We still have some great racing in NY with a ten card race today at Belmont. I am back and ready to roll in this one. We are going to attack a pair of pick 3 plays that cover the PK6 sequence as well as our "Play of the Day." I will be keying in on races 5-7, while Big Pete will be focusing in on races 8-10. Make sure to subscribe to the newsletter to receive notification of new blog posts and a weekly blog. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R5: 2, 3, 4

R6: 4, 5, 7

R7: 1, 2, 5

Cost: $27.00

Big Pete's $1.00 Late Pick 3:

R8: 5, 8, 9, 10

R9: 3, 6

R10: 1, 4, 10, 12

Cost: $32.00

Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 1:

Todd Pletcher sending out a firster at a mile distance has my interest. This horse has been training lights out and gets the aggressive Saez aboard. I anticipate a big run from this firster against a field that does not look to be break their maiden. Will hammer the WPS on this horse, (5) Plum Awesome.

$7.00 WPS 5 Cost: $21.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 4:

I usually stay clear of NW2L and NW3L races as these are usually runners at the end of their career runners or those that just can’t compete like they used too. However, I have to give (6) SARGEANT DRIVE one last shot. He was claimed three back and shipped to Englehart’s home track for modifications. Came back here last time and showed some improvement and Carmouche gets the call. The 12:1 ML and the cut back to 6.5F makes this guy a must play for me.

$10.00 WPS 6 Cost: $30.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 5:

My top selection in this one is going to be the Clement horse, (3) Vicarage. This horse looks to have found a home on grass and will be closing very strongly in here. (2) Accessible is another closer in here that I like in here. Jose Ortiz will have this horse forwardly placed early and a little head start on (3) Vacarage could be all that he needs to break his maiden. Last play will be (4) Lokoya Road who is the other Mike Maker horse in here who I anticipate to be the pace maker. Will play for Irad to be aggressive here and try and steal from closers.

$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 2,3,4 Cost: $12.00

Race 6:

(5) Chocolate Bar looks to be a tough beat in here on paper, but that is why they run the race. I will be trying to beat with (4) More Like It. I think that (4) More Like It will be sitting behind the pace in here and have a strong stretch drive to hit the wire first. I also will be including (7) Alley Oop Johnny who I think will be sent towards the front early and Dylan Davis likes to be aggressive from the gate. I will include in case the other jockeys let him loose on the lead.

$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 4,5,7 Cost: $12.00

Race 7:

My top selection in here is going to be the inside horse from the Pletcher barn, (1) Fort Worth. This horse has been improving each time out and having the inside post will allow this horse to break freely and be able to navigate a winning trip. (2) Celtic Chaos is another horse I will be including to close against the early pace in case they go at it up front. Saez is hungry for wins and will be aggressive here. (5) Build to Suit is my final play in here who I think will be able to stalk the early pace and be closing late.

$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 1,2,5 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 8:

We’ll use four in the first leg as this one came up competitive. (8) COME STORMING drops slightly and Saez returns. They should be up close to the pace early and get first jump on the closers. Not a ton of late kick in any of these NW2L runners so the winning move may be on the turn or top of the stretch for this group. Donk is struggling this meet so (10) STERLING BEAUTY has that to overcome but he’s helped in that Manny jumps on. Sometimes that’s enough. The filly I want is (9) STUY TOWN BABY. She returns to Belmont where she broke her maiden and ran her best race to date last time finishing 4th. Turf is where she belongs and she found the right group to be a player today. I’ll include (5) MORE MANGO as Maker claimed her two back and shown promise in both those start and gets Irad.

$7.00 WPS 9 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 8,9 w/ 5,8,9,10 Cost: $18.00

Race 9:

A possible single with (6) MONEY MOVES to cut cost on the bankroll as Pletcher puts this guy in a more realistic spot than the Derby. They may be using this as a public workout for bigger and better races later on. He should be tough to beat. It is horse racing and anything can happen, so that’s why I’ll include (3) AMERICANUS just in case. Jose may try to control this soon out of the gate as there doesn’t seem to be a lot of speed entered. It will be difficult to hold off “Money” late though.

$10.00 Ex 6 w/ 3,4 Cost: $20.00

Race 10:

(12) SECRET POTION will attract a lot of attention to close out this possible chalky Pk3. Brown shipped him up north to tackle G1 company, and he ran ok. Now moves back in against maidens. The post seems to be the only thing in his way. The “other” Brown is also interesting at a better price. (4) ENGRAVE tries turf for the first time and outworked Secret Potion on Oct 11th. If the turf feels right underneath this guy, he and Jose can take them all the way. We’ll include two trainers that are putting out winners this meet. Mott has (1) HACHURE and he convinced Irad to climb aboard him instead of one of Browns. I’ll take a shot with this Juddmonte runner to be live here. Weaver has (10) GHOST STALKER. Nothing flashy with him but both trainer and jock are in a zone right now. Worth to include this 15:1 shot on your ticket.

$7.00 WPS 1 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 1,12 w/ 1,4,10,12 Cost: $18.00
