Cold afternoon of racing but at least the racing is heating up. I will be condensing my plays to just the number and will be taking down the early double (Races 1-2) and a middle pick 3 ( Races 4-6 ) . Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 ( Races 7-9 ). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

It feels as though Mandatory has had many chances and I’m going to leave him out.

(4) RATIONAL CHOICE is just the opposite. He came off a long layoff and showed some promise finishing 3rd to a salty group. Brown has him ready to move on with some swift breezes in the morning. I’ll use him on top and look for either (2) Bay Street Money or (3) Comedic Timing to get past Mandatory for the exacta.

$ 10.00 Ex 4 w/ 2, 3 Cost $ 20.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

It appears (8) GRUDGE may have a slight advantage up front. Franci will send her and I don’t see many putting pressure on her. Atras claimed her two back and has had more time to prepare her. She’ll likely stay outside and take them all the way. The main danger will come from (7) BYHUBBYHELLOMONEY. She’ll need someone to push Grudge or she’ll be running for 2nd. She’s been keeping better company and I like the swift cut back to 6F. I’m banking that either Karen or Bustin will bother Grudge just enough for her to say Hello to the Money. (5) ROSSA VELOCE beat Grudge last time so she proved she can close in with a melt down as well.

$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex Box 5, 7, 8 Cost $ 18.00

Race 8:

We have the 3yr old fillies on tap for the Ruthless. I can’t get past the two favorites in here as both have a race or two that put away the rest. (4) MISS INTERPRET got a confidence builder last time after trying G1 & G2 runners this Fall. A tardy start didn’t help but showed signs that she can still compete. Pletcher is hot right now winning everything down south. Maybe he can phone it in for this gal. (7) SHOTGUN HOTTIE ships in and attracts McCarthy. This Gun Runner cuts back to the 7F distance and the trainer is doing well here. There is plenty of speed inside her to set up shop right behind and come with her run late. The others look dicey to me but I’ll include two prices underneath to juice up the exacta, (2) LADY MILAGRO and (5) Landslid.

$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 4, 7 w/ 2, 4, 5, 7 Cost $ 18.00

Race 9:

There are plenty of speeds that could go at it early in this one. The favorite, (7) COUSTEAU, is one of them. Carmouche may want to see what develops to his left before sacrificing his runner. The others have no choice but to go from the inside and he’ll get caught wide the whole way. If he can rate, he can take over around the turn and try to hold off the closers. (5) JAKE ROCKS will be coming at the end but he rarely gets there. If the speeds collapse though, they can hand it to him on a platter. I’ll lean on (6) ROCCO STRONG to stalk and take over mid stretch. He’s been facing slightly better in his last few and has the right running style for the most recent track bias

$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 6, 7 w/ 2, 5, 6, 7 Cost $ 18.00
