We have NY racing on a Monday and we are going to remain consistent with our plays. We will be attacking a pair of pick 3 plays. I will be focusing in on races 3-5 and Big Pete will be keying in on races 6-8. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we would like to try and improve the bankroll on. Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 2:

I will take Kendrick aboard a late closer on the rail in here with (1) Dust Devil. I think there is enough speed to run into inthis one and Kendrick will be able to save ground throughout. Come stretch drive I think this horse will be fanned out wide and have a convincing stretch drive.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 1:

Small field in the opener and I don’t see a lot of speed. I’m guessing (4) BOOMBOOM GIRL will be sent with Carmouche signed on. If Kendrick gets an easy lead heading into the turn, they will find Boom difficult to reel in.

We’ll use her with the two others for our exacta.

(2) Icanceeclearlynow and (5) Malibu Anthem

We’ll also use Boom Boom Girl in R1 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 3:

I am going to start the ticket off by going 4 deep in here. My top pick is going to be a firster in (3) Dr. Grunseich who I think will be able to sit behind the early pace in a nice stalking position and no one in this field with experience intimidates me to be doing their best running late. I think Lezcano has a live horse underneath him and we knows how to handle that. (6) Doctor K is the other PH D in this group and will be the heavy favorite with the Franco/Rodriguez combo. This horse should find the early lead and could have run into a field that just can't catch him late. (8) Tapit Flashback is another firster I want to give a try from David Donk's barn. This horse has been training consistently well and coming in here looking strong. (9) Awesome Yet Again is my last play with the move to Dylan Davis and also has shown the ability to find the early lead. This horse should be improving and this could be the field this horse needs to graduate.

Race 4:

Small field in this one with the stratches and I think the favorites will be the ones to get it done. I will be playing (7) Timely Tradition as my top pick in here and I think will be the favorite come post time. I think the outside post is a good spot for this horse to break strongly without crowding and be able to find the stalking position this horse will need to run down this field come stretch drive. (6) LetmeTakeThisCall will have a similar running tactic and could be the strongest horse late. (1) Madam Meena will be the pace in here and I think if they allow her to dictate the fractions then this horse could wire the field.

Race 5:

This race I landed on four horses with (9) Autostrade being my top pick. I think this horse will show much more run in here and if he can get back to his race two back then I think that can get it done against this bunch. I will take the experienced (1) Playwright in here who ran a good enough race last time out to compete in this race. (3) Scarf it Down is an interesting horse who I think will enjoy this crowd and run a much better effort than last time out. Last play will be (8) Mills who also is experienced and still showing some good efforts out on the course.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 6:

(6) MI TRES POR CIENTO has quickly turned it around for Kantarmaci fresh off the claim. The cut back is just what this gelding needed as he came with a nice closing kick. We’re looking for the same today. (9) SECRET RULES will prove a tough foe if he can fight through the slump his trainer is going through. Managed 2nd vs two good ones in his last two and has been training fast. (7) T LOVES A FIGHT hasn’t won in a while but usually comes late to the scene. We’ll include with Davis up. Brown sends out (1) COST BASIS who finished behind a couple of runners in here. It was his first attempt at this level and should be more competitive this time around.

Race 7:

I’m only interested in two here but if your looking to use less bankroll (6) PORTAL CREEK has the look of a single. She gave Sharp Starr all she could handle in the Go For Wand. A similar effort today puts her in the winner circle. I’ll include (5) CALL ON MISCHIEF incase the favorite forgets to run today. Breen claims him and confidently jumps him up and will get the set-up she needs. Needs the fav to have a bad day but is more than capable of getting 2nd.

Race 8:

We’ll spread out here as this group is very unpredictable. (8) HEY IT’S TATI will get a lot of support but most of her best races have come on grass. I’ll include but drops yet again. We’ll look elsewhere. (4) MENZAMENZ is who I’ll take a shot with. Has shown speed in prior races and now cuts back to sprinting. Carmouche can get aggressive with this filly and try to go as long as she can. (6) JUDICIARY and (1) REMOANE have both made late runs in a race or two. Maybe one of them can work out a trip and make it interesting through the stretch.
