Thursday racing at Aqueduct and we have an 8 race card that we will be covering each of those races. We hope everyone had a nice Easter and has a little more $$ to invest on the ponies. We will be breaking down our plays into a pair of pick 3 plays that covers the pick 6 sequence. I will be covering races 3-5 and Big Pete will be covering races 6-8. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on one of the other two races on the card to ensure we have you covered. We appreciate you taking the time to read this and look forward to cashing some tickets! GOOD LUCK.

Race 2:
I am not going to overthink this one and go with the two horses I think will just be too good for the field. (8) Maria's Gift will be aggressive from the gate and could be left alone on the front. If Pablo can save ground throughout then it will be difficult for horses at this level to catch her late. (9) Flower's Fortune looks to be much the best on paper and I think will be able to stalk the horse to her inside and run on with this late. Cancel will be able to eat up ground quickly with this horse and expect it to be a two horse race.
$10.00 Ex Box 8,9 Cost: $20.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 1:
There are two in here that will attract most of the money, Obsessed and Jerusalem Gates. Gates doesn’t like to win and Obsessed drops from the clouds after a dismal performance. It feels as though we need to take a shot with (6) DANGEROUS EDGE. He too has trouble finding the wire first but he seems to be heading in the right direction after he was claimed three back. The runners who finished in front of him have returned to win again.
With the two favorites in desperate roles today, I feel Dangerous has the Edge.
$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Exacta 6 w/ 4, 5 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use Dangerous Edge in R1 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.
(2) Mia Calia and (9) Flower’s Fortune look solid in the 2nd
$ 7.00 Double 6 w/ 4, 5 Cost $ 14.00

Race 3:
(6) O'Trouble is going to get a play from me in here, but appears to be IN TROUBLE against this field. I am going to try and beat this favorite with (3) Morning Breez who I think will be able to find a nice rail position early and be the strongest horse come stretch drive. I like the weight relief and think that Cardenas closes well. (5) Binkster will be my last play as I think this horse will get an aggressive ride from the gate and if this horse gets back to form from two races ago, then this horse is a major player in here.
$5.00 WPS 3 Cost: $15.00
$2.00 Ex Box 3,5,6 Cost: $12.00
Race 4:
(3) Candy Jar is my top pick in here from the Mott barn. I think this horse will be able to show off some of that early speed in here and make her a tough catch late. The two Chad Brown horses, (4) Dovima and (5) Political Gridlock, look to be players as well in here and will get included as well. (4) Dovima ran her best races on grass and should benefit greatly by getting back to it. I do think the Mott horse will be able to sustain a better run in here, but if Chad improved this horse like he always does then this horse is poised for a big run. (5) Political Gridlock has Castellano aboard and I think will be closing strongly down the stretch. If this turns into a pace battle up front then we can expect this horse to be charging strongly late. Last play will be a bit of a price with (1) Tipsy Chatter. Carmouche has the rail and a horse trying grass for the first time. This screams to me that this horse will be sent to the front early and have that rail position throughout. I think that will pay off dividends late and this horse could be ready to pull off an upset.
$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 3,4 w/ 1,3,4,5 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 1,5 w/ 1,3,4,5 Cost: $6.00
Race 5:
(2) Beach Front and (3) Road To Meath look to be the deserving favorites in here and a must play for me to close the PK3 ticket. I think that Manny will be seeking the lead aboard (3) Road To Meath and will have (2) Beach Front right behind him throughout. I do also like (4) No Lime to get back to good running form in here and run a big race against this competition. I think that this horse will be able to navigate a ground saving run in here with the favorites battling each other early. My last inclusion will be (8) Cobble Hill who has a difficult post position in here but I think will be able to have a nice trip in here on a fast surface.
$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 3,4 w/ 2,3,4,8 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 2,8 w/ 2,3,4,8 Cost: $6.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 6:
Rice has a pair in here but likely favorite (4) BIG ENGINE will take most of the action. Jose takes the mount and they figure to sit just off the speeds and make there run close to home. (6) RUNNINGWSCISSORS does his best running at this 6F. The slightly cut back here may be enough to hold off the Big Engine late as he’ll get first jump for the wire. I have to take a shot with (7) JEMOGRAPHY. He has been ringing the bell each time he jumps up in class. He’ll try it again in this NW2X and reunites with Jr. Should get enough speed to set up his closing kick.
$7.00 WPS 7 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 6,7 w/ 4,5,6,7 Cost: $18.00
Race 7:
We’ll need to include (9) LOVE AND THUNDER as Brown usually wins with these Euro’s trying US runners for the first time. With Jose getting the call, it makes it a no brainer. (1) FETCHING almost got to the fast Robin Sparkles when last seen in November. If she can Re-Pete that effort off the layoff, she’ll be right there. I normally won’t use a maiden winner next out against winners but (6) TOO SEXY is that. She cut back to sprinting in her last two and it’s what she wants to do. Clement has her ready for a big effort today as Manny accepts the call. Most of her races match up well against this group and if Love and Thunder stubs her toe, Sexy will answer the call (3) RIVENDELL beat Sexy last Summer and has been training well for her return. Mott is off to a good start and Castellano gets the call. She may get lost in the betting so we should get a decent price on her.
$7.00 WPS 6 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 6,9 w/ 1,3,6,9 Cost: $18.00
Race 8:
I like the synthetic run that (9) KUBIE SNACKS did two back. That suggests she might take to the turf. It’s Castellano again and the slight drop in class might make it a little easier today. The rest of the single digit ML players are tough to like so I’ll use some bigger priced fillies to juice up this late Pk3. (1) LADY THORNHILL is turf meant so draw a line threw her sloppy debut. (13) DAILY BRIEFING draws in from the AE and Jose sticks around. She was entered for grass in her debut and ok 4th on an off track. She has speed which is always a plus. (2) MY GIRL BLUE ships in and is turf top and bottom. She may have found the right field.
