Saturday racing and we have some stacked cards to improve the bankroll on. I am coming in with a bit of confidence (BIG EGO) after the cashed PK3 play yesterday. With that said, we are going to remain consistent with our focus on taking down a pair of pick 3 plays at Aqueduct (Which covers the pick 6 sequence), but we also will have a stand alone pick 4 play at Gulfstream on Fountain of Youth day. At Aqueduct, I will be covering races 4-6 and Big Pete will close the card with races 7-9. I will also be the one taking down the pick 4 play at Gulfstream, which will be for races 11-14. We hope that you are playing along and we can all cash in some nice tickets today. GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Course: Aqueduct
Race 1:
I’ll try to beat the two or three short priced runners in the opener and give (2) IMPRSSTHEPROFESSER another shot at this level. Got off in a tangle and found her self very far back and a lot to do. She made up some ground around the turn, then, the bad start caught up to her. Pablo is having a career year on this circuit and his main job today will be getting her away cleanly. The moisture will make the difference today as she’s proven that she can run on it. Having Raffie’s Majesty in your bloodlines also confirms that. (4) Choose Happiness and (6) Gringotts have decent runs at this level to get up for the exacta.
$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Exacta 2 w/ 4, 6 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use Imprsstheprofessor in R1 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.
(3) My Delicious and (5) Alpine Queen looks solid in the 2nd
$ 7.00 Double 2 w/ 3, 5 Cost $ 14.00
Little Pete's Aqueduct Spot Pick 3:
Race 4:
(1) Not That Brady looks to be tough in here and I am expecting Manny to be aggressive in this one. I think this horse will break well from the 7th post position and be able to find a rail position early. This will allow Manny to set the fractions and that is how horses have been winning at the Big A recently. Plus, we get a nice closing horse in (1A) Cobble Hill in the play as well. (3) Tri Saint Lorenzo was initially off my ticket, but the workout leading in and how I anticipate this race being run forced my hand to include. I think that this horse will have a nice stretch drive to compete for the win in here. (9) Financial Stability is coming in with good form and I think will be able to navigate a nice ground saving trip after the break. This horse does look dangerous late. My last play will be (4) Beta who should go off at a nice price in here and I think has a chance. This horse is going to be aggressive from the gate and how the track has been playing this could put this horse right in the mix late. A nice workout leading in also boosts my confidence in this horse.
$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 1,4 w/ 1,3,4,9 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 3,9 w/ 1,3,4,9 Cost: $6.00
Race 5:
This maiden special weight looks to be more of a future claiming race. I do not like the morning line favorite, (2) One Whirlwind Ride, in here and will gladly try and beat. (1) Olympique has Manny aboard and from the Mott barn. I think Manny is heating up and can overcome the coldness of the Mott barn right now. This horse has been training consistently and those workouts are pretty good. We should expect an aggressive ride in here as this field does not seem to have a horse that can overcome some quicker fractions. (9) What's My Category to the outside will come down from the morning line 8/1 come post time as I think this horse will look to be the speed. This horse has some races that he put up some good beyer speeds and I am playing this horse with the expectations he will get an aggressive ride. Then I will take two other firsters that I like in (7) Got the Gold from the Rice barn and (8) Dr. Blute from the Kimmel barn. Both of these horses have consistently ran good workouts leading in and this race to me is screaming for a firster to win.
$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 1,9 w/ 1,7,8,9 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 7,8 w/ 1,7,8,9 Cost: $6.00
Race 6:
My top pick in here is (9) Judicial Restraint who I think will be able to overcome the post position with his late closing speed. This horse has been in the Rice barn for four months before hitting the track again and that to me is a winning combination. I expect this horse to come strong late and be a tough beat. I also like (3) Royal Suspect to run a similar style race in here, but benefit from the better post position. Cancel will allow this horse to break free from the gate and find a rail position early. Then fan this horse out wide come stretch drive and compete for the win in here. My last play will be (2) Varangian who is a price that I would like to try in here. This horse has found the right level to race at and the right distance. This horse should be aggressively ridden from the gate and I think may be able to sustain a big run in here to possibly wire the field.
$3.00 WPS 9 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 2,3,9 Cost: $12.00
Big Pete's Aqueduct Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
There’s only one in here that has raced and that is (2) OUR MANMIKE. We’ll use as he gets L1 and has two 2nd’s vs decent fields. I don’t like the layoff but the bullet 2/13 is encouraging. Brown usually returns to the NYRA scene raring to go this time of the year. (4) DR ARDITO is well bred to be a runner. He out worked three others in here on the 21st. There must be some chatter about him as he ends up the 2:1 fav. I’ll use but I’m interested in the first timer (7) VIKING ZIM. He’s out of a Carson City Mare that has produced winners. They also seem to handle the off. Englehart has been doing well this meet as is Vargas. Wasn’t that far behind the Dr in that 2/21 work.
$7.00 WPS 7 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 4,7 w/ 2,4,6,7 Cost: $18.00
Race 8:
(12) VICAR’S LEGEND returned to this level but was asked to do too much coming from far back. Handal makes the switch back to Davis and they won’t mind any moisture. (5) O SHEA CAN U SEE was coming off a 5 Month vacation when he quietly came running at the end. He probably needed that to shake off some of that rust. It’s a good sign that Cancel returns for the re-ride. I landed on (6) SKYLER’S SCRAMJET. He has speed to stay close early and get the first jump on the closers. Two strong works and a decent run last time against slightly better should have him primed for a good effort. I’ve been riding (10) TALE OF MIST all winter as this vet keeps grabbing checks. He too needs the speeds to back up and should get his wish.
$7.00 WPS 6 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 6,12 w/ 5,6,10,12 Cost: $18.00
Race 9:
Another MSW in the sequence and I’ll focus on a few first timers. (11) ELECTRIC YOUTH outworked the Dr in the 7th, so keep an eye on how he does there. Kimmel is having a meet and she’s bred to be fast. (4) BLAME IT ON MARYhas some experience so we can’t ignore that. That makes a difference with these 3yr fillies. She’s showed speed in all her starts so expect the same here. Kimmel has another one, (7) DOROTHY’S THE BOSS, and she’s has the Uncle Mo influence. Laoban is producing good ones the last two years. She can grab a piece if no one is paying attention. Pletcher has (1) LAURA’S BELLAMY along wit Franco. Her mom was quick and Manny knows how to use it. She’s hasn’t shown it in the mornings but it’s probably there.
$7.00 WPS 11 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 1,11 w/ 1,4,7,11 Cost: $18.00
Little Pete's Gulfstream Late Pick 4:
Race 11:
(2) Got Stormy looks great on paper and most likely will be too good for this field, especially at the mile distance; I will include. With that said, I really like Irad aboard (6) Zofelle in here. This horseis coming in off an impressive win from off the pace at this distance. If there are other contenders in here who challenge (2) Got Stormy early, which I think there will be, then I expect Irad to work out a great trip for this horse and that could be the winning situation.
$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00
$3.00 Ex Box 2,6 Cost: $6.00
Race 12:
I think Irad will get the riding double in this one aboard the impressive (3) Vequist on her three year old debut. This horse is training lights out and should only be more impressive this time out. I will only be including (4) Curlin's Catch in case (3) Vequist is not on her A game from the layoff, but this is only a hedge play as I expect a big run from (3) Vequist.
$5.00 WP 3 Cost: $10.00
$3.00 Ex Box 3,4 Cost: $6.00
Race 13:
I feel pretty good about our chances getting to this leg of the PK4 with those impressive horses in the first two legs. This is why I am going deep in here in this crap shoot of a race in the Gr.3 The Very One. My top pick in this race will be (3) Antoinette, but I think this horse is beatable late and I expect a lot of horses to be hitting their stride come stretch drive. I will be excluding (1) Lovely Luvy who I think is a bit overmatched in this one with this impressive field and also excluding (10) Sister Hanan as I think the post position hurts this horse and the speed will be too much to overcome.
$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00
Race 14:
I love horses that travel well and (4) Fire at Will has done just that on every track he has visited. I think that he has a nice post position for Kendrick to find a rail position early in this one and this horse will be a difficult catch, even for (8) Greatest Honour. With that said, I do like Jose to be aggressive in here as well with that stated (8) Greatest Honour. This horse is tough to bet against and a must play on our ticket. I also like the revenge angle of (2) Prime Factor who gets the better post position than (8) Greatest Honour and the spotlight off of him. This horse has put up some impressive workouts leading into this one and this is just his third career race. We should see Irad closing strongly aboard this horse. My last play will be (1) Drain the Clock who has some impressive races on this course and should be a dangerous horse come stretch drive.
