An early start to a week of racing at the Big A? Fast and Firm with four on the turf. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $ 5.00 Early Double:

R1: 5, 6

R2: 2, 5 Cost: $ 20.00

Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R4: 2, 4, 6

R5: 2, 5, 8, 9

R6: 3, 5, 10 Cost: $ 36.00

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

R7: 1, 5, 8

R8: 1, 2, 6

R9: 4, 5, 9, 11 Cost: $ 36.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

(7) EDISTRUDIS has been moving around from barn to barn, so she has to be doing something right to catch their eye. She was hitting high-speed figures last year and may be moving in the right direction. The new barn gets aggressive today as they move up slightly. I like the outside draw, and they recruited Franco. They should stalk outside and let her loose late on the cutback to 6F.

I’ll use (3) Proud Foot and (4) Defended underneath for the exacta.

$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 21.00

$ 7.00 Ex 7 w/ 3, 4 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use (7) Edistrudis in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

(2) Magni and (4) Gotta Guy in the 4th.

$ 7.00 Daily Double 7 w/ 2, 4 Cost $ 14.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(1) REFUAH and (8) SHADOW DRAGON have both been consistant and usually show up when they run. They don't win often enough but neither does everyone entered here. They are capable of running a big one so I'll include. They have to beat (5) CUT THE CORD as this guy is tough to beat when in against fellow NY Breds. His last three are good enough to win today so I'll lean a little more on him.

$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex Box 1, 5, 8 Cost $ 18.00

Race 8:

(6) LET IT RIDE has decent speed figures to stack up well against this group. They may try to go early today with a lack of speed signed on for this. (1) ALEXIS ZORBA seems to run well for Rosario with a win and a fast-closing 2nd. He likes 2nd too much, though, so I'll try to beat him again. I'll side with Prat and (2) MUSICAL MAESTRO, and hope the 3rd time is the charm. They were close in their last two, and they figure to save some ground from the inside draw. A hole needs to open up, or Flavien will have to create his own.

$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex Box 1, 2, 6 Cost $ 18.00

Race 9:

(5) FAZZONE and (11) RAFA JUNIOR drop slightly. Fazzone took money in his debut and ran around evenly, but not that far behind. Rafa may have lost it at the start in a sprint and couldn't catch up. The stretch out should help. (4) MR BROWNS TOWN moves to the grass after two attempts got rained off. They were both at claiming levels, though, and that's not Chad's winning move, so he may be looking to unload this one. I want to take a shot in this finale with a first-timer (9) NARNIA. Johnny V is still named on this runner, and he's sticking around for this. With Artie Schiller underneath, this guy will like the distance and sports two bullets leading up to this. He'll be the gray blur moving down the stretch when they turn for home. The 10:1 ML is too much to pass on.

$ 7.00 WPS 9 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 9, 11 w/ 4, 5, 9, 11 Cost $ 18.00
