Cold afternoon of racing but at least the racing is heating up. I will be condensing my plays to just the number and will be taking down the early double (Races 1-2) and a middle pick 3 ( Races 4-6 ) . Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 ( Races 7-9 ). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:
R1: 2, 5, 6
R2: 3, 4, 6
Cost: $ 18.00
Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:
R4: 1, 2, 4, 6
R5: 2, 3, 4
R6: 2, 3, 5, 7
Cost: $ 48.00
Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:
R7: 1, 2, 6
R8: 2, 4, 5, 6
R9: 1, 3, 7, 8
Cost: $ 48.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(5) GREATEST LOVE is fresh off the Rice claim and she sticks with Carmouche. She’s the young filly facing older mares who may have lost a step or two. The 1M for this Speightster should not be an issue. She probably sits right behind the front runners and waits till the start to back up
$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 1, 5, 6 Cost $ 18.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
(1) OK HONEY just doesn’t win a lot but I like that she’s fresh off a claim and goes 1M again. There’s not much to beat in here and she may have found the right field. The same could be said about (6) DESTINATIONWNRSCIR who is 1 for 10. They both will be short odds but on their best day can win. We’ll include them both but I’m done with the cold and ready for the beach so I can’t resist (2) ENTER SANDWOMAN. Since moving to NY, she hasn’t made an impact but I like the extra furlong she gets today. McCarthy sticks with her and she showed some improvement last time climbing into 4th. She figures to get a decent set up as the front runners usually back up late.
$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 1, 2, 6 Cost $ 18.00
Race 8:
If (6) BREAKFASTATBONNIES brings her A game, she’ll waffle these. She’ll likely sit just off (4) SADIE LADY and wait for Vargas’ signal. Sadie likes the Big A, so if she’s right, she’s capable of taking them all the way. (2) KEPT WAITING will do just that. Franco will wait, then wait, then wait and then come late. Falcone is rolling right now and she has 2 in a row. I’m looking for three. (5) TIME LIMIT will be the first stalker to move and she rarely runs a bad race. A must use to hit the board.
$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 2, 5, 6 Cost $ 18.00
Race 9:
There’s a possibility that (7) TUESDAY’S CHILD gets to the front all alone. He showed some speed when they stretched him out last time and I think that is the plan today. There is no speed entered, so if Worrie can clear, that just have to maintain a good rhythm as the others don’t have that much closing speed. (8) SIR WILLIAM did manage 4th when he tried this 1M distance. Gets a new jock and should avoid trouble out there. (1) BELLBOY is the one I want. He’s been awful up to now, but Davis ends up here. It wasn’t the best start for him last time but managed to make up some ground. He should save some ground which is what he needs to stay close. (3) RUSH TO HONOR is the obvious choice to take this. He’s lightly raced, has Rice/Lezcano and drops. I’ll include but it feels like a trap.
