We are carrying in some momentum into today's card and are going to remain consistent with our pick 3 plays. I will be keying in on races 4-6 and Big Pete will be focusing in on races 7-9. Big Pete will also have his "Play of the Day" on a race on this card. Make sure to subscribe to the newsletter to receive new blog post notifications and a weekly blog sent to your email. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R4: 5, 6, 8

R5: 4, 13, 14, 16

R6: 2, 3, 9, 10

Cost: $48.00

Big Pete's $1.00 Late Pick 3:

R7: 2, 5, 6, 8

R8: 1A, 13 ,14

R9: 2, 4, 6, 7

Cost: $48.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 2:

We need to draw a line through (2) LOST IN ROME’s last race. Did not get away cleanly and Manny packed it in soon after. His off the turf win at the Spa two back should be enough to handle these. The Tale of Ekati’s usually move up on wet tracks and he gets it today. There seems to be a lack of speed in here as well so expect Juarez to take advantage of that.

I’ll use with (1) Allied Invasion and (6) Double Shot

$7.00 WPS 2 Cost: $21.00

$5.00 Ex 2 w/ 1,6 Cost: $10.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 4:

I am going to start off the leg going three deep in here. I really like (6) Brees Bayou to excel against this field. I think that Kendrick will be able to let this horse run out from the gate from the break and be able to run late with this horse. I will also include the morning line favorite, (8) Vermont Billy, who should improve from his first start be a tough horse to beat in here. Last play will be (5) Wild Cat West from the Rudy Rodriguez barn. This horse should be able to handle the cut back in distance and run on with this one late.

$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 5,6,8 Cost: $12.00

Race 5:

I will be going four deep in this race filled with scratches due to the move to dirt. (4) Lucky Ramsey has put up good beyer speeds in previous races on dirt and I think Dylan Davis will be aggressive early in here. I think that makes a big difference and will be able to be involved throughout. (13) Chief Know it All could be a horse for the course and should be able to find a stalking spot from the break. I am going to give this horse a chance to run down the field late. (14) Super Dude has been training well leading into this one and if Irad is aggressive early, which I am anticipating, then this horse will be a big player in here. (16) Creative Style gets back to the class where he has excelled and should be a low price come post time.

$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 4,16 w/ 4,13,14,16 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 13,14 w/ 4,13,14,16 Cost: $6.00

Race 6:

This should be a highly competitive race in here so going to go with four horses. (2) Blackjack Davey looks dangerous in here, especially with the workouts leading in so will have to include. (3) Prince of Pharoahs is the other Linda Rice horse in here that I think has a good chance of taking this one. I like an aggressive ride from Lezcano and giving him a great chance to close strongly. (9) Pategory One is coming in with a win at Parx and looks to be in good form and has a good chance in this race, so will include. (10) Farragut will be my last play in here who looks to be in good form and will be forwardly placed.

$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 3,9 w/ 2,3,9,10 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 2,10 w/ 2,3,9,10 Cost: $6.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(2) ADARE will take some money here as he just missed vs better last time. His only win came at this 6.5F distance so the cut back fits. (8) TWELTH MAN is a Super Savor so any left over moisture will move this guy up. He’ll need to outrun them earlier and hold off the closers. I’m taking a shot with (5) BLINDWILLIE MCTELL in here. He was a stud a year or so ago on this track, then took some time off. He seems to be getting back on track now as he faces open company again. There is plenty of speed signed on for this Posse to come and get them late. Irad oddly ends up on (6) WAR TOCSIN who shipped in here back in Feb to grab 2nd against similar. Maybe they can do it again.

$7.00 WPS 5 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 2,5 w/ 2,5,6,8 Cost: $18.00

Race 8:

Rudy claimed (14) BACKSIDEOFTHEMOON last time and spots him well in this off the turf event. He’s been keeping good company all year and gets a little relief today. Short price but a must use to stay alive. (13) WINSTON’S CHANCE finish right behind the Moon two back. He’ll look to get first jump and try to hold him off. (1A) MUSICAL HEART is another MTO who gave Performer a slight scare. His best races have come with moisture on the track and the distance will not be a problem.

$7.00 WPS 14 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 1A,14 w/ 1A,13,14 Cost: $12.00

Race 9:

Oddly enough, Trappe Shot has two entered in here. (7) SHAMROCKED gets Carmouche again who may have figured this one out getting 3rd, then 2nd in their last two races. Third time’s the charm? (2) SQUARE SHOOTER moves back to the dirt where he ran big two back. He will get the pace needed to come get them late. Davis likes to stalk and come late so he fits Shooter’s style. I have to include longshot (6) COLTANDMISSISSIPPI. Every so often he shows up with a run and this slight drop may give him some confidence to run big. That said, I can’t resist (4) BUSINESS CYCLE. He was claimed now cuts back slightly with a race under his belt with Noda. Irad sticks around for a reason. I’m all in.

$7.00 WPS 4 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 2,4 w/ 2,4,6,7 Cost: $18.00
