What a fantastic day to be a horse player. We have action in both NY and Kentucky and we are looking to maximize our plays. We will have our attention on the NY racing, but also give some thoughts on the big races down at Keeneland. We will be attacking the pick 6 sequence at Aqueduct with a pair of pick 3 plays. I will be covering races 6-8 and Big Pete will close the card with races 9-11. I again am trying to remain humble, but I am 6 for 6 on my plays this week and there definitely is no quit in me to remain "perfect". We appreciate you following along and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Course: Aqueduct
Race: 5
(3) MIND OF GOLD will go off the favorite and I can’t see anyone in here that can beat her. Cancel will likely set up shop just off the speeds and close in around the turn. The other contenders will attracted enough money to inflate the odds on the two closers that will add some value to sneak into the exacta.
(1) Saratoga Beauty and (6) Pendolino like to start there running late so with plenty of speed signed on, these two will try to work out a trip to grab the place.
$ 10.00 Exacta 3 w/ 1, 6 Cost $ 20.00
We’ll also use Mind Of Gold in R5 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.
(1) Mind Control and (4) Mischevious Alex look solid in the 6th
$ 7.00 Double 3 w/ 1, 4 Cost $ 14.00
Little Pete's Aqueduct Pick 3 Plays:
Race 6:
I am all in on (3) Shoplifted in this spot. I think that the two favorites, (4) Mischevious Alex & (5) Chateau, are dangerous in here but I think will both have their sights set on the early lead. I think that this opens up a lane down the stretch for a closer and I like Jose Ortiz to be that late surging horse. I will include the two favorites mentioned in case they run too big of a race to be caught.
$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00
$3.00 Ex 3 w/ 4,5 Cost: $6.00
$2.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 3,4,5 Cost: $8.00
Race 7:
I would be crazy to leave a horse off the ticket from the Chad Brown barn making her US debut, especially with Irad getting the mount. This horse is most likely going to run the winning race. I also like (4) Lady Sansa making her US debut in here and gets the crafty Junior Alvarado aboard. I think that this horse will have the patented Christophe Clement late run and compete for the wire first. (6) Windfall Profit is also going to stalk the lead throughout and will fan out wide come stretch drive and try and run these horses down. Last play will be (7) Apurate who I think will get an aggressive ride early in here under Carmouche and that head start could pay dividends late.
$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 4,5,6,7 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 6,7 w/ 4,5,6,7 Cost: $6.00
Race 8:
(7) Mr. Buff is just too good of a horse to not include, but I find myself always trying to beat him; sorry about that. (5) Modernist will be my top pick in here to run a big race late. I think that Alvarado will be able to find a rail position early and save ground throughout. I think there will be a pace battle in here which will allow (5) Modernist to shoot down the stretch against tiring horses. I will also give (4) Limonite another chance at (7) Mr. Buff with just coming up short last time out and getting the post position advantage this time out.
$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00
$3.00 Ex 5 w/ 4,7 Cost: $6.00
$2.00 Ex 4,7 w/ 4,5,7 Cost: $8.00

Race 9:
Brown has two in here and both look playable. (8) SEARCH RESULTS and Irad will be short odds. She tries two turns for the first time and breaks outside everyone. That’s a big ask so we’ll look to beat her. Stable mate (5) THE GRASS IS BLUE has a win at this 9F distance and may have needed her last to shake off the rust. I’m expecting a big run from her today. (4) ARMY WIFE is bred for turf but also bred to go long. She made the switch to dirt and now has two wins and a 2nd on it. Maker usually puts them where they belong. (2) MARACUJA will let the girls fight it out up front and make a run from the back. She can pass them all if the others can’t handle the 9F.
$7.00 WPS 5 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 2,4,5,8 Cost: $18.00
Race 10:
I’ll take the “other” Brown in here as (2) CROWDED TRADE ran a big Gotham last month. Bobbled start and wide trip caught up to him as he got a little tired close to home. Figures to save ground with the inside post draw. (4) RISK TAKING has two in a row but I’m not sold that he beat anyone in those races. The acid test for this guy and I wonder if Cancel had the choice between these two. I can’t ignore Pletcher, Repole and Jose on (5) DYNAMIC ONE. He galloped at today’s 9F distance after facing two decent 3yrs down in Florida. He can run all day and will target the speeds. (7) CANDY MAN ROCKET has speed and stamina to be a threat. Something went wrong in Tampalast time so we’ll draw a line through that race.
$7.00 WPS 5 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 2,5 w/ 2,4,5,7 Cost: $18.00
Race 11:
Most of these maidens are trying turf for the first time. Both fav’s will be difficult to beat as they’ve run ok on turf already. (7) VOLIERO drops in for a tag and has a nice run on this course last year. Has faced better but is coming off a layoff. (8) MICHAEL’S BAD BOY has two 2nd last fall that make him the one to beat. Irad returns which will drive the price way down. He needs to be included as someone will need to step up to beat him. I’ll take a shot with both of the War Dancers taking to the turf. (1A) YOU’VE GOT MALE and (1) WAR OF THRONES team up and both have speed. One or both will try to bottom them out before the closers get on track. Franco gets off Voliero to ride Male so he’s the one I’ll focus on.
