We are looking to gain some momentum today to carry into the weekend. We have a pair of pick 3 plays that we feel good about and it covers the pick 6 sequence. I will be focused on races 3-5 and Big Pete will be locked into races 6-8. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and improve our bankroll on. Little Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 2:
The 11 year old still has some pep in his step and I think will be able to close well in this lower level race from the outside; (6) Mills. I also think we can have some value underneath with (3) Classy Papa. This horse is second off an extended layoff in here and takes a bit of another class drop. This horse has a nice workout in mid-January and Kendrick may be aggressive early with this horse. I think this horse may be a surprise in this one.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 1:
(6) NOT PHAR NOW looks rock solid in the opener. He’ll be short odds and we’ll take the layup in here. I’m more interested in the two longshots filling the exacta. (1) Simbasalltrouble and (2) Liquor figure to lope along in the back and pass the other tiring geldings late. We’ll use both underneath .

We’ll also use Not Phar Now in R1 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.
(2) Dynamax Prime and (6) Mills look solid in the 2nd

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 3:
I like the two inside horses to engage in an early speed battle as they did last time out and I will try and beat them with three stalkers/closers that I like.
(3) Halo City: This horse is coming in winning two in a row and should be able to sit right behind the pace with the post position and could be the strongest horse late.
(5) Magnetique (TOP PICK): Kendrick aboard for the fourth time and has been racing lights out at the Big A. I think that the pace will be perfect to run past tiring horses late and I think this horse will be able to sit in a great spot around the turn and fan out wide to find the wire first.
(6) New York Rock Star: Big class drop and was boxed in last time out. I think the horse will enjoy the outside post position and be able to break freely from the pack. This horse is another closer that I think could be a contender late.

Race 4:
I trust two horses in here to get the second leg completed:
(3) Social Group: This horse will be forwardly placed and will challenge this lower level field to catch him. I like the chances of this horse just being too much for this field and run away with it.
(8) Amistad (TOP PICK): I am going going to take a chance with this horse on the outside to be able to catch (3) Social Group late. I think this horse is needing some more track, so this stretch out will be extremely beneficial late. I like this horse to be able to break free from the noise and be able to run a big stretch drive.

Race 5:
I am going to close the ticket by going three deep:
(1) Dreams Untold: This horse has the post position and the speed to run away with this one. I think Kendrick will not mess around in here and I think a must play after last performance.
(4) Tatweej (TOP PICK): This horse looks extremely strong in this position. This horse will be able to handle the weather with Pletcher trusting it. This horse will be able to sit behind that inside speed and have a strong stretch drive.
(5) Sunny Ridge: This is an interesting horse for me in here with the late speed ability. This horse could be the strongest late and I think Manny is hungry for wins.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 6:
(5) MONTAUK DADDY may have an advantage with the speed he has. Carmouche got him home first a Month ago but now has to go a little further. He scratched last week so maybe there are some issues to worry about. I’ll try to beat him with (4) MUCH TROUBLE. He was gaining on Jake last time then sputtered late trying dirt for the first time in two years. Maker reaches out to Franco for this. (1) JAKE ROCKS, to me, is the most likely winner. He’s been keeping good company lately and may have found the right field. His thorn is being 1 for 19 in the win column so we’ll side with TROUBLE here.

Race 7:
(1) JEMOGRAPHY has been on a roll and is a must use but meets open company today. (6) INSTINCTIVE RHYTHM has never missed the board in 6 starts. Almost cleared this level last time and will be tough to beat today. I’m trying to get (4) INSCOM for some value. The runner he beat last time returned to win next out so he appears to be in top form. Atras is hitting many these days as well so we’ll stick with the hot hand. (7) MORNING BREEZ hasn’t won in awhile but always seems to come with a run. We’ll include as he gets in light and cuts back to his best distance.

Race 8:
A wide open finale as MSW colts go at it. Brown usually has them ready so (8) STREET CULTURE looks solid at the 6:1 ML. Hard to leave off the ticket. (5) FULL MOON FEVER has already beat some of these finishing 2nd to a sharp firster last time. A similar effort today puts him right there again. I’ll lean more on the one who finished right behind Moon last time. (1) MY BROTHER NEIL made progress on the stretch out and gets L1 today. The wet track may have helped this Exaggerator, but he figures to hold his spot at the rail and save some ground. The interesting one is (9) BINGO JOHN. Franco stays here and this guy most likely wants more ground. If Manny can navigate a trip from out there, he figures to make some noise late.
