Nine races to tackle on this Saturday card at the Big A. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

Weaver is having a meet as he sends out (8) SONIC SURGE here with a race under his belt. A tardy start and wide trip in the mud is not what you draw up for a debut. He draws nice outside today and can watch the speeds go at it up front. Jose can stalk and pounce when he chooses. A bullet last week has him ready to go today.

I’ll use (2) Iron Honor and (6) Funny See Funny Do underneath for the exacta.

We’ll also use (8) Sonic Surge in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(3) WEIGH THE RISKS will take a lot of action and rightfully so. She is 4 out of he last five in the win department and shows up every time. She's a must play for me but the 1M favors my upset chance in here. Pletcher gave (2) SCALABLE a rest this year and brought her back in September. A little aggressive in the G2 but bounced back nicely next out against Weigh The Risks. She closed well to get 3rd and looks primed for a nice effort today. This Speightstown should love the 1M and will be coming home late.

Race 8:

Brown has two entered and both look tough to beat. The speed will come from (5) COLLECT THE DATA. She has been dominating NY Breds recently and could up her game against these today. If they let her control up front, she may never look back. Her stablemate will be her strongest challenge. (6) FILLY FREEDOM added blinkers two back and ran away from MSW back in October. Then they got aggressive and entered the G2 Mother Goose off the medication. Now L is added, find an easier spot and cut back to one turn. She looks strong in here.

Race 9:

(5) PRINCESS BECCA and (8) CAPITAL GAL have speed and should keep each other company early on. One of them will try to shake loose and win it turning for home. I like the two closers/stalkers (10) GRACEFUL ROSE and (7) CLEARWATER BEACH run well turning for home. Who ever can work out a trip as the advantage. I'll side with Graceful Rose to catch them late.
