Spring time racing in New York and we are at the Big A for 8 races today. I will be condensing my plays to just the number and will be taking down the early double (Races 1-2) and a middle pick 3 ( Races 3-5) . Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 6-8). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 2:

Short field signed on which will produce a short price on (5) TAP THE FAITH. I can't argue that as this Tapit drops after a decent attempt in a G2. She out of a Super Savor Mare so the off going should only help. I'll lean heavy on this one to collar the rail runner, (1) Diamond Collector, for a cold exacta.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 6:

(5) GUNS BLAZING is fresh off the claim for Klesaris and he retains Gomez. This filly has speed and has shown she can handle the mud. She should clear off and let the track help carry her all the way. (8) ADDILYN will be the late danger. If others go and we get a hot pace, she benefits the most of this bunch. The switch to Davis jumps off the page so if we get anywhere near the 9:2 ML, I'm all in. The savor is (7) LADY BY CHOICE as this one drops in off a wire to wire win last time.

Race 7:

(6) CASTLE CHAOS has been facing a few decent runners in his short career. The cut back to 6F for this Palace Malice is perfect and McCarthy joins in. (3) AMERICAN GENTLEMAN probably likes the shorter sprint as well. A Re-Pete of his last race puts him right there. (5) SCOCCIATORE hhas three straiht 2nds and I'm guessing more of the same today. The switch back to Davis gives him a shot to break that spell. (9) TRASH TALKER will be doing just that early on in this race as he appears to be the fastest out of the gate. He better shut up turning for home and let his running do the talking late.

Race 8:

Potts has been doing well lately as (2) FAZARO showed a major improvement last time at a big price. We won't get anywhere near that price today but I'm expecting a better result. This Frosted should sit chilly early, save some ground and then tip out for the stretch. (1) MOTION TO STRIKE drops back to the right level and has the speed to be dangerous up front. He'll be forced to go from the rail but that is his best chance at winning this.

(8) MISTER J T has been competative in a few of his races. Donk pops every now and then and with the Stay Thirsty influence, the moisture won't hurt him. I will take a stab (4) ANGELI BLU is shipping in and dropping slightly. He's coming off a short vacation but he's been active in the morning. There's plenty of turf pedigree but, that often translates to handling muddy tracks as well. I can't ignore the bullet gate work a week or so ago and gets the hot bug up for this.
