We have a Spring-like afternoon of racing at Aqueduct and we are once again locked in to cashing some tickets. I will be condensing my plays to the numbers and looking to take down the early double (Races 1-2) and a middle pick 3 ( Races 4-6 ). Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Day" and try to cash another late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:

R1: 1, 2, 4

R2: 4, 8
Cost: $12.00

Little Pete's $2.00 Spot Pick 3:

R4: 2, 4, 6

R5: 2

R6: 3, 4, 6

Cost: $18.00

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

R7: 2, 4, 5, 7

R8: 1, 3, 5

R9: 1, 5, 6, 7

Cost: $ 48.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

Pletcher ships in a heavy favorite that’s been off for awhile and now drops to this low level. Looks like damaged goods and they looking to unload him. That should help get us a decent price on the other favorite, (4) EL MAYOR. Davis get another chance to give this guy a chance. They were too wide to make a difference last time and we should see a better result today. If Acceptable Risk is ok, he wins but these drops are not a safe bet and we’re supposed to try and beat them. Hoping for 4:1 on the Mayor.

$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00

We’ll use him with (5) Dontbelate and (6) Acceptable Risk underneath

$ 7.00 Exacta 4 w/ 5, 6 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use El Mayor in a DAILY DOUBLE play.

Both (4) Perceived and (6) Group Hug look solid in the 4th

$ 7.00 Double 4 w/ 4, 6 Cost $ 14.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(4) SWEET FRANNY LU may have the advantage with this group. She has speed and there seems to be a lack of it from the others. Davis will gun to the front and lull them to sleep. If they can get a little daylight turning for home, she’ll be tough to reel in. (7) WATERVILLE responded well when she tackled NY Breds the first time at the Spa. She was awarded 1st on now returns off a mini vacation with L1. It’s not easy facing winners for the first time but she bred to have some talent turfing. I’ll go with the hot hand and use Carmouche and (5) POP THE BUBBLY. Turf seems to be her thing as she makes her 2022 debut. Her best two races were her last two last fall and I’m guessing she’s all grown up this year and ready for action.

$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 4, 5 w/ 2, 4, 5, 7 Cost $ 18.00

Race 8:

(5) BATTLE BLING is battle tested ad has picked it up a notch in her last three. The two turns will likely help this long winded filly. The connections are doing well so we’ll go with the hot hand in this one as well. (1) EXOTIC WEST has been solid on either surface since the Fall. She belongs with this group today and gets Castellano. (3) FROST POINT always shows up. She didn’t handle the mud that well last but still managed to get 2nd. Franco rides for the first time and he’ll try to time it right with a late run.

$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 3, 5 w/ 1, 3, 5 Cost $ 12.00

Race 9:

Pletcher’s (1) WHATLOVELOOKSLIKE is the filly to beat. I’ll use defensively and try t beat her as she’s been off for a while. I’ll leave out the Brown runner and focus on two prices. (5) ARISAEMA did not come prepared in her debut last Nov and did no running early. She got on track late but it was too late. Look for Davis to get her in the game early and make her late kick count. Because of the scratch… I’ll Go All In with (7) CAPE COD CAUSEWAY. She was dismissed at long odds in her debut on the grass. A none threatening 4th but she beat many in that one. Then showed a little speed on the dirt and now moves back to the proper surface. McCarthy takes the reigns and he is off to a good start. L1 was added last time and seems poised for a good run today. Brown is usually dangerous in these races so we’ll include (6) LIMANI as she makes her turf debut.

$ 7.00 WPS 11 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 1, 11 w/ 1, 5, 6, 11 Cost $ 18.00
