We are remaining consistent with our plays at Aqueduct and attacking a pair of pick 3 plays. I will be focusing in on races 5-7, while Big Pete will be keying in on races 8-10. If you are feeling gutsy then you can play as a pick 6 play, but no pressure. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race that we think we can maximize some plays on. Make sure to subscribe to the newsletter to receive new blog post notifications and a weekly blog sent to your email. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R6: 3, 7, 8, 11, 12

R7: 2, 8, 9, 10

Cost: $60.00

*My favorites in each race are highlighted in PURPLE*

Big Pete's $1.00 Late Pick 3:

R8: 5, 6, 7

R9: 4, 5, 8, 10

R10: 2, 3, 8, 9

Cost: $48.00

*My favorites in each race are highlighted in PURPLE*

Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 2:

I think this race is going to be difficult to bet on and presents an opportunity for us to cash in on some relatively nice prices in here. I really like (2) Arrowheart to sit behind the early pace and running into a field he can run on with. I also like (6) Vodka Lemonade to be up there in here and try and run on with it. I will use this horse and (2) Arrowheart in my exacta plays and hope a bigger price may come up late.

$5.00 WPS 2 Cost: $15.00

$3.00 Ex 2,6 w/ 1,2,6,7 Cost: $18.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

(2) SUMMER BOURBON is a sprinter so his last race, even though he ran ok, it should not be used against him. Rice may have tried to build up stamina and now she cuts him back to the preferred 6F distance. His two wins this year have come on this track.

We’ll use him on top and use the two closers to pick up the pieces for our exacta.

(1) Vicar’s Legend and (8) Tale Of Mist

$ 7.00 Exacta 2 w/ 1, 8 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use Summer in this race and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

(1) Conviction Trade and (5) Winning Factor look solid in the 4th

$ 7.00 Double 2 w/ 1, 5 Cost $ 14.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 5:

I am not going to get in my own way here and going to go with the three favorites in here. (10) Advance Notice looks to be the strong play here and will be my top selection. I think Irad will be able to navigate a ground saving trip and have plenty left to run on with this one. I am going to include two others in here in case of a bad break from the gate. (5) Siena Magic is going to be aggressive in this sprint and I always like having a sense of what the tactic will be for Dylan Davis. He will send this horse to the front and see what he can get. (7) Money Ride beat (5) Siena Magic last time out in a strong closing at this distance and nothing is signaling that this horse can't do that again; will include.

$5.00 WP 10 Cost: $10.00

$3.00 Ex 10 w/ 5,7 Cost: $6.00

$2.00 Ex 5,7 w/ 5,7,10 Cost: $8.00

Race 6:

Irad has another winner in here and is a must play, but with that said I think this will be a highly competitive race so will go five deep. (8) FreedomofthePress is the logical choice and will be a tough beat in here, so will include. (11) Dame of Malta is switching surfaces and getting Rosario aboard in this one. I like the workouts leading in and think this horse will be a force late and will be on my ticket. (12) Lijana is a firster I think will run a big race first time out. The workouts are consistently run well and the horse will be able to break outside of all of the horses to find her footing. I think Lezcano will allow the horse to run her race and see what she has left come stretch time. (3) Coworth Park is stretching out for the Pletcher barn and I just cannot leave one of his horses off my ticket right now with that 42% winning clip. This horse should be a relatively nice price and I think a strong contender. Last play will be a stalking Dylan Davis aboard (7) Tic Tic Tic Boom.

$3.00 WPS 12 Cost: $9.00

$1.00 Ex 8,11,12 w/ 3,7,8,11,12 Cost: $12.00

Race 7:

Everything is telling me to try and beat Chad Brown in here so I will be trusting my gut. I will have to include (9) Traffic Pattern in case no one challenges this horse early and he is able to set the pace throughout and run on with this one. (8) Bee Catcher looks to be an early speed threat and I think Jose will be able to be aggressive from the gate and get a head start on the favorite and could be all he needs. (10) Silver Token I think is really dangerous in here to close strongly against a fast pace. I think being to the outside of the speed will allow Lezcano to let the horse find his early position and have plenty left to fan out wide come stretch time and run on with this one. (2) K. K. Ichikawa is my last play in here and I think will also be ready to roll come stretch time and could get the head bob to win this one.

$3.00 WPS 10 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 2,8,10 w/ 2,8,9,10 Cost: $18.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 8:

(7) SARATOGA PAL will be the deserving favorite. He has been sharp the fall beating open company and now moves back in against NYS Breds. I can’t knock him as he’ll get a decent set-up to close into. (5) JEMOGRAPHY shipped in last month to just miss. The shorter 6F may help the shorter the better for this gut. I will try to beat them both with (6) NOTORIOUS FLIRT. He beat top NY Breds last year at this time and then went on the shelf. Then returned 10 months later to post a workout type 4th place finish beaten only 4 lengths. Rice has go to jock up for this so I’ll give him a shot at this 8:1 ML.

$7.00 WPS 6 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 6,7 w/ 3,5,6,7 Cost: $18.00

Race 9:

All eyes will be on (10) RED KNIGHT after his convincing win in the Sycamore. He got the perfect trip that day and he made it look easy. I’ll use but look elsewhere. The old vet (4) SADLER’S JOY is the class but I think his better days are behind him. I’ll use defensively here. I can’t pass up on (5) NORTH DAKOTA. He was a few lengths behind “Red” last time but had all kinds of trouble mid stretch. Lezcano gets the call to navigate this 11F jog and will offer decent odds. He keeps improving and is worth a shot. (8) ZIYAD is the other to watch. He got on track late in his first US race last time and I would expect improvement 2nd time out for Motion. Manny returns after a test drive.

$7.00 WPS 5 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 5,8 w/ 4,5,8,10 Cost: $18.00

Race 10:

(8) MICHAEL’S BAD BOY looks strong in here. Closed nicely to just miss as the favorite and we’re likely to see the same thing again. Irad stays and is a must use. I’ll lean a little on (2) BIELFELD. I think Franco may show more speed today as he’ll have to go from the rail. If he can get a breather down the back stretch, they might be tough to pass. The interesting gelding is (3) EMPIRE EXPRESS. His lone turf try came a year ago where he beat Michael that day. This Big Brown now moves back to the turf for Noda and loses some weight. He may have found the right field. (9) SELFMADE shows up every so often as he wasn’t far from some of the boys we spoke about. 2nd is possible.

$7.00 WPS 3 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 3,8 w/ 2,3,8,9 Cost: $18.00
