We have a cold Saturday afternoon of racing but at least the racing is heating up with the Gr.3 Gotham in the 10th. I will be condensing my plays to just the number and will be taking down the early double (Races 1-2) and a middle pick 3 ( Races 5-7) . Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 Races 8-10). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 4:

The cheapest race on the card is where will try to make the money. NW2L 16k Claimers go at it. There are several in here that need the lead in order to win. So with many gunning to the lead, I feel the perfect set up is in store for (3) MATTY’S MARAUDER. He’s been consistent in his last three races posting numbers that will win at this level. His 2nd to a dominate Uno last time should have this guy on his toes and wait for the speeds to back up.

We’ll use him with (2) Brunate and (9) Breaking Stones underneath

We’ll also use Matty’s Marauder in a DAILY DOUBLE play.

Both (1) Moped Dennis and (6) State Planning look solid in the 5th

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 8:

I’m not a fan of Trash Talker and I’m trying to get by without. (7) AMERICAN GENTLEMAN beat him two back and the 1M last time was probably not his thing. The 7F fits better here as he can stalk and come late. Same could be said for (1A) CASTLE CHAOS. He faced better first time against winners last month and Falcone switches to Franco. The 7F also works in his favor and the outside draw keeps him out off trouble. I’m not sure (3) KAZ’S BEACH can win here but he offers great value and a closing kick. The cutback is perfect and he runs well on this oval. He exits a sharp race where he ran sneaky good posting a decent number.

Race 9:

(6) RADIO DAYS got caught napping down in Florida as she made her move too late. She may not have been cranked all the way as well. Some decent bullets followed that race so I’m thinking she’ll turn up the volume today. A must use for me. (5) MAGIC CIRCLE may have an advantage if they leave her alone up front. She had everything her own way last time and there’s potential for that today. (4) VENTI VALENTINE will offer some pressure as she beat Magic in Dec. The trainer is having a tough meet though so I can’t pull the trigger on this gal.

Race 10:

I’m only interested in two but will use two more as savors. (9) MORELLO is the colt to beat IMO. This Classic Empire has done everything right and stretches to the 1M. With many speeds signed on he figure to get a perfect set up. (10) ROCKEFELLER shipped in for win the Nashua last year and Baffert will try it again. A decent 2nd in the Sham should have this guy on his toes. The two prices that I like are (3) GOLDEN CODE and (6) LIFE IS GREAT. Life was 2nd to Morello last time and will get overlooked today. Golden just broke his maiden by 10 lengths and it’s Pletcher.
