Six days left until Christmas and we still have highly competitive racing at Aqueduct with some good purses. We will remain consistent with our plays and key in on a pair of pick 3 plays. These will also cover the pick 6 sequence if you are feeling risky and would like to take a shot at it. I will be locked into races 5-7 and Big Pete will be focusing on races 8-10. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race that we would like to try and improve the bankroll on. Make sure to subscribe to the newsletter to receive new blog post notifications and a weekly blog sent to your email. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 4:

I like two horses in here to beat the favorites. (7) Awesome Debate will challenge early for the pace and I like the form coming into this one to try and wire the field. My other play will be (3) Cathy Naz who I anticipate to be the strongest late and run down the tiring front runners. I think that these two horses will be a nice price relative to the field and will play an exacta with.

$3.00 Ex 3,7 w/ 3,5,6,7 Cost: $18.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 2:

(2) VALLARAND was bet heavy in her debut and managed 4th. That was in the slop and gets a dry track today. Baker drilled her on the 14th so she appears ready to strut her stuff. Cancel is riding well so she’s a must play at the 5:1 ML.

$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 30.00

We’ll use her on top with the favorite and a closer to come running late for our exacta.

(1) Pleasure Luck and (5) Blame It On Mary

$ 7.00 Exacta 2 w/ 1, 5 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use Vallarand in R2 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

(1) Invaluable and (5) Miss Charisma look solid in the 3rd

$ 7.00 Double 2 w/ 1, 5 Cost $ 14.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 5:

(4) Inspiration Point sold for $725K to the Repole stables and looks like the real deal in here. I expect this horse to not mess around from the start and find the lead and not look back. I am thinking Pletcher is looking to break the maiden on this horse in Aqueduct and then send him south to run in some bigger races in January. With that said, I think that the stablemate may try and run with him and tire him out late. I think (1) By George is an interesting play here to be sitting behind the pace and have the Clement close that we have seen throughout 2020. I think that it will be smart to include this horse first time out. (9) Momza is also going to get a play here for me as he has some experience and has shown a good close in each. I think that this race should set up well for a closer and experience does matter. My last play is going to be (5) Core who I think is an interesting play here to be forwardly placed and could sustain a big run under Manny. I think that this race could shape up to be a pivotal one moving forward as I do like some firsters in here.

$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1,4 w/ 1,4,5,9 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 5,9 w/ 1,4,5,9 Cost: $6.00

Race 6:

The entries in here actually pair extremely well together and I expect them to be low odds come post time. (1) Chateau will find the early lead from the third post and could run on with this one. (1A) Clench will sit behind and have plenty in the tank late to try and run down the early pace; a wine and cheese combo (Nice). (3) Cost Basis is another horse in here that I like to stalk the early pace and with the post position he will be able to save ground and have plenty left to run down the leaders. My last play will be a horse that I have always like in (7) Montauk Traffic This horse's career started right when I started becoming attentive to the NY circuit and this horse became a favorite of mine. This horse possesses the ability and I will take him 8/1 any time. This horse closes off the pace and I like his odds to run down this field late.

$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 1,3,7 Cost: $12.00

Race 7:

(7) Vineyard Sound looks to make it four in a row and have to include against this field. Lezcano is dangerous every mount and leaving him off my ticket to close is just not going to happen. (5) Shamrocked with redemption on the brain against (7) Vineyard Sound? I think that this horse will have a little extra push late here and could hit the wire first; DRAMA. (6) Fox Red is another horse in here that I like. I always play the horses that I think will be ridden aggressively early in these sprints and I expect this horse to have that trip. My last play will be (8) Square Shooter who I expect to be coming strong late and Morales ran down the field in yesterday's 4th race and could have a similar trip here.

$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 5,7 w/ 5,6,7,8 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 6,8 w/ 5,6,7,8 Cost: $6.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 8:

NYS Bred’s go at it in this 6F sprint. I like (10) RUVIES IN TIME getting back on a dry track. She finished right behind the two favorites entered here and gets in light. There’s not a lot of speed so the instruction to the bug may be just to go as she did three back. (9) BANKERS DAUGHTER will be the first of the stalkers to engage the leaders. Davis figures to bide his time and let the filly loose entering the stretch. If they can save some ground from out there, she’s the most likely winner. (5) HONEY MONEY has a win and a 2nd on the dry Aqueduct surface. She gets Lezcano back and Rice usually heats up this time of the year. A lot to like so they are a must use. Little Pete: I know Big Pete is excluding (6) Snicket because he does not like horses after breaking their maiden, but I think this field is vulnerable and I think we need (6) Snicket on the ticket this time out.

$7.00 WPS 10 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 9,10 w/ 5,8,9,10 Cost: $18.00

Race 9:

(5) MUSICAL HEART looks to be the controlling speed in this 9F Queens County. He just missed holding on last time and now Atras gets aggressive with him off the claim. Guessing he’s still in shape Carmouche will likely gun him to the front right out of the gate. (2) MIRINAQUE finally showed up with a solid effort last time and Ward gives Davis a leg up. He drops from a G2 so he gets a little class relief to help his cause. Not a fan of the (4) BACKSIDEOFTHEMOON here but we’ll use with (3) EMPTY TOMB underneath to come late for a piece.

$7.00 WPS 5 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 2,5 w/ 2,3,4,5 Cost: $18.00

Race 10:

(5) JUST RIGHT has been consistent all year. He’s got two in row and meets similar company today. We’re expecting for the same result fresh off the claim. I’ll take the higher odds and give (8) SEVEN LILIES the nod. He was left with too much to do last time but still managed to get within a length of winning. Atras switches to Franco in hopes that he can time it Just Right. We’ll use two closers to pass most of them for the exacta. (6) KOSCIUSZKO and (10) DURKIN’S CALL rarely win but are both capable of coming late for a scare.

$7.00 WPS 8 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 5,8 w/ 5,6,8,10 Cost: $18.00
