We have eight scheduled for this Friday the 13th at the Big A. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double. (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 3-5). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 6-8). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

R2: 6 Cost: $ 20.00

Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R4: 1, 2, 3

R5: 5, 6 Cost: $ 18.00

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

R6: 5, 6

R7: 4, 5, 6

R8: 1, 3, 5, 6 Cost: $ 24.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

(5) MALDINI has maintained the same speed figures in all of his races. They are better then the rest of the field and they only hit high ones every once in a while. He's fresh off the Dutrow claim and now gets Prat. He stands out to me and I'll take the 2:1ML as that seems like an underlay to me. The race comes up chalky but the object is hitting tickets.

I’ll use (2) Sequential and (3) Come Full Circle underneath for the exacta.

$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00

$ 7.00 Ex 5 w/ 2, 3 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use (5) Maldini in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

(2) Intentious and (3) Always Pratical in the 4th.

$ 7.00 Daily Double 5 w/ 2, 3 Cost $ 14.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 6:

(6) JACKSON'S DIXIE dropped to this level three back and dominated. They will try the same today. Her last was a little scary though as she didn't do any running in the mud against better. We'll use defensively and try to beat her with (5) UNICORN CAKE. She has decent speed figures in her pp's but she did them at FL. She came to the big leagues back in January and it didn't work out that well but, that was against much better. They now put her where she belongs AND they go with Manny. Those two changes makes this Mare a competitor. We'll try to start this late Pick 3 with just these two.

$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex Box 3, 5, 6 Cost $ 18.00

Race 7:

(5) DISARMED just missed at this level a year ago and then went on the shelf. Rudy brought him back in December and then last Month. He was his own worst enemy lunging at the break and costing himself each time. Prior to those two races, he usually got away cleanly. There's not a lot of speed signed on so if Rudy fixed that, he's dangerous. (6) MR SKYLIGHT is the one to beat as Sharp drops him to the right level. His bullet last week has him ready for a big effort today. I think the race runs through the above two but I want to take a shot with the Lookin At Lucky gelding (4) RUSSI. Bond shipped him to western NY for a public workout. It was a decent time for out there in his first attempt on dirt in a while off a layoff. Now they bring him back to face runners that haven't won many over the last year or so ( 3 for 39 ). In a race where you can't trust anyone, I'll lean on a price in here.

$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex Box 4, 5, 6 Cost $ 18.00

Race 8:

This one looks wide open. (1) GRAYING and (5) NABOKOV have speed which is always dangerous at this level. Not a lot of punch at the end for these cheap claimers so sometimes getting to the far turn first gives you an advantage. Either one can go and try to wire them. If (3) PRINCIP runs his race two back, he figures to be tough through the stretch. If the above two hook up, that only helps his game. The same can be said for (6) ENDURING SPIRIT. He fell on his face last time but still managed to pick up a check and the track wasn't that kind to closers in February. Now he drops slightly and figures to be closer to the pace than last time.

$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 3, 6 w/ 1, 3, 5, 6 Cost $ 18.00
