We are headlined today by the Gr.3 Withers in race 8. Big Pete will be covering that race and have plenty to say about the entries. We are going to look to take down a pair of pick 3 plays that covers the pick 6 sequence. I will be focused on races 4-6 and Big Pete will tackle races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and improve our bankroll on. I may mess around and throw in a play from Gulfstream with the great racing running down there. Big Pete's $1.00 Late Pick 3:

Little Pete "Play of the Day":
Track: Gulfstream
Race 6:
I am going to try to beat the morning line favorite, (3) La Signare, in here with two others. I know Gaffalione is choosing this horse over (2) Great Island, but she picks up Irad and has been training consistently well into this one. I think Chad Brown will have this horse ready for a big performance in here. I think that there may be some early movement in this race that I think sets up (2) Great Island well. I also am going to take a chance with the (1) Makeme Dream in here. It is not where you have been, it is where you are going and I think this race sets up well for this horse to close late into.
$4.00 WPS 2 Cost: $12.00
$3.00 Ex 1,2 w/ 1,2,3,4 Cost: $18.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 1:
I won’t try to beat the favorite (5) CLEVER FELLOW. He is the most likely winner on the card today. I’m interested in who finishes right behind him (2) Shinjuku and (1) Neuro finished behind Not Phar Now who jogged Thursday. One or both of them should be passing the rest of the field through the lane.
$ 7.00 Exacta 5 w/ 1, 2 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use Clever Fellow in R1 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.
(2) Cohiba Ghost and (5) Implied Volatility look solid in the 2nd
$ 7.00 Double 5 w/ 2, 5 Cost $ 14.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 4:
The two horses I think will duel for the early lead are (5) Reed Kan and (6) Happy Farm. Both of these horses possess the ability to wire the field and are going to have to be on my ticket in case they make it a two horse race. I like the (1) Vici and (3) Sneakiness (fitting name) to stalk behind these horses and have a strong bid at it come stretch drive. I specifically like (1) Vici in here who I think will have a better trip in here with the short field and be able to save ground throughout without being bottled inside.
$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 1,3 w/ 1,3,5,6 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 5,6 w/ 1,3,5,6 Cost: $6.00
Race 5:
A big scratch with (3) Him She Kisses out of this one and it makes me lean towards (4) Principal Dancer to handle this field. I think that this horse will be able to sit behind some early pace and run by horses in this lower level field. I think the outside horse in (8) Bulwark is an interesting play here on the significant class drop and getting Dylan Davis aboard. We know that he will get an aggressive ride and this horse just may be a bit too good for this field. My last play will be a price that I like in (5) Trappeze artist. Albeit there are some good fractions on this horse from some second tier race courses, I think that this horse will be a surprisingly strong horse come stretch drive. Luzzi has been running well lately and actually chooses this horse to ride in here.
$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 4,5,8 Cost: $12.00
Race 6:
(6) What's My Category looks tough in here on paper and has to be a play on the ticket. This horse should find the lead early and may just be too good for the field. I also have to include (3) Devious Mo who we should expect some improvement from the Rodriguez barn on this horse and will also be forwardly placed. (2) Mr Fantasy is a firster I would like to try in here. The workouts look consistent and that this horse is ready to run down some horses late. I also want to include a BIG price in here on the (9) Son of an Ex. This horse did no running first time out at all and was walked off. The horse has been putting up consistently good workouts and gets a class drop into this one. I think this horse will be cold on the board, but could be a big surprise late.
$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 2,6 w/ 2,3,6,9 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 3,9 w/ 2,3,6,9 Cost: $6.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
There seems to be some speed in here. (4) ELLARELLA woke up last time and tried to steal it. Davis sticks but they will need to do it on a dry track. (4) MABEL ISLANDships in and will add some heat to the pace. She’s facing slightly better ladies today but speed is always dangerous. I’ll focus on a stalker and closer. You can see the steady improvement on (6) IFIHADACHANCE. She’s not far behind Sharp Starr, Wasp and Courageous Girl in her last three and was right with Ellarella two back. Franco returns and she has the look of sitting on a big race today. I’m all in. (1) PENDOLINA needs pace to back up. She’ll get it with the help of her stable mate. A must use for me.
$7.00 WPS 6 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 3,6 w/ 1,3,4,6 Cost: $18.00
Race 8:
My gut tells me (3) CAPO KANE was helped by the wet track (Street Sense) when he shipped in for the easy win in the Jerome. He’s a contender but he’s not 6 lengths better then these. Cancel jumps off of Pletcher and ends up the Brown’s runner (5) RISK TAKING. Probably the right move as this guy looks like he can run all day. Beat a salty group of maidens and just keeps improving. (7) DONEGAL BAY also looks long winded. This Mo, out of an Empire Maker Mare, may prove tough to reel in when the real running starts. (9) EAGLE ORB didn’t disappoint when he faced open company. He tries it again and won’t mind the 9F. He should get a piece.
$7.00 WPS 5 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 5,7 w/ 3,5,7,9 Cost: $18.00
Race 9:
I’m a sucker for the old timers so I’ll lean on the 10yr old (5) ABBAA to give us one more ride. He drops in against a very week field and can win this one if he Re-Petes his Nov 22nd win. He comes in light and Potts will give him a target up front with stable mate (2) EARNED SUCCESS. Davis will take a lot of the money on this speedster but that extra ½ furlong will be scary for this guy. I don’t like the layoff for (3) O SHEA CAN U SEE, but if he can still run, the race fits his running style to a T. He also returns to his favorite track. He’s your most likely winner in the nightcap. (6) AUTOSTRADE has been awful lately but it is Rudy and Franco and the turn back to 6.5F is what he needs.
