Thursday was a 6 for 6 day (7-8 if you count my "Play of the Day" hit) and we are looking to stay hot. We will be attacking a pair of pick 3 plays again today. With myself focusing in on races 3-5 and Big Pete closing the card with races 6-8. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on race 1 and 2 to ensure we have the whole card covered. We hope that you are playing along and we can continue to cash some tickets. GOOD LUCK.

If you want to save your bankroll for tomorrow’s action

Above PK3 for $ 1.00 Cost $ 8.00

Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 1:

The entry will draw a lot of attention as will the firster from Chad Brown. (1) Our Man Mike shipped in last month and came late at the end. The Street Boss’s usually handle the slop so that may have gave him an edge there. I’ll look for a better price and lean on (6) Brew Pub. He’s shown steady improvement this year against some decent NY Breds in his last three outings. He gets the aggressive Carmouche today so look for this guy to go forward early and try to control them all the way.

$ 5.00 WPS 6 Cost: $15.00

$ 3.00 Ex 1, 6 w/ 1, 5, 6 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 2:

(6) GRIT AND GLORY has back to back solid runs and now Rice drops him in for a tag. He’ll be short odds but meets several in here that have forgotten how to win. The one turn mile gives Cancel options to go or stalk with that long run down the backstretch. Irad will be overbet on the Pletcher runner so the price may go up a little bit. We’ll go completely against the favorite and look for some prices to come underneath.

(2) Runabout and (5) King Of American have decent runs for a shot at the exacta.

$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00

$ 7.00 Exacta 6 w/ 2, 5 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use Grit And Glory in R2 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

(2) Releasethethunder and (6) Vicar’s Legend look solid in the 3rd

$ 7.00 Double 6 w/ 2, 6 Cost $ 14.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 3:

I really like (4) Winning Drive in here to get back into form this time out. I think that Kendrick will be aggressive early to find a rail position and wait for the right time to send this horse to try and win it. (2) ReleaseTheThunder is another play from me as I think this horse will be able to make up ground quickly with this rail position. When this horse is allowed a rail position and isn't being sent 3-4 wide then the horse has shown the ability to close. (7) Freudian Sip has been training extremely well leading in and I think will be able to find a nice path down the stretch to run down the leaders. My last play will be (6) Vicar's Legend who is getting back to the level he is most suited for and I like this horse running strongly late on this off track.

$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 4,7 w/ 2,4,6,7 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 2,6 w/ 2,4,6,7 Cost: $6.00

Race 4:

I am going to take the bait and go with Chad Brown and Irad in here with (3) Brazillionaire. I know Chad doesn't have his best stats in claiming races, but this horse just looks to be too much for this field. I am anticipating Irad to allow this horse to find a nice lane to run in early and then fan out wide to have a convincing win in here.

$10.00 WPS 3 Cost: $30.00

Race 5:

With the single in the previous leg I am going to close the ticket with the ALL button. I think too many horses in here need the lead and it will breakdown late. If I had to pick my favorite in here I would lean on (2) Chub Wagon who should be able to handle the NY track and run a big one with Irad navigating.

$5.00 WPS 2 Cost: $15.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 6:

The late Pk3 today looks very chalky to me today. We’ll offer a small sequence and you can determine the bankroll amount. With our first day of turf racing this year, it’s no surprise we start the conversation with Brown’s runners. (1) LA HARA is more experienced and is working well but Irad chooses the lightly raced (1A) KURAMATA. Won first time in the USA last month and we’re expecting an improvement. Either one can do it. The only other I’ll use is Shugs (5) DREAMS OF TOMORROW. Turf seems to be what he wants and gets regular rider up.

$ 5.00 Ex 1, 5 w/ 1, 5, 9 Cost $ 20.00

Race 7:

Short field and two will take most of the money. (2) LADY KATE exits three G1 and finally gets a little relief. The 7F seems perfect for this gal on the cut back. She’ll need to first deal with the outside runner and then hold off the closer (1) HONOR WAY. This 7yr old Mare seems to be in top form and figures to get speed up front. Jose is 3 out of 4 when up, so look for them coming home strong late.

$ 5.00 Ex 1, 2 w/ 1, 2, 3 Cost $ 20.00

Race 8:

I’ll close it out with only two in here. (5) BLACK IRISH drops in for a tag again. He’s been competitive when he does that. His best two races have come when Jose has been up. They meet again today. I’m expecting a big run today. The only other one I’m interested in is (1) THEITALIANAMERICAN. He’s been dull all last year, then claimed in January. Was bet hard next out but just didn’t show up at all. His last race is encouraging. Stepped up and closed against slightly better and now drops to where he belongs. The favorite is hard to like so we’ll just use the above two to close it out.

$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 1, 5 w/ 1, 2, 5, 7 Cost $ 18.00
