The Ortiz brothers are back to racing in NY and we have ourselves a nice little Thursday card to take down today. We will be looking to remain consistent and attack a pair of pick 3 plays that covers the pick 6 sequence. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on both of the other races on the card to ensure we have you covered. We hope that you are playing along and hope we can all make it a profitable day! Little Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 2:
I think there are horses in here that will get some money thrown at them and give us a pretty decent price on (4) Respect For All. I think this horse will be able to handle the off track today and find a nice stalking position early to have an impressive stretch drive. I am anticipating an early pace battle in here which will open up the lane for a late closer and I like this horse to do just that.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 1:
We’ll give the firster (5) DOM’S FIESTY GIRL the nod in this NYS MSW event. The workouts are spread out nicely and there are many bullets fired in the AM. The boys are back in town and Irad will likely show them that he’s back. Mom and Dad both liked the off tracks so it’s all systems go for me.

We’ll also use Dom’s Fiesty Girl in R1 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 3:
I am going to go three deep in here in the first leg of our pick 3 play. I like (1) Not Phar Now to be sent to the lead in this sprint and look to wire the field. This horse is coming in after winning two in a row and an off track makes this horse a little more dangerous loose on the lead. (2) Mr Phil is going to be riding the rail throughout and I think will be able to fan out wide come stretch drive and have a say late. Last play will be (6) The Right Path who I think will be stalking the lead and benefit from the class relief. I think Manny will be able to find a nice trip in here to run down the front runners late.

Race 4:
It is going to be tough to go against the heavy morning line favorite, (2) Barista Vixen, so I will be including but I will not be singling. I like (1) Choose Happiness to run an improved effort in here as I think this horse is finding her footing out on the track. Irad getting the mount is also a big jump up and could elevate this horse to the winner's circle. (6) Amity Island is going to be surging late down the stretch, especially on this off track and I expect this horse to get some money thrown at her in this one.

Race 5:
(7) Social Group looks good in here and the short layoff does not intimidate me against this weak field. I think Jose will be able to navigate a nice trip in here and this horse is the likely winner. (3) WhichWayToMalibu is a major player in here as well as we can anticipate this horse to be very strong come stretch drive. Pablo Morales has been riding extremely well lately and I think will be able to navigate a nice trip in here. Last play will be (2) Unbridled John who I think will be sent to the lead and that is a nice place to be on an off track. I think this horse has an opportunity to sustain a big run if the field allows him to dictate the fractions.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 6:
The switch went on for (3) FIRST LINE in his last two. Was it Noda, Castro or 9F? He gets all three again today and with a little Street Cry influence, the moisture won’t hurt. (6) ADVANCE NOTICE has some early speed that will pose a problem for this field as there’s not a lot signed on. Distance shouldn’t be a problem. The Uncle Mo colt (8) GIMME SOME MO has been turfing so now Pletcher moves him back to the dirt. He most likely ca handle both so we’re expecting him to show up here as well. (1A) DUST DEVIL loses the aluminum pad so his huff must feel better. Cancel will need to work out a trip as the first turn comes quick.

Race 7:
I’ll try to beat Invaluable as the fillies she beat have not run well in their return races. (1) GONE GLIMMERING has run her best races on wet tracks going 3 for 3. With the inside draw, Cancel will likely go and try to beat the fav to the front. She faces a stiff task but were getting a decent price on an improving mare. (3) SHARP STARR has races that match up well to this group. Her Go For Wand score on this track and distance jumps off the page. She’ll get first jump on the two outside speeds. (2) WATER WHITE is the wild card. She faced some good ones last year and now comes off the layoff. Two bullet works in March and Irad shows up. I’ll give them the nod to arrive late on the scene.

Race 8:
I’m only interested in three in the finale. (2) A VOW OF BEAUTY dropped to this level last time and got the place. He should be no worse than that again today as they’ll have to come and get him. I like (6) RETICENT a little more than Beauty as this Wicked strong closed to get third in that same race. The moisture will move this guy up a little and help turn the table on the fav. I’m all in with (1) HUMPDAY. He too woke up on the drop but this Exaggerator should relish the off today. Franco subs in and will likely save some ground until they tip out for the run home.
