Friday at Aqueduct and we have the entire card covered. I will be condensing my plays to just including the horses each race that I will be including. I will be playing the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's $ 5.00 Early Double:
R1: 1, 4
R2: 16 Cost: $ 10.00
Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:
R4: 1, 5
R5: 4, 5, 6, 12
R6: 13, 14, 15, 16 Cost: $ 32.00
Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:
R7: 1, 3, 6
R8: 4, 14, 15, 16
R9: 1, 2 ,7, 10 Cost: $ 48.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(4) GLORY DIA looks Dialed In after her impressive win last time at Parx. Out of a Sun King mare, the off track shouldn’t make a difference as well. There is plenty of speed signed on for her to stalk and come late.
I’ll look for both (1) Vegas Weekend to hold on for 2nd or (2) Dealing Justice to follow Glory Dia’s move and pass the others for the place.
$ 10.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 30.00
$ 7.00 Ex 4 w/ 1, 2 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
(6) PRETTY CLEVER tried to go longer last time and that didn’t work out. She cuts back to a preferred 6F where she has done well this year at that distance hitting the board all three times. She has speed and Carmouche will take advantage of that. (3) SHE’S DANCING will be doing just that if she can Re-Pete her debut race back in August. She was spinning her wheels when she faced similar here in Sept and was gaining a little bit on Pretty Clever. I think the race runs through one of these gals. Both (1) BLAME IT ON MARY has enough speed to be a problem for them in here. If Franco can get away clean and slow them down, the track may help carry her the rest of the way.
$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 3, 6 w/ 1, 3, 6 Cost $ 12.00
Race 8:
I will lean on the MTO’s as none of the turf meant fillies and mares look comfortable in the slop. (14) PERFECT GRACE has yet to run to her breeding but stretching out is probably what she wants to do. She got into trouble last time so today should be her day. It most likely wasn’t the slop last time, guessing it was the competition for (16) VIENNA CODE. She doesn’t need to improve much against this group and I like the switch back to Cancel. She’ll need someone to pressure Grace and I think she gets it. (15) HALO CITY may want to go shorter but the 1M is probably her limit. She was only 4 lengths behind Grace so she may be running for 2nd.
$ 7.00 WPS 16 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 14, 16 w/ 4, 14, 15, 16 Cost $ 18.00
Race 9:
(2) MACHO BOY has the speed to be a factor in here. Franco has won on him before using his speed and that should be the plan today. (1) THE RIGHT PATH takes a serious drop so there’s always a concern when that happens. Saez is called upon to do some of his magic as this guy hasn’t had his picture taken in two years. I want to take a shot with (7) MANDATORY PAYOUT. His best race was his last but that came back in January. He’s been on the shelf since but the works look sharp for his return. He hits the board 50% of the time and although he hasn’t proved it, he’s breed to like the off going. I’ll lean heavy on this one to close out an otherwise chalky late Pk3. (10) FAST BREAK needs just that as he’ll have to deal with the Macho Boy. Irad can stalk if he wants but this guy has trouble passing horses through the lane..
