We have a nice 8 race card today at the Big A and we will have each of the races covered. We will be attacking our normal pick 3 plays that covers the pick 6 sequence. I will be keyed into races 3-5 and Big Pete will close the card with races 6-8. We will cover the other two races with our "Play of the Day" on how we would like to play the race to maximize return. Race 1:

I will take the entries in here and parlay into Big Pete's play. I like Kendrick to get the first in here aboard (1A) The Last Zip with a wire to wire effort.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 2:

Ward and Jose will attract a lot of attention w/ Sheriff Bianco as well as King Angelo after a troubled trip. I’ll go a different direction and use the City Zip colt (6) MR. BUCKLEY. He’ll try turf for this first time and is bred to like it. He has shown speed in all of his starts and will likely try to go right front the gate. With the larger fields, he’ll avoid traffic that way and hope that the two favorites can’t work out their trips.

We’ll also use Dr. Buckley in R2 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 3:

I really like (7) La Kara Mia to run a big effort in this one. I think this distance more suits this horse and the late charge we should get on this track will be the difference for this one. I will include both (3) Brattle House and (5) Pleasure Luck as I think they will be the speed in here. If they are left alone up front then it could be these two horses throughout. Last play will be a late running (6) Fair Lassie who I think will be set up well come stretch drive and most likely will be the strongest runner late.

Race 4:

Could only land on the three favorites in here and feel good about getting through this leg. My top pick will be (5) Mirabell Mei who I think will be really strong late in here to get this one. (1) Summer in the City and (6) Betsy Blue are also two strong plays in here to run a huge race. Sorry for the lack of insight. Just see this one as a play and move on.

Race 5:

We will close with three horses. (8) Beyond Brown should run a much better race than her 10/1 morning line odds and think a must play in here. I also like (7) Love Me Tomorrow is going to be forwardly placed in here and against this field that is the winning position. Last play will be the inside, (1) Choose Happiness, who gets the favorable post position and gets Irad again. This horse is going to be dangerous in here.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 6:

(7) SECRET LOVE may have bled last time as she gets L1 today. She gets a little class relief as well and Irad. A quick breeze last week indicates that she should be delivering her A game today. (10) SINGULAR SENSATION usually fires every time out so the switch to Jose should make this gal a tough out. She can go or stalk so the break will tell the tale. (1) FOREVER CHANGED was a no show in the muddy last time so I’ll draw a line through that one. She gets an upgrade with Jr getting up. The switch back to NY Breds will help here so look for Jr to be aggressive from the rail.

Race 7:

We’re on the sloppy track now and I the Super Saver mare (1) STAND FOR THE FLAG. stands out. They usually excel over the off going and there's not much left in here to challenge her. (6) MAIDEN BEAUTY has won back to back and may be the lone speed. That's always good on these types of tracks as most runners don't enjoy gets mud thrown in their face. (10) VELVET CRUSH is interesting as I liked this one on the turf more than I do in the slop but it is Brown and Jose and we might get decent odds??

Race 8:

First timer (8) SHAMALAMADINGDONG is an Upstart who won't mind the off. Jose will likely send and hope he takes to the track. (9) SPUN FOR LU LU has Street Cry on her side and that's a good thing under these conditions. Frosted is represented with (1) WRITE THIS DOWN. He too shouldn't mind the moisture and Trever likes to ride the way Frosted liked to run. Stalk and punce late. I'll try a price in here with (13) FASTELLE. The debut was a disaster as she got away slow and then didn't lift her feet that much after that. L1 is interesting and the aggressive Carmouche shows up. Flat Outs run well on this surface too so we'll give this gal the nod.
