R9: 6, 7, 9, 10

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

I’m not a fan of Royal Realm who figures to take some money. I like the rail runner (1) RUDY ROD 2nd time out off the Rice claim. She switches to stable rider and the 7F fits better for this Orb. With a couple of speeds going at it, he’ll ride the rail until Jose lets him loose.

$ 10.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 30.00

$ 3.00 Ex Box 1, 5, 6 Cost $ 18.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 4:

(1) Central Pride has some good workouts coming into this debut and I trust Dylan Davis to be aggressive throughout; which gives him an opportunity. (2) Hot Rod Rumble has the post position and experience to be forwardly placed and enough left in the tank to run a big late race. (5) Juggler is also a horse with experience and picking up Jose Ortiz in this one. We should expect this horse to have a nice ride from the gate and get into a stalking position on the rail. This should set the horse up well late for a big run. (6) Moped Dennis is a Jeremiah Englehart firster that has some nice workouts coming in. His winning cap is enough to warrant a play in here and I do not see a horse in here that looks too good to pass late.

$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1,5 w/ 1,2,5,6 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 2,6 w/ 1,2,5,6 Cost: $6.00

Race 5:

This is a difficult race to have a strong opinion on a horse. I will be including the entries (1/1A) with my focus being on (1A) Carly Hustle This horse shouldset up well late for a late run and I think will be a very dangerous horse. (3) Appreciate is moving to dirt in here and I think will be able to handle it well. I think this horse is ridden aggressively early and set up late for a nice stretch run. (5) Queentigua is a horse I really like in here to run a big race towards the front. I think this horse still has some run in here and will be forwardly placed throughout. (7) Cookie Cove is my last play from the outside closing strongly. I think this horse will be able to set up some where mid pack and wait for the lane to open up to try and run on with it.

$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1,5 w/ 1,3,5,7 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 3,7 w/ 1,3,5,7 Cost: $6.00

Race 6:

(1) South Sea is the top play in here from the inside post and we should see a horse on a mission on the lead. (6) Speeding Kid is also going to be aggressive from the gate and the field doesn't look strong enough for a late closer to pass. (9) Mi Tres Por Ciento is my last play from the Linda Rice barn. Jose Lezcano is going to be stalking the front runners and wait for the lane to open up late.

$3.00 Ex Box 1,6,9 Cost: $18.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(2) FIRST CONSTITUTION has kept good company since arriving in the US. He’s been competitive in all four starts and now goes 9F. I think that helps him and Lezcano will likely set up shop right behind the speed and wear them down late. The speed will likely be (5) CORE CONVICTION with Empty Tomb coming out. It’s Brown with Jose up and he’s an American Pharoah. A must use on your ticket. (1) WHY WHY PAUL WHY figures to get a nice stalking position from the one hole. They will look for a seam to make their late charge.

$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 2, 5 w/ 1, 2, 5, 7 Cost $ 18.00

Race 8:

The very young 3yr olds go at it in the Franklin Square.The Practical Joke was clearly on display for (6) LEELOO 2nd time out. She took control early on and dominated the rest of the way. A similar effort will be tough to beat. If (1) SANDY’S GARDEN can return to her debut race, She could be gone coming into the stretch. Jose will hold his position on the rail and let the track help get her home. (2) STERLING SILVER and (3) THINKING IT OVER had similar maidens wins by stalking and coming with a run. There will be speed signed on so if they back up, either one can get the money late.

$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 1, 6 w/ 1, 2, 3, 6 Cost $ 18.00

Race 9:

We’ll stick with the hot jocks in this basement MCL 1M. McCarthy lands on (10) FORESTWOOD LANE who has closed ok in both his starts. Guessing they’ll be a little closer today and come late. Davis was sprinting with (7) WAR NOVEL and today they will stretch out. I don’t think this Laoban will mind that. (9) BOHEMIAN RUBY was a decent 2nd last time and showed speed. Carmouche will use that advantage early and try to take them all the way. The wise guy pick will be (6) BELL BOY he gets Manny and gets L1. That’s two sneaky changes for a horse that has shown nothing. Any left over moisture will help with the Grindstone influence. Worth a shot with this bunch

$ 7.00 WPS 10 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 7, 10 w/ 6, 7, 9, 10 Cost $ 18.00
