Chilly but dry for this Sunday at the Big A. We have a 9 race carded and short fields. I will be condensing my plays down to just the number and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's $3.00 Early Double:
R1: 1, 3
R2: 3, 5
Cost: $12.00
Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:
R4: 1, 3, 4, 5
R5: 4, 6, 7
R6: 3, 4, 6
Cost: $36.00
Big Pete's $ 3.00 Late Pick 3:
R7: 5
R8: 5, 8
R9: 1, 3, 7, 9
Cost: $ 24.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
I don’t trust the even money favorite as he burnt money in his last two and faces slightly better today. I want the Atras trained (6) VICTIM OF THE NITE. He made a pit stop accross the country and broke his maiden rather easy in Maryland and ends up here. The outside draw is an advantage if e have yesterdays track. Davis is riding well and they can stalk the inside speed and run by them all late.
(3) Bobby The Tank and (5) Valenzan Day to fill in the exacta for me.
$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Ex 6 w/ 3, 5 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use (6) VICTIM OF THE NITE in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.
(4) BANTERRA or (5) SECURITY CODE look the best in the 4th.
$ 7.00 Double 6 w/ 4, 5 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
With some contenders staying in the barn, (5) BANK ON ANNA is odds on to get it done. She's as consistent as they get in this NY division. She finds the wire when facing fellow NY fillies and the 7F is perfect. She normally bounces back quickly off a not so good race like last time and is a must for me. SINGLE
$ 7.00 Ex 5 w/ 3, 6 Cost $ 14.00
$ 7.00 DD 5 w/ 5, 8 Cost $ 14.00
Race 8:
I'll try to beat Somelikeithotbrown with the two dirt sprint specialist (5) MY BOY TATE and (8) BANK IT. Both are aging but still producing on this NY circuit. My Boy Tate was awesome in the Hudson and followed that with a 47 bullet work on 11/29. This 8yr old looks like he did several seasons ago and I have to side with him here. Bank It loves to hit the board and moisture is his friend. Both should fight it out tlll the end.
$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 5, 8 w/ 1, 2, 5, 8 Cost $ 18.00
Race 9:
This late pk3 has a chalky feel to it in the first two so we'll try to catch a price here. (1) EMINENCY moves down the claiming ranks and looks well spotted. The same can be said about (9) GINNSU WARRIOR. He also moves back to the dirt where he has shown some ability on that surface. I like two 10:1ML geldings in this spot. I'm leaning more with (7) KINGSTOWN as this Central Banker drops slightly and ran huge two back against Re-Pete winner Built To Last. That one dominated earlier this week. Look for this guy to bounce back today facing weaker foes. The other is (3) HE'S GOTTOSHORTFUSE who is coming of his maiden win. The 6F works for this guy and Davis takes the call.
