Friday racing at the Big A and we are looking to take down each of the 8 races today. We will be playing a pair of pick 3 plays with myself focusing in on races 3-5 and Big Pete locked into races 6-8. We will cover the other two races in our "Play of the Day" to make it a profitable day. Let us know your thoughts on the picks and hope you are getting as excited as we are with the nicer weather. Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 1:
There’s a good chance (4) BELLA DOMENICA and Rudy will get over looked here. The last three starts saw her give it up through the stretch. But that was going longer and against much better fillies than she meets today. Her best races come at this 6F distance and found a soft field. Vargas will likely go and try to hang on. Most of these are moving in the wrong direction through the stretch so if she can get to the front by the time they turn for home, it might just be good enough.
(5) Queentigua and (9) Calidad have decent runs at this level to get up for the exacta.

We’ll also use Bella Dominica in R1 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 3:
I am going to play this one to have (3) Gio D'Oro to be the early pace in here and open up the race late to some late closers. I really like (2) Sicilia Mike to benefit the most from this and am making him my top selection in here. I anticipate Dylan Davis to find forwardly placed position at the rail and have a move from the inside to prevail. I also like the post position on (1A) Manifest Destiny who has Kendrick aboard in this one. We can expect Kendrick to get this horse in the right position around the turn to save ground and that could pay off late with a strong running horse. (5) Runaway Lute will also be sent from the gate quickly to find a position right behind the leader and could get a bit of a head start on the other two horses mentioned come stretch drive; that could be the difference. Last play will be (6) Kosciuszko who I think will be a bit behind the pace and if the fractions are fast then this horse will come sweeping in late to compete for this one.

Race 4:
I like the favorite in here, (3) Maria's Gift, to find the lead early in here and set the fractions. If left alone on the lead then this horse could run away with it late. (2) Tremayne is a horse I like to have a nice rail position early and save ground around the turn. That could equate to a late charge come stretch drive to compete for this one. (5) Bella Bay is getting a play from me as this field looks vulnerable to a firster. I think this horse will have some late speed at this distance and could be a winner first time out. Last play will be (6) Aurannian who I think will be set to a stalking position early and be able to make up ground late.

Race 5:
The favorites look good in here and will include each of them. (1A) Democratic Values will be aggressively ridden from the gate to find an early stalking position on the rail. I like this horse to repeat last performance and see that as a winning trip. (4) Grit and Glory is going to be closing strongly under Cancel and this race could set up perfectly for a ride like that. Last play will be (5) Dust Devil who also will be coming strongly late and if this horse can get a head start on (4) Grit and Glory then he has a chance to hit the wire first.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 6:
(4) VILLAINOUS was asked to do too much last time coming from way back. Englehart brings him back here and finds the right spot. The slight class relief and the addition of McCarthy should make all the difference against this bunch. (3) KUMAR may be the danger. Rudy also spots this guy where he should be competitive today. Look for jock to gun in to the front and try to hold on. Atras claimed (2) AIR ATTACK and goes to Franco which mos of the time is enough. They’ll sit chilly and make their move coming into the stretch and will try to hold off the Villain.

Race 7:
(5) PLEASURE LUCK will be a handful today. She’s a little more tested than the other favorite and she adds L1. Davis gets the call and I like the cut back to 6F. Hennig is have a meet so we’re expecting this gal to be ready. (1A) MY ALLURING LADY was a sharp winner when she faced fellow NY Breds last time. A Re-Pete of that makes this Run Happy dangerous.The only other that I’ll use here is outside runner (6) OUT FIRST. They tried to stretch her out but it seems that she doesn’t want to go a distance. They cut her back and add L1 for this. Her maiden win puts her right there with these.

Race 8:
We’ll spread out here as these MCL 25k fillies are a tough bunch. (4) EMMA AND I ran a decent figure (compared to the rest in here) last time and has grabbed checks in the last two. (6) FULL OF FIRE is where I’ll landed. Claimed by Noda two back, he nows gives the keys to Manny and will look to wire this group. (1) DELAWARE DESTINY was moving ok last time and then gave it up late. Davis will give her another try aas she faces a weaker field than last. (9) REGAL HONOR is Rice and Cancel and they been doing well this meet together. I don’t think we’ll get the ML but if we do, they’re worth a play.
