We are back to our NY ways and focused on taking down the pick 6 sequence with a pair of pick 3's to break it down; (I hit my PK3 yesterday, NBD). I will be locked into races 4-6 and Big Pete will be focusing in on races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and improve the bankroll on. Make sure to subscribe to the newsletter to receive new blog post notifications and a weekly blog sent to your email. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete & Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 1:
We both are looking to attack the first race and we have a couple of horses that may be a little cold on the board.
Little Pete:
I think there is an opportunity to play off of two horses that I like in the first. (1) Emma and I has ran the best race to date of this bunch and the post position favors this horse extremely well. (6) Rosey's Peach I think will seek the early lead and that allows Lezcano to stalk this pace and fan out wide to run down the field. I also like the outside horse in (9) Delaware Destiny who I think will be able to find her footing early in this one to be in a nice stalking around the turn. I think this horse has an improved effort and could be the field this horse needs to break her maiden.
$3.00 Ex 1,9 w/ 1,2,4,6,9 Cost: $24.00
Big Pete:
I like a price in the opener. I don’t think we’ll get the 10:1 ML but, one can only hope. (4) ROSIE’S SURPRISE was two lengths behind Poncho Song who ran huge yesterday. She finished just in front of the likely favorite in here, Rosey’s Peach. Then she faced MSW last time and didn’t run a step. I’m tossing that one as she now drops down to where she belongs. Her other MCL start, she closed well to get 2nd back in October. It’s now or never for this filly so we’ll take a shot.
$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00
We’ll use her with the two favorites for our exacta.
(1) Emma and I and (6) Rosey’s Peach
$ 7.00 Exacta 4 w/ 1, 6 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use Rosie’s Surprise in R1 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.
(3) Charlotte Webley and (7) Mind Of Gold look solid in the 2nd
$ 7.00 Double 4 w/ 3, 7 Cost $ 14.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 4:
I really like Dylan Davis aboard the (1) La Negrita in here who is fresh off the claim. I think the rail position will allow this horse to break well to the rail and save ground around the turn and be able to fan out wide to show some late speed. (3) Cadeau De Paix is another horse that I think will perform well late. This horse has ran well against better competition and the 12/1 morning line looks like a great investment to me. I think that both (8) City Temper and (9) Halama are going to be the two speed horses in here and if either of them runs there best race then they will be tough to catch; I will include both.
$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 E 1,3 w/ 1,3,8,9 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 8,9 w/ 1,3,8,9 Cost: $6.00
Race 5:
(7) Jill's a Hot Mess may be a horse that just doesn't want to pass horses late. This horse has four second place finishes after holding the lead at some point in the race. I think this horse may be running into a field that is just not as good as her, so will be forced to include. I think the surface switch will pay off well for (5) Lollygag who I think will be able to close well against this field. I anticipate the horses to her inside to be the early speed and this horse will be able to find a rail position and fan out wide for a chance at this one. (6) Bewps has been training consistently well and the Asmussen barn likes to get their horses ready to win first time out. (9) Irresistible Girl is a firster from Brad Cox who is only sending out winners. I think that Manny will have a live horse in here and could be extremely dangerous late.
$3.00 WPS 9 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 7,9 w/ 5,6,7,9 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 5,6 w/ 5,6,7,9 Cost: $6.00
Race 6:
I am not going to overthink this one and I think the winner of this race is either going to be (3) Impazible Donna or (7) Beautiful Karen. Both of these horses will be forwardly placed and may just be the two of these horses late. If (4) Eloquent Speaker duels early for the lead then I like (6) Quietude to have a great chance to close strongly against a tiring field. I will leave it with those three horses to close out our ticket.
$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 3,6,7 Cost: $12.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
I’ll focus on the two dropping from the MSW in here, but spread out a little. (1) BELLA DOMENICA has been battling all year and has run decent against a few good ones. Blitchen Lady jogged yesterday and she finished close to her at the Spa. Rudy finally drops to the right spot and gets Vargas. (3) CALIDAD also has a few races that makes her competitive at this level. The rider switch to Carmouche may be the difference for this gal. We’ll use a few more defensively as Brown debuts (7) REPEAL AND REPLACE but is not his strong point. Firster (2) UNDETECTABLE is the unknown and the full time maiden (4) DANCING TIKI, actually has a shot in here if the other four don’t show.
$7.00 WPS 1 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 1,3 w/ 1,2,3,4 Cost: $18.00
Race 8:
We’ll take a stand here and only use two. Brown ships in (5) THE GRASS IS BLUE off a fast closing stake race at Laurel. A similar effort puts her in the winners circle against these today. Manny and the 9F only help the cause. We’ll use the lone speed (4) TRAFFIC LANE incase the favorite stubs her toe. She’s no push over though as you get Pletcher and Lezcano and she showed some speed in a G2. We’ll try to get by with two in here.
$10.00 Ex 5 w/ 1,4 Cost: $20.00
Race 9:
I like the drop for (4) WHICHWAYTOMALIBU. He has couple of races on this track last year, against much better, that would be enough to win today. The question is can he remember those races. The way Kimmel is going, my guess is he’ll have him ready. The likely favorite, (3) RINGGOOD will likely be the speed and that’s always dangerous at this level. (2) TRUE PALACE moves back in against fellow NY Breds. Both December races would make him a contender today. Similar can be said about (9) Z’FINALE as he too has two strong efforts on this oval that puts him in the conversation.
