We have a Spring-like afternoon of racing at Aqueduct and we are once again locked in to cashing some tickets. I will be condensing my plays to the numbers and looking to take down the early double (Races 1-2) and a middle pick 3 ( Races 4-6 ). Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Day" and try to cash another late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:
R1: 5, 6
R2: 1, 3, 5
Cost: $12.00
Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:
R4: 1, 2, 4, 6
R5: 4, 8
R6: 4, 5, 6
Cost: $24.00
Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:
R7: 3, 5, 6
R8: 1, 5
R9: 3, 6, 7, 9
Cost: $ 24.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
Something went wrong with (5) FLOWER MOON when she dropped to this level in February. She was bet hard and then just stopped mid race. She was claimed that day and given some time off. Franco is added and the March 19th bullet is a good sign she might bloom today. She has speed to take control early or sit just behind and reel them in late.
$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00
We’ll use her with (1) New York Banker and (4) Saratoga Kisses underneath
$ 7.00 Exacta 5 w/ 1, 4 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use Flower Moon in a DAILY DOUBLE play.
Both (2) Somebody and (4) Double Shot look solid in the 4th
$ 7.00 Double 5 w/ 2, 4 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
We have a wide open NYS claiming race to kick off the late Pk3. (6) PRAIRIE FIRE once dominated this level and has quietly shown signs of competing again. A nice win last time and is primed for another run. I want to take a shot with one of the possible speeds. (5) DIVA BANKER may have found 7F to be just a tad to far for her. I like the slight cut back and figures to have the lead into the stretch. If he can get some daylight early she should have enough energy to hold them off. The ridiculous pick I can’t resist is (3) MOSIENKO. She drops a little in here and made up some ground on better animals last time. Her Feb 11th race would be good enough against these today.
$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 5, 6 w/ 3, 5, 6 Cost $ 12.00
Race 8:
I’m only interested in two in here. The favorite, (1) VELVET SISTER, is a defensive play. Something obviously went wrong last time and they gave her some time off. She returns with L1 and cuts back. If she’s 80 %, it’s enough to get it done but that’s a big if. (5) PRETTY CLEVER is the one I want. She’s put back to back 3rd place finishes that stack up well against these runners. There is enough speed signed on to set up her late run. She needs Velvet to have an off night and will be a much better price.
$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 1, 5 w/ 1, 3, 5 Cost $ 12.00
Race 9:
We’ll spread out to include four to close out the sequence but I will be all in with
(6) BLIND SIGHT to take them down at this 6:1ML. She managed 3rd on a track that wasn’t too kind for outside closers and it showed. I like the short cut back to 6F and Lezcano will try again. In no particular order (3) MY LITTLE LULU has speed, (7) SWEET SUGAR BABY drops in for a tag and (9) ICE KREEM SUNDAE is second time out for Rudy.
