A muddy start for this week on this Thursday action from the Big A. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double. (Races 1 & 2) and a middle double (Races 4-5) with only 7 races carded for today. Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 5-7). Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

(1) COQUITO has been on a roll of late and switches to a barn that has been in the money 50% of the time. They throw in Prat and that makes this mare tough. I won't try to beat her. There are two logical runner ups so we'll take the layup instead of trying the other three entered.

I’ll use (2) Kyle's Mom and (6) Floge to hang on underneath for the exacta.

We’ll also use (1) Coquito in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

(3) Garden Of Grace and (4) Patience N Grace in the 4th.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 5:

(2) SPIRIT OF ESTER collects checks and tries every time. She may have found her friends today as most in here are not that fast. She might be able to shake loose. (5) ROGUE JUSTICE just broke her maiden and tries "winners" for the for time. Lucky for her, this group doesn't win much. She doesn't have to improve much today. This group is tough and that's why I want to try the 1 for 27 mare, (7) THAT'STHEFACTJACK. She has come around in her last two and the track hasn't been kind to closers in February, so maybe she can run these down on a fair track. I like the switch to Rodriguez for her as he's been riding well this meet.

Race 6:

(2) FRIC AND FRAC will duke it out on the front end with Scappy. I'm not sure either one can shake loose here so I'll lean more on the runners that will come later on. (7) MO FOR THE KING will move first as Prat will keep him close enough to push by when the front runners tire. The cut back makes this gelding dangerous. I'll lean a little more on (6) APOLLO CODE and (8) CAPT JAX PARROW. Apollo should follow the King and fight till the end and the Capt will have to pass them all as he likes to closes from way back.

Race 7:

(8) SHARP SPARK takes a sharp drop here and no chance last time with the inside bias in his last. They switch to Manny and finds th right field today. (5) SECURED LANDING is the speed as Ness ships him in to play in the big leagues. Not much of a class hike against these though. (6) LOTSA TROUBLE didn't show much first time out for Atras. I'm going to draw a line through that one and forget that it happened. He's neem consistent prior to that outing and I'm guessing he bounces back.
