Racing in NY is back which means so are we. We are ready to take down a pair of pick 3 plays that cover the pick 6 sequence. I will be locked in on races 4-6 and Big Pete will handle races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and improve our bankroll on. Make sure to subscribe to the newsletter to receive new blog post notifications and a weekly blog sent to your email. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R4: 1, 3, 4

R5: 2, 6, 7

R6: 1, 3, 7, 8

Cost: $36.00

Big Pete's $1.00 Late Pick 3:

R7: 2, 4, 5, 7

R8: 1, 2, 7

R9: 2, 3, 5, 7

Cost: $48.00

Little Pete "Play of the Day":

Race 2:

(5) King of American is a horse that I think will be a relative price in here and has the ability to get this one done. I think this horse will be able to navigate a trip around the turn and have enough in the tank to run a convincing stretch drive.

$5.00 WPS 5 Cost: $15.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

One more shot for me with (3) QUINTARELLI. He ran into a sharp Kingfish last week and now returns 7 days later with Cancel up. He didn’t seem comfortable for most of the trip so the jock switch may help settle him down. These runners only have 1 win apiece so these positive changes should help.

$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00

We’ll use him with the two favorites for our exacta.

(5) King Of American and (7) Kid Chocolate

$ 7.00 Exacta 3 w/ 5, 7 Cost $ 14.00

We’ll also use Quintarelli in R2 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

(2) Freid Rice King and (3) Mandatory Payout look solid in the 3rd

$ 7.00 Double 3 w/ 2, 3 Cost $ 14.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 4:

(1) Pete's Play Call is somewhat of a no brainer in here with the fantastic name and the current form this horse is in. I think the inside post will strongly benefit this horse to find the early lead and challenge the horses to his outside to keep up. (3) Share the Ride is the other logical play in here who also is in good form and will also show some great speed in here. I think both horses are a must play on tickets. I will also be including (4) Stan the Man who has been beaten by these two horses in previous races and looks to have redemption on the brain. Who doesn't love a comeback story?

$5.00 Ex 1 w/ 3,4 Cost: $10.00

$2.00 Ex 3,4 w/ 1,3,4 Cost: $8.00

Race 5:

The only horse in here with experience that I like is (7) Nebo who I think will run a forwardly placed race and that could be the winning position. I will be taking (2) Glenmore and (6) Esotica in here who I think will show some late speed against this field and be a tough contender first time out.

$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex box 2,6,7 Cost: $12.00

Race 6:

This is a tough race to pick a winner out of but I will take a chance with (7) Tale of the Mist. This horse has shown pretty good closing ability in previous races and I think this race will have some early speed duels to open the race up for the closer. (8) Manifest Destiny is a horse I like to find the early lead and if he is allowed to run free up front then it will be difficult to catch late. (1) Storm Advisory is a horse that I like to be sitting behind the early pace and have a convincing stretch drive. (3) Gio D'Oro is my last play in here who I think will run a big one in here against this field.

$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 7,8 w/ 1,3,7,8 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 1,3 w/ 1,3,7,8 Cost: $6.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(2) LIMONITE has 2 wins at this level in 2020 and 1M seems to be his best distance. Maker claimed him two back and now offers him up again. We’ll use but I’m not a fan. No surprise this time of the year but I’m leaning on Rice and Rudy. (7) FAMILY BIZ comes in fresh off the claim after an ok 3rd in the muddy. A confident jump and a dry track makes this guy a contender. (5) KUMAR will be the speed and will not have much company up front. That’s dangerous at any level and Franco returns. The old Pro, (4) MALIBU PRO still is producing and will most likely be closing in late. He is a must use.

$7.00 WPS 7 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 5,7 w/ 2,4,5,7 Cost: $18.00

Race 8:

(7) SCILLY CAY looks to be his old self again with a nice run last time. There should be enough speed up front to set-up his closing kick. The Aqueduct surface seems to agree with him. I’m leaning heavy on (2) BRONX BOMBER. Handal got him right last time but he couldn’t handle last close to home. The shorter distance today will give this guy a stronger finish and hold off the closers. The inside draw should help save some ground. (1) GOLANI BRIGADE drops in for a tag and cuts back. He’ll be a handful IF he’s right. Brown doesn’t usually drop his horse unless he wants to get rid of them.

$7.00 WPS 2 Cost: $21.00

$5.00 Ex 2,7 w/ 1,2,7 Cost: $20.00

Race 9:

We’ll spread out here but there’s two in here that will take most of the money. The Pharoah runner, (3) MANDATORY has made steady progress and gets a dry track. Kimmel has nursed him along and now cuts him back to 1M. All systems go. (7) MYSTIC NIGHT ships in for Brown after chasing a good one at Churchill. He’ll be ready to go and is your most likely winner. Firster (5) FIVE TOOL PLAYER is bred to be a good one. Servis has been patient with this one as he debut’s as a 4 yr old. (2) JOHNNYPUMP collects checks and gets a new rider today. Sometimes that’s enough to turn the switch on.

$7.00 WPS 3 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 3,7 w/ 2,3,5,7 Cost: $18.00
