We are looking to rebound strongly in this one with the 9 race card we have at Aqueduct. We are off the turf with all the rain we received yesterday, but still have some competitive fields. I will be focusing in on races 4-6 while Big Pete will be focusing in on races 7-9. Big Pete's $1.00 Late Pick 3 Play:

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(1) RUDE AWAKING started her career like she had a future. Four solid races then something went wrong. Rice put her on the shelf and she used a grass race for a workout. Her last races got off to a bad start with a stumble but she wasn’t catching a resurgent Office Hutchy. Now gets and easier group to handle and guessing she’ll show more speed today. Stable rider returns.
I’ll use with (2) Lookbothways and (3) Happy Sophia
$10.00 WPS 1 Cost: $30.00
$7.00 Ex 1 w/ 2,3 Cost: $14.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 4:
I really like (3) Money in the Bank in this one to find the early lead and not look back. I think he will be able to handle the field behind him and run on with it. I will also be including the two favorites in (1) Onward and (5) Starship Bubba. These horses are both capable at this level to run on late to compete for this one, so will include.
$5.00 WPS 3 Cost: $15.00
$2.00 Ex Box 1,3,5 Cost: $12.00
Race 5:
Scratched down in this one, so landed on four horses in here. The entries look to be a tough beat here so will include them, (1/1A). (12) Road to Meath has run big beyer races and that makes him a big play here; this horse is going to be my top selection. It also is very difficult to not include (14) Twelfth Labour and (15) Fed Funds as these horses drop in to this one and the outside horses always put up a fight in these types of races.
$3.00 WPS 12 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 12,15 w/ 1,12,14,15 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 1,14 w/ 1,12,14,15 Cost: $6.00
Race 6:
This looks to be a dangerous maiden claimer for betting purposes. I am going to trust four in here, but would be smart to include some prices in here for a better pay day. (7) Full of Fire ran a pretty good race first time out and we should expect improvement from this horse from this barn; is a play here for me. (9) Rosey's Peach is back to the dirt and getting a little class drop here which I think will make a big difference. (10) Miss Comedian travels up north for the Jeremiah Englehart barn and that means he thinks this horse can win. (11) Big Tony's Girl is the only firster I will include with the pick up of Jose Ortiz in here. The horse has some pretty good workout numbers and if Jose is aggressive, then we could see a first time winner.
$3.00 WPS 11 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 7,11 w/ 7,9,10,11 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 9,10 w/ 7,9,10,11 Cost: $6.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
Most of these older gents have reaching the end of their careers and square off in this bottom 12K claiming event. (6) WEGOTOLDYOUGOTSOLD takes the major drop here which is not a good sign. Not a lot of confidence in him as they give a leg up to Worrie. I’ll pass and look else where. (3) FOX RED has been consistent but tries the big leagues today. If he can duplicate those Monmouth cheap claiming races, he may be competitive here. With moisture expected, I’ll look for (4) WUSHU WARRIOR to get back on track after a dismal showing last time. His race two back would be good enough here and gets a little break in the weights. He’s bred top and bottom for mud.
$7.00 WPS 4 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 3,4 w/ 3,4,6 Cost: $12.00
Race 8:
I’ll use both of the Into Mischief’s on top. (2) DUDLEY SQUARE outran his odds last time and may try to control this from the start. If he can clear off, Johnny V will try to save some for later. (4) MISCHIEF AFOOT is the one I’ll take a stab at. Went too wide last time but his Spa two turn race two back is best among this group. Jose is a bonus and they should be coming late. I’m not a fan of the favorite Our Last Buck so if he wins I’m out. (3) FRIED RICE KING and (5) FIRST LINE are the two that will try to make it into the exacta. They both figure to be a price so we’ll use underneath.
$7.00 WPS 4 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 2,4 w/ 2,3,4,5 Cost: $18.00
Race 9:
Most of these have trouble moving forward through the stretch so I’ll use two on top that show some sort of speed. (2) UNBRIDLED JOHN almost held on against similar last time and now gets an inside post going into the first turn. If left alone, he won’t be caught this time. (6) TIZ ENVY is interesting here. He too shows speed and drops slightly. That’s a dangerous combination for this level. His race two back in the slop puts him right there. (9) TRI SAINT LOENZO is the only closer I want in here. He was moving in the right direction in his last two races and gets a break in the weights. If the others get leg weary up front, he’s your likely winner.
