Thursday action at Belmont at the Big A. Fast and Firm with four on the turf. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

I couldn't get past the neck finish for (8) RED VELVET CAKE last time. She was well clear of the third filly that day and looms large from this outside draw. I won't try to beat her.

I’ll use (2) Bodegas and (4) Patience N Grace underneath for the exacta.

We’ll also use (8) Red Velvet Cake in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(7) MARGARITA MOLLY showed some speed in both of her starts so more of the same with her. (9) MAGIC IN MY EYES could be the other speed. She chased in her debut and still managed 2nd. An alert start can make the difference to get position turning for home. (8) HOT CURRENCY has burnt money in both of her starts, third time could be the charm. (5) POWER OF WOMEN debuts with two solid bullets coming into this race. Interesting that Rosario takes the call.

Race 8:

(3) GALLANT GRETA will get most of the attention and rightfully so. She drops from the Ticonderoga where she just missed. She finds a much easier group today. We'll use one savor incase she takes the afternoon off. (1) NONNA LYNNE was up in time against NW1 last time. Not much of a jump in class with this field.

Race 9:

(3) ROAGNA drops in for a tag and picks up Franco. He meets the right field as several in here may never get there 2nd career win. A must use. Finishing right behind Roagna when they met is (7) VINO SAMARA. She a much better price and has a little more speed than that one. Jose can control up front if they get away clean. The savor is (10) LOTUS PETAL as she has back to back 2nd place finishes against this level. She needs to save ground somewhere.
