Thursday racing with a 9 race card and we are staying consistent with our pick 3 plays. I will be covering races 4-6 and Big Pete will handle races 7-9. Little Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 2:
I really like (8) Excellent Timing to break his maiden in here. I think this horse's biggest competition is firsters in here and I think that experience will matter here. I think we can hit a nice exacta and a double into Big Pete's play.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
The old Pros go at it in this 40K claiming event. You can make a case for most of them, but it’s hit or miss if they feel like running today. Pletcher looks to be unloading (6) LEGIT today, so I’m guessing he has him ready for one more run. He just missed two back against Sea Foam at the Spa at this same distance. All they need to do is duplicate that and that should do it.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 4:
I am going to go three deep in here and excluding a horse that Big Pete likes. I really like (2) Sul Candy to run a big race in here as a firster. I think that Clement sees something in this horse dropping him in to a mile distance first time out. (1/1A) looks to be a must play here with (1A) Malibu Star looks to be the horse to beat in here. This horse has been training lights out and travels well, which we should expect him to do against this field. Last play will be the Chad Brown horse in (8) Risk Profile. I think this horse will be able to close strongly against this field.

Race 5:
This race looks pretty wide open here for me, so I will be including five horses. (2) Fedalia moves to grass for the first time and I think runs a big one in here. This horse will be able to break from the inside and find her footing early which could make a huge difference come stretch drive. (3) Broken Table is a firster from Pletcher that I think deserves a play here. This horse has been training well and has the pedigree to handle this field well. (7) Amortization is my top pick in here with a better ride from Manny here. I think that this horse will be more forwardly placed and the workouts leading in signal to me that this horse will be with the crowd early and run by late. (8) Coal Shaft is a firster that I would like to give a chance in here who I think will be forwardly placed early and could run a huge one here. Last play will be the American Pharoah daughter in (10) Baby Blythe who could be ready to win first time out.

Race 6:
I love (2) Wudda U Think Now in here to win first time out against winners. I think the workout leading in signals that this horse is ready to shoot from the gate and not look back. I love the post position and Rosario is looking to have a day here. I also will include (4) Cold Hard Cash who also likes to shoot from the gate and try and wire the field. If this horse is left alone up front early, then this horse handles this crowd. (6) Jerry the Ripper ran big last time out against winners on a muddy track and should run even better on this fast surface. This horse is a must play on my ticket.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
Rice claimed (8) NO LIME back in Aug and returns months later at the same level. Red flag alert so we’ll try to beat him. Noda claimed (6) DANGEROUS EDGE two back and showed improvement next out trying to close from too far back. We should expect a solid run here 2nd time out. (11) DIANNESIMPAZIBLE dropped and came with a decent rally to get third last time. A Re-Pete of that run puts this guy and Davis right there. I have to try a crazy one in here. (5) MY AMANJENA exits the same race as Impazible and was only three lengths behind him after a bumpy start. This Big Brown loses weight as the bug jumps on. Let’s take a shot here.

Race 8:
The obvious choice is (5) FRESCO as Clement and Rosario team up again. She was nailed at the wire last time and looking for the win this time. (10) SUMMER AT THE SPA finished right behind Fresco and has a win on this turf course. These two stand out and I’m expecting one of them to come out on top and we’ll use. I like a price in here that I have to try. (9) GRAETZ also finished three lengths behind Fresco last month, while trying to close into a slow half mile split. She ran faster in her two Spa sprints and I’m looking for her to stay closer to the pace and make a late run. I have to try this gal at her juicy 10:1 ML. I’ll just use these three to try and get to the finale.

Race 9:
(7) BREITHORN is your deserving favorite here as he drops back to the MCL level. Just missed two back and stable rider returns. (5) WILD CAT WEST has speed and that’s always dangerous. If they can get clear, he could get brave on the lead. The other speed is (10) CONFECTIONER. Manny sticks around and draws this mount and they finally get a dry track. The cut back to 6F makes this guy very interesting at 12:1. (3) LADY’S BOY was eased early in his debut. Has had time to work out his issues and is by a win early sire. Davis gets up for Baker. They look live to me.
