The Interborough Stakes is the main attraction. Five Mares line up to go 7F around the Aqueduct oval as the track starts to dry out. I will be condensing my plays down to just the number and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9 ). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Race 3:

I’ll take the two for one deal as Rudy sends out an entry. (1A) M.C. DOUBLE R has the speed to stalk or go. (will sit chilly and come with his run later. They both get in light with the bugs up (1) HOT ROD LINCOLN and get L1 today.

(5) Mama’s Gold takes a suspicious drop and (9) Camm' Duke adds L1. They both may be damaged goods as the trainers may be hoping to unload with a claim.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

Of the favorites, (7) EXCELLENT TIMING looks the best. He can control the front end as there is not much speed signed on. He’s a must use for me but we will take a shot with two others running him down. (5) BIG ENGINE needs some pace up front but the 7F can come into play as most of this field has distance limitation. He gets in light and faces his fellow NY Breds again. I don't think (8) BREW PUB can win this but on his best day, he can be competitive. He'll need help up front to set up his late charge.

Race 8:

(5) BETSY BLUE was sharp winning the Garland/Roses last month and the other don’t come close to that speed figure. She’s been tough all winter and I’m expecting another big run. I won’t argue if you want to single as she is the likely winner of this bunch. I’ll include a savor though as this is horse racing. (1) SELF ISOLATION has speed or can stalk. She’ll save ground from the one hole and should get first jump on Betsy. With a lack of speed in here, Davis may use her early and try to use that speed to her advantage.

Race 9:

(1) SLIP MAHONEY is the colt to beat. They stretched this Arrogate out last time and he just missed graduating. A similar run today gets his picture taken. (7) CRUPI has been knocking on the door in all four starts. They add L1 today and will make the favorite earn it. (8) MERCANTE is the interesting one to me. L1 added as well as this Gun Runner woke up in a big way 2nd time out with the blinkers added. Steady works for this guy and worth the 6:1 ML that’s being offered. (10) LIGHT THE WAY is a firster from Justify. That’s enough for me.
