A wet Friday of racing at the Big A. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double. (Races 1 & 2) and a middle double (Races 4-5) with only 7 races carded for today. Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 5-7). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's $ 5.00 Early Double:
R1: 2
R2: 2, 5 Cost: $ 10.00
Little Pete's $ 5.00 Mid Double:
R4: 1, 2
R5: 6 Cost: $ 10.00
Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:
R5: 2, 5, 6
R6: 2, 5, 6, 7
R7: 2, 3, 6, 8 Cost: $ 48.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(1) MAJESTIC RETURN will be very short with Proud Foot coming out. He's been facing better than these and can either grab the lead or stalk. Either way, she looks tough.
I’ll use (5) Problematica to hang on underneath for the exacta.
$ 7.00 Exacta 1 w/ 5 Cost $ 7.00
We’ll also use (1) Majestic Return in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.
(1) Helen's Revenge and (2) Sheer Will in the 4th.
$ 7.00 Daily Double 1 w/ 1, 2 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 5:
(6) WAVELESS will take some money as both contenders scratch out. Manny will take over turning for home and spurt away from the front runners. The only threat I see is if they battle early and soften the favorite up, (3) SAILAWAY can handle the muddy and has a closing kick to be a factor late with some help up front.
$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 3, 6 w/ 3, 4, 5 Cost $ 12.00
Race 6:
(2) BARON OF SARLAND and (6) SHADOW DRAGON will be the favorites to win it and are must use for me. I like the two coming from off the pace to be a factor late here. (5) REFUAH prefers 2nd or 3rd but showes up every now and then. I'll lean a little more on (7) ALAN TURING to make it interesting close to home. He needs to speed to back up but this turfer may enjoy to muddy track to help elevate his game.
$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 5, 7 w/ 2, 5, 6, 7 Cost $ 18.00
Race 7:
(6) SHERIFF BIANCO takes a big drop here and I can only use him defensively. (2) FIRST TRUMPET will likely try to wire this field. If they leave him alone, why not? (8) HIGH TIDE is the one to beat IMO. Prat will need to save ground somewhere, If he does, he's probably the one. I want to take a shot with (3) INDY RAGS. He moves to a hot barn and gets a hot rider. I doudt we get the 8:1ML but half would be a gift.
