We are looking to close out the weekend with a pair of pick 3 plays that we can cash. We have a nice 9 race card today at Aqueduct and are ready to dive right in. I will be focusing in on races 4-6 and Big Pete will close the card on races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race that we would like to try and improve our bankroll on. Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

I think that (8) Easy to Bless is going to be a tough contender in here and a play for me to win the race, but I do really like (3) Rosey's Peach in here. I think that this horse is in pretty good form coming in and if there are some competitors battling early to find the lead then I think it sets up extremely well for this horse to come blazing past them late. Plus, this horse is 15/1 on the program and it is about finding value where you can.

Race 2:

Rudy has found a home on the turf for (3) DOLL. A few runners in here want the lead and Rudy has also entered a rabbit, VIP Nation, to assure a fast pace. Irad will set up camp mid pack and let the front runners do their thing. We probably won’t get the 9:2 ML but even half that fells like a gift the way the race sets up. We’ll use her on top with (5) Silky Blue and (7) Screamin’ By underneath

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 4:

I was going to try and beat the morning line favorite, (6) Wicked Amber, in here anyway so the scratch out just means we won't get the better odds on the other horses. Both (1) Positive Skew and (3) Jen's Battle are horses that I like the post positions for and their type of running. I think that this race will be blown up by the time it comes to the stretch drive and I like these two horses to make up ground throughout and be the strongest horses late. I also like (7) Our Little Jewel to show some early speed to be placed in this race throughout and this horse has been training pretty well and could sustain a big run in here.

Race 5:

I really like (1A) Discretionary Marq to get the job done in this sprint and was my preferred horse in the entry. (3) Sanctuary City will be closing strongly in this one and will be able to find the rail with the nice post position. (7) Qian B C is a price horse that I like getting back to grass and workouts lead me to believe that this horse is ready to run a big one. Last play will be Irad aboard (8) Big Package because the horse has the ability, but you just can't leave Irad off any of your tickets if you like winning them.

Race 6:

(5) Altaf is the logical winner in here and I think will get the job done. If it is not her day, then I like (6) Eloquent Speaker to run a winning race in here as this filly continues to perform every time she steps on the track. My last play will be (7) Risk Model who will get an aggressive ride from Kendrick in here and I trust him with a horse on the lead. He will be able to navigate a nice trip and if left alone on the lead then that head start could do it.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

There’s only two in here that I’ll use as we have a heavy favorite to get it done. (1) LAOBANONAPRAYER has been facing better and posting higher numbers than her rivals. The only negative is that her two sprints are not her best performances. She’s classy enough to overcome that but she’ll need her A game to beat these sprinters. I’ll include (5) SHAKER SHACK. She’s been improving each time out with her best outing has come on a dry track. She should get that today and picks up Jose. If they can shake loose coming into the stretch, they will be tough to run down.

Race 8:

Nothing clever in here as Brown can win with either one. (1) FLUFFY SOCKS has been consistent and just keeps rolling on. She drifted in her last two but still managed to win one of them. If she’s got her head on straight, she’s the one that looks dangerous going around these tight turns. Her stable mate (2) INGRASSIA just caught Fluffy in the Chelsey Flower back in November. It looks like these two will hook up close to home and start trash talking for bragging rights in the barn. The only other interesting filly is the Ireland bred (8) BUBBLES ON ICE. This will be her US debut. She’s out of a Galileo mare so if she didn’t fall to far from the tree, she can make some noise threw the lane as well.

Race 9:

Abreu has been trying to get (10) BAY JEWEL back on the turf and today he gets his wish. She has shown speed and there appears to be none in here. Look for Jose to go and steal it. (3) SUMMER AT THE SPA looks like damaged goods off her last. She has a for sale sign posted so I’m a little leery of her. (7) YOU’RE DOING FINE ships in for Sharp and picks up Irad. Most time that’s enough. The two outside fillies are interesting. (11) AVA K’S GIRL closed well in her last to just miss. That was November but Martin is doing ok this meet. (12) MAGICAL ROMANCE exits that same race as Ava and ran ok. She can make that similar run and sneak into the exacta at a price.
