We are finishing the first week of March with some racing in Aqueduct. We will be looking to cash in some tickets headed towards March Madness. I will be looking to take down the early double (Races 1-2) and a middle pick 3 (Races 3-5). Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Day" and try to cash another late pick 3 (Races 6-8). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's Early Double:
Race 1:
(2) Magnetique to the inside should seek the early lead and if left alone, then it will be a repeat of two back; a wire to wire win. (3) That is Key is going to be sitting right behind the pace and wait on the go from Eric Cancel to shoot down the stretch towards the front runners. (5) Indian Bella is my last play who I think is aggressive early to get a rail position and wait for the lane to open up to run an impressive stretch drive.

Race 2:
(1) Scott Alaia to the inside should run a repeat performance from last time out and makes this horse a very dangerous horse. (5) Linny Kate is going to be led towards the front and wait for the lane to open up late and I trust Trevor McCarthy to send this horse at the right time. (6) Cross Island is a dangerous closer in here and Dylan Davis is running extremely well; must play for me.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
This NY Bred sprint for 3yrs came up strong. Several in here with the resume to win it. I can't resist the 6:1 ML that (2) DAUFUSKIE ISLAND. He gets L1 for this after his lack luster last race. May have some issues there so I'll draw a line threw that one. His 3rd place finish two back to Re-Pete winner Barese jumps off the page for me. Gomez gets a 2nd chance and figures to be tough in here.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 3:
(1) Ava K's Boy to the inside is going to be my top play in here. This horse broke his maiden and then ran a good second next time out against winner's. I think that effort assists this horse into finding the winner's circle in this one. (2) Daufuskie Island is a seasoned three year old and I think that this horse benefits from an early pace battle. (3) Impressionist is facing winner's for the first time, but the wire to wire effort last time out was too impressive to leave off in this one.

Race 4:
(3) Red Pepper Grill gets back to six furlongs and should have the ability to run on with this one late against this lower level field. (4) Appreciate had an impressive race last time out and I think a repeat performance will make this horse dangerous late. (7) Half Day Pam is lightly race and has the potential to be ok. Her maiden win might be enough against these. (8) Sabreen is my last play in here to the outside as this horse just broke her maiden and should be set up to run a big race late against this field; which is how she broke her maiden.

Race 5:
(2) Lost in Rome is a closer to the inside that I really like in here and I think we could get at a very decent price. (3) Blewitt is just a horse that I can't leave off my ticket. This horse won 2 of the last 3 in wire to wire fashion and this field does not scream speed to me. (6) Regal Quality has vengeance on the brain against (3) Blewitt and had an impressive win in closing fashion last time out; this horse is poised for a nice stretch drive. (7) Prioritize is my last play under Trevor McCarthy. This horse needed some class relief and may be too good come stretch drive to catch late.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 6:
I’m interested in just two in here but we’ll add a savor as well. (3) YANKEE DIVISION is rolling right now so the move to the Atras barn shouldn’t hurt. McCarthy returns and has the advantage with his early speed. (1) NO SALT has also been in good form for some time now. His last may be his best yet. The slight cut back will help and gets an aggressive rider to hold position on the rail. The wildcard is (4) JUST RIGHT. His race two back jumps off the page and followed that up nicely when he stretched out to this 1M distance. He may be the one moving forward at the end and the ML is tempting.

Race 7:
(4) MAIDEN BEAUTY has come back from a short rest to dominate on the front end. She doesn’t appear to have much company early today so she’ll have the advantage if left alone. She held off (3) BATTLE BLING two back but Bling has improved since then. McCarthy will likely stay close and gather momentum through the stretch. I can’t see past these two.

Race 8:
I’ll lean on two in the finale that drop from the MSW ranks. (3) DOROTHY’S THE BOSS is the filly to beat. She’s hit the board against better this past spring but then went to the bench. She returned in Jan and met a salty group. I’ll toss that and hope the drop is not a sign of damaged goods. The Feb 27th work was sharp for this level so maybe she gets back to those races today. (5) LOLLYGAG has been training out of town, then shipping in to run. She’s a NY Bred so connection may have found the right group dropping in. She gets a break in the weights and a little speed to set up her late run. (4) KNOT JOKING is a firster from Practical Joke so speed is possible. (9) EASY PLAY is the speed and cut back slightly. They will need to catch her for the money.
