I am not trying to get ahead of myself in this one, but someone (me) might be bringing in some momentum into this Sunday's card. We are going to remain consistent in our plays and attack a pair of pick 3 plays. I will be keying in on races 4-6 and Big Pete will have races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and improve our bankroll on. Make sure to subscribe to the newsletter to receive new blog post notifications and a weekly blog sent to your email. GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's $1.00 Spot Pick 3:

Cost: $48.00
Big Pete's $1.00 Late Pick 3:
R7: 1, 3, 6, 9

Race 2:
I am going to give (4) Beach Front another chance in here to handle this field. I think that this field may be a little timid from the break to try and set up their horse for a nice close down the stretch and going to trust Carmouche to make that difficult for them. I am thinking that Kendrick will find the early lead in this 6 furlongs sprint in mud and not look back.
$5.00 WPS 4 Cost: $15.00
$3.00 Ex 4 w/ 3,6,7 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 3,6,7 w/ 4 Cost: $6.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(3) MANDATORY returns after a brief freshening and sports a bullet gate work last week. It looks like Kimmel has this American Pharoah ready to fire. The two turn 9F and the muddy surface will not be an issue. The others look to struggle when they try to stretch out.
$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00
We’ll use him on top with two longshots underneath for our exacta.
(5) TruePalace and (7) Halo City
$ 7.00 Exacta 3 w/ 5, 7 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use Mandatory in R3 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE playand maybe even help out Little Pete with his start to the Pk3.
(1) Microscope and (7) Cold Hard Cash look solid in the 4th
$ 7.00 Double 3 w/ 1, 7 Cost $ 14.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 4:
I really think that this race is going to come down to the Linda Rice entries in here, but going to include (1) Microscope who Big Pete likes in here on the mud. (6) Too Early has been on the shelf for almost three months and remains at the same level he was running at. Extra time in the barn with Linda Rice is always a good thing to me if they remain at the same level next time out and I think this horse runs a big race in here. (7) Cold Hard Cash looks to be the logical winner in here on paper especially with the moisture in the ground. This horse will be able to sit behind the early speed in this 1 1/8th mile race and show off his ability late. (1) Microscope is jumping back up to allowance company after two pretty good performances. This horse can handle the mud and Big Pete believes the inside post should also play an advantage. I will include to appease him, but I personally would leave at the two Rice horses.
$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 1,6,7 Cost: $12.00
Race 5:
(2) Miss Mi Mi is going to be my top selection in here as I think this horse is in pretty good form for being a 6 year old. I think that Dylan Davis will be able to allow this mare to find her footing on the rail and be able to fan out wide for a convincing stretch drive. Horse who loves the course! (3) She's a Black Belt is another horse that I like in here to be the speed. I think that if this horse is left alone to set some easy fractions then it will be difficult to catch up ground late. (7) Sirenic looks good in here but is not unbeatable as the favorite in this position. I will include in case she just is too good for this field but would like to try and beat. (8) Princess Corey ran a nice race last time out and could parlay that performance into a big race in here. If it breaks down late up front then I like the chances of this horse benefiting the most.
$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 2,8 w/ 2,3,7,8 Cost: $12.00
1.00 Ex 3,7 w/ 2,3,7,8 Cost: $6.00
Race 6:
The favorites in here look really good to me in here and will include the top three. (2) Dark Storm should show some early speed in here and a forwardly placed horse on this type of surface is always a great place to be. (3) Super Dude will also be a horse that will be forwardly placed and these two could possibly run away from the field. (4) Family Biz looks to be in great form and should be able to handle the fractions in here and will be a dangerous threat come stretch run. My last play is going to be (1) Castagno who I think will enjoy the surface at Aqueduct. I think that this horse will be able to find his footing early in here and let the horses in front duel it out and then show off the stamina and try and run this field down late.
$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 1,4 w/ 1,2,3,4 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 2,3 w/ 1,2,3,4 Cost: $6.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
(1) JERRY THE NIPPPER won easy on the lead last time and will try the same today. With not a lot of speed signed on, he has a good chance to handle the next level he’s facing today. (3) OPTdidn’t mind the switch to dirt last time closing in for the place. However, it’s been awhile since he got to the wire first. I’ll use defensively incase Davis can time it right but I’ll lean on the runner that finished behind Opt last time. (9) SIX PERCENT has been solid all year collecting checks and Franco returns. Maker drilled him on 12/27 for this and his best race has come when there was moisture in the track. Everything is aligned for the win today. I’ll also use our buddy (6) TWISTED TOMwho has worked himself back in shape. If he can remember some of his races from years ago, he’ll give them a scare today.
$7.00 WPS 9 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 3,9 w/ 1,3,6,9 Cost: $18.00
Race 8:
(6) SHARP STARR figures to get a lot of attention. She was big in the Go For Wand last month and now faces fellow NY Breds. Figures to control this unless the inside speed in the two hole is on a suicide mission. If that happens, the one I want to catch them is (5) MRS. ORB. The cut back to 7F fits this gal perfect. She needs the speeds to back up but the moisture will help this Orb glide over the track. I’m really only interested in these two but (4) PRAIRE FIRE is two for two on a wet track and gets that today.
$7.00 WPS 5 Cost: $21.00
$5.00 Ex 5,6 w/ 4,5,6 Cost: $20.00
Race 9:
There’s three in here that will take most of the money. (9) INVESTMENT GRADE ships in and drops to face fellow NY Breds. He’s supposed to win but that’s a big drop. Maybe something went wrong. (1) CAPTIVATING CARA dropped last time and it helped as she closed after a tardy start. Gets L1 and may improve off of that. (3) STELLA MARS tries dirt and L1 for the first time. Mom was ok on it but Dad was all turf. I am taking a shot with (2) VIVE LA LIBERTY. She should some speed in two of her starts and this bunch seems to be lacking that. She gets in light and Cardenas’s instructions will be to go. I’m looking for this one wire them and hope the others don’t show..
