Thursday racing at Aqueduct and we have the entire card covered. I will be condensing my plays to just the number and will be taking down the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

(5) LADY THORNHILL exits a couple of races where that competition looks better than these. Donk enters a rabbit to keep the pace honest for his closer. Look for Jose to track them and come late to win it.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(2) ALLEY OOP JOHNNY takes the drop from Alw to Claimer in this NW3L turf event. Most times, that’s enough, but this one looks wide open. We’ll use defensively and try to beat him with either (7) RECKLESS SPIRIT or (8) FINGAL. Reckless Spirit gets the rider upgrade and Bond is off to a good start. Fingal drops slightly for Rudy and returns to the right surface.

Race 8:

The Blame gelding (7) CAVEAT EMPTER, has turned it around this summer and after a slight break, returns with Jose up. I’m expecting a big run from him today off his 48 flat bullet last week. Brown has (4) LONESOME FUGITIVE in here as this one also comes off a short break. He’s been earning checks but not collecting wins. Maybe they worked that out with the break. (8) HIGH TIDE has a few races that stand out against these. Martin puts go to rider up and grass seems to be his thing.

Race 9:

Maidens go one lap around the Aqueduct oval. (1) DR LEVY just needs to Re-Pete his debut run and that should be enough. He stretches out but that should not bother him.

(8) PERFECT FLIGHT took lots of money and then stopped. I’ll draw a line through that one and give this guy another shot. Lezcano up indicates that this guy may be live. Watch the board to see if the money shows up again. (2) AUTHORIZE shouldn’t mind the two turns as he can control the race right from the start. If Jose can get a breather, they likely don’t catch him. (5) CITIZEN MACK can come late for a piece. He’ll need the top three to come back to him.
