We have a nice 9 race card today at the Big A and we are looking to cash in on a pair of pick 3 plays. I will be focusing in on races 4-6 and Big Pete will close the card with races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" for a race we would like to try and improve our bankroll on. GOOD LUCK.

R5: 2, 5, 6, 7

R6: 1, 3, 5, 7

Cost: $48.00

Big Pete's $1.00 Late Pick 3:

Cost: $48.00

If we can get anything close to 6/1 on (7) Dirty then I will throw some more money at him. This horse is switching surfaces for the first time and has shown some speed on grass. That typically doesn't always translate to dirt, but I think this lower level field is suitable for (7) Dirty's debut on dirt. I think Cancel will sit behind the pace to the outside and have a convincing stretch drive with the strongest horse late.

$5.00 WPS 7 Cost: $15.00

$3.00 Ex 7 w/ 1,2,4,6 Cost: $12.00

$2.00 Ex 1,2,4,6 w/ 7 Cost: $8.00

Race 2:

I’m not going to try and beat (6) TAPIZEARANCE as he dropped to this level last time and ran well enough to win but was beat by another runner that also dropped in for the money. He gets in light and he can stalk or take control early if they want. He has a few races that are faster than any one in here. (3) Beach Front and (5) Dr Devera’s Way have decent runs at this level to get up for the exacta.

$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00

$ 7.00 Exacta 6 w/ 3, 5 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use TAPIZEARANCE in R2 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

(4) Releasethethunder and (5) Skyler’s Scramjet look solid in the 3rd

$ 7.00 Double 6 w/ 4, 5 Cost $ 14.00

Race 4:

(6) Brilliant Brooks is in very good form right now coming in with three wins in a row. This race is not void of early speed, so I do think it will be a bit difficult for this horse to find the lead from the gate. With that said, I do think Manny will be aggressive early and either sit behind or have the say as to the fractions. (2) The Big S is an interesting horse in here with a muddy track. I think he will be able to out duel the horse to his inside, (1) Siena Magic, and may have a chance to run on with this one. (5) Jake Rocks will be my last play with a late close down the stretch. I think Pablo will be sitting behind the pace and could have the strongest horse late.

$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 1,2,6 Cost: $12.00

Race 5:

The two outside horses look good in here and will get a play from me. (6) Will E Sutton will like the stretch out and will be able to find his footing earlier in here to get himself in a good position around the turn. (7) Lemon Drop Road will also really like the stretch out and we should only expect improvement second time out. This horse should be the strongest late. (5) I Am The Law is a firster I will give a try in here. Kendrick will be aggressive from the gate and get this horse involved early. This field is not extremely strong, so a speed horse may be able to handle them. (2) Sono Grato will be my last play in here who has some experience on the track. This horse runs a closing style and Cancel excels at handling horses like that. This may be the field the horse needed to graduate.

$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 2,5 w/ 2,5,6,7 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 6,7 w/ 2,5,6,7 Cost: $6.00

Race 6:

(1) Supreme Aura loves this mile distance and is a must play for me. I think Manny will allow this horse to find the early rail position and be a tough catch late. (3) Super Dude has the speed and Kendrick knows what to do with speed. This horse should be on the lead and if the field allows this horse to set fractions then it could be a wire to wire effort. (5) Laddie Liam gets a lot of class relief in here and has hit the board 100% of his starts. This horse looks extremely dangerous and a must play. (7) Heirloom Kitten will be my last play with Dylan Davis getting the mount. This horse should be closing strongly late and could hit the wire first if the early fractions are blistering.

$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1,5 w/ 1,3,5,7 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 3,7 w/ 1,3,5,7 Cost: $6.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

The two outside runners finished the best when this group met last time. I’m expecting (8) ELOQUENT SPEAKER to bounce back and be a little more on her toes. She should be close to the lead and try to hold off the others. (7) WAILIN JOSIE finished 2nd that day with a nice closing kick. She’ll probably be coming home strong again and is a must use. She’s had many chances though so I’ll try to beat her with the Donk mare (4) IFIHADACHANCE who’s been going longer. Her stalking style should keep her close early and with the cut back to 6F, that should make her closing kick a little better. Franco returns and if there is any left over moisture, that will only help.

$7.00 WPS 4 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 4,8 w/ 3,4,7,8 Cost: $18.00

Race 8:

A wide open NYS stakes for the ladies. I like both of the Not This Time fillies in here. (1) VACAY has Pletcher and Manny in her corner as she got on track too late last time but the 1M seems right for her today. Likely sit off the lead and tip out. (7) SECRET LOVE beat Vacay last time but should have company up front. If she can rate just off them, she’s the main danger. (2) FROST ME is a Frosted and we all know what her dad did here at the mile distance. It would be no surprise to see her motoring through the stretch and pass them all. (3) MAKE MISCHIEF has been as consistent as they come. She’s usually right there close to home and now Cancel subs in. The others will need to bring their A game as this filly will not go down lightly.

$7.00 WPS 1 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 1,3 w/ 1,2,3,7 Cost: $18.00

Race 9:

Potts has two in here, a speed and a closer. The closer I like a little more (3) OUCH OUCH OUCH looked like he was having issues in his last and shut it down early. He gets L1 today and some speed up front with his stablemate (8) CONFECTIONER. If no one challenges him early, he may be tough to reel in. I’m looking for others to go so I’ll take the other closer (7) DUTCHMEN FOREVR. He dropped way back when he dropped in class, but was left with too much to do. He ended up not far from Apex Predator in that race and he returned this week to jog in his maiden win. I’m not happy about the jock but that helps with the odds. He’ll be a price and overlooked here. (5 WARFRONT FIGHTER will be on most tickets as this gal has back to back 2nd and the winner in his last race returned yesterday for the Re-Pete.

$7.00 WPS 7 Cost: $21.00
