15) My First Grammy are two entries that get scratched in to this one with the move to dirt. I think both horses have shown enough ability on dirt that they deserve to be on the ticket. My last play is going to be the other firster in here, (12) I Got A Secret. I like the two workouts leading in and will expect an aggressive ride from Manny in here.

$3.00 WPS 11 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 11,15 w/ 11,12,14,15 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

The rain has taken a toll on this late Pk3 so I’ll only use two in this race. (2) SEASIDE RETREAT returns from a year absence. She took money that day and manage 2nd. I like the bullet work on 10/17 to her up here and she adds L1. Shug’s barn is doing well and they call on Jose for her 2 start. The obvious choice and the horse to beat here should be (4) TACTICAL MOVE. She too took money in her debut earlier this month and closed a little after a tardy start. Out of a Menifee Mare, she won’t mind the slop or the extra furlong. She looks fast based on her morning bullets and may prove tough to catch late. (6) UNDINE, IMO has the best slop pedigree of the bunch so we’ll include her underneath the top two.

$7.00 WPS 2 Cost: $21.00

$5.00 Ex 2,4 w/ 2,4,6 Cost: $20.00

Race 8:

The race seems to go threw (4) WICKED STRONG. He’s held his own in the last two against better here. I don’t like the layoff though. I’ll use defensively but, the outside runners looks live to me. (13) ABSENTEE will get overlooked coming shipping in for this. Has been consistent all year and his speed figs match up to these. Manny jumps on who won with him last year. Should stalk, then come with a nice run. (12) WENDELL FONG has also been facing better but regressed last time. It’s a good sign that Irad shows up here so we’ll go with that angle.

$7.00 WPS 13 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 4,13 w/ 4,12,13 Cost: $12.00

Race 9:

We’ll use the outside runners to close this out. (13) MAKE OR BREAK is the MTO pick and this Flatter won’t mind the slop. She tried turf but is better suited for dirt. She may have to reel in (15) STUNNING MUNNING though. She should be up close to the pace and get first jump on all of them. Didn’t get the cleanest run last time against Girl of Toscanova or she may have won. A Re-Pete of that effort probably wins here. Both (14) CLASSY SADIE and shipper (16) GIRARDI have similar stalking styles and one or both will make a run late to challenge the top two.

$7.00 WPS 13 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 13,15 w/ 13,14,15,16 Cost: $18.00
