We are going to get back to a regular plays at Aqueduct by looking to take down a pair of pick 3 plays. I will be locked in on races 4-6 and Big Pete will be locked in on races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race that we would like to try and improve the bankroll on. Little Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 1:
I like the Pletcher favorite in here with (4) Too Boss and think we can play off of this horse to hit the board for 1st or 2nd. I think there will be an early pace battle with this horse and (2) Khafre who I also think is a good horse in here, but could be vulnerable for a closing horse late. I like (5) Highland Beach and (6) We Ready to be pretty good prices on the board and have a chance to steal this one with a late run down the stretch. I will play with an exacta and see if we can catch something good to start the card off.
$3.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 2,4,5,6 Cost: $18.00
$2.00 Ex 2,6 w/ 2,4,5,6 Cost: $12.00

Race 3:
Rudy was a little ambitious with (3) SHE SO NAUGHTY last time and now puts her where she belongs. Franco returns and if there is any left over moisture around, she won’t mind. Manny will let the two favorites go at it early and make a run coming into the stretch.
$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00
We’ll use her with the two speeds/favorites for our exacta.
(2) Mia Bea Star and (4) Behind The Couch
$ 7.00 Exacta 3 w/ 2, 4 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use She’s So Naughty R2 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.
(1) ProspectMountain and (5) Bourbonic look solid in the 3rd
$ 7.00 Double 3 w/ 1, 5 Cost $ 14.00

Race 4:
I really like the inside horse here with (1) Choose Hapiness. I think that this horse will carryover a similar performance like last time out and be a strong horse late to run down the field at this mile distance. I really want to beat the morning line favorite, but I think is necessary to include (4) Nicky Scissors. This horse should be forwardly placed by Manny and just could be too good for this lower level field. (5) Not a Problem is a horse in here that I think will outrun their odds. This horse seems to run her best races on dirt and has a win at this distance. I think that Cancel will be able to stalk the lead and allow this horse to do her running late to try and catch the front runners. (6) Lottie's Mizzion looks dangerous with the class drop and I think is another horse that may just be better than the rest of the field so will be forced to include.
$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 1,6 w/ 1,4,5,6 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 1,4,5,6 Cost: $6.00
Race 5:
I will be including the morning line favorite in here with (2) Bankers Daughter, but I really want to beat this horse with some others. My top play will be (4) Courageous Girl who I think is running in good form coming into this race and should be able to stalk the lead and run on strongly late. I also like (3) IfIHadAChance to run a similar race under Manny Franco and have a convincing stretch drive against the early speed. (1A) Cheatham Hill is an interesting horse for me in here to give Katie Davis a first W. I think that an aggressive ride aboard this horse would make this one a tough horse to pass late, especially if they allow this horse to dictate the fractions. Plus, we get a bonus horse in (1) Amos who could close strongly depending on how the race plays out.
$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 3,4 w/ 1,2,3,4 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 1,2 w/ 1,2,3,4 Cost: $6.00
Race 6:
(1) Chambo looks to be a firster that could be too good for this field and we get (1A) American Gentleman who is going to be forwardly placed in here, which I always like. Then I am going to rely on two other firsters in here to close out our ticket in (2) Up SeventyFour and (3) YeroSilverBiz. These horses have been training well and I trust Rob Atras with firsters to get the job done. I feel comfortable leaving our trust in these horses to close the ticket.
$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 1,2,3 Cost: $12.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
It appears (4) MOONACHE has fought his way back from a disappointing summer and posted two solid runs out of town. Returns to face fellow NY Breds and found he right field. If he can duplicate his last two runs, he should handle these. (5) LEAP TO GLORY also will benefit as there is no Jemography in here. I can’t fully pull the trigger though on this guy as he rarely wins but hits the board. With a lot of speed signed on, I’ll try to pass them all late with (3) DOUBLE SHOT. He’s yet to be off the board in five Aqueduct attempts and sprinting his more of what he wants. Closed a ton last time and figures to get a similar set up. (7) BUSTIN TIMBERLAKE may be a little cheaper than these, but this guy always shows up. He’s two for two on a wet surface.
$7.00 WPS 3 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 3,4 w/ 3,4,5,7 Cost: $18.00
Race 8:
(6) UJJAYI is very sharp right now. She seems to like Aqueduct as both races this winter were career best. She remains on her toes with a bullet work last week for this. (7) THANKFUL didn’t handle the class or the moisture last time. No relief today but it’s Pletcher so we’ll use defensively. Brown also makes an appearance with likely favorite (2) SMOOTH WITH A KICK. She looks to be competitive but is no stand out in here. She’ll need to bring her A game to tackle these. (5) AM IMPAZIBLE is in a zone right now. It’s four in a row and showing no signs of letting up. She gets the acid test today but there are no monsters in here.
$7.00 WPS 5 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 5,6 w/ 2,5,6,7 Cost: $18.00
Race 9:
(5) HAYEZHEE will attract a lot of attention as Asmussen and Franco team up. Jackie Milton returned this week to win again and she wasn’t far from her last time. Manny may just gun this filly to the lead and dare any one to come and get her. (7) TRAPPED N MY MINDwas left with too much to do in her last. Expect her to show a little more speed and keep closer down the back stretch. A similar stretch run would do it against these. (6) HOLMDEL PARK woke up last time and now drops a level. A Re-Pete of that will put her in the winner circle. My wise guy/gal pick in here is (3) SHANNON’S GIRL. Every so often she seems to come with a decent run. Her cycle for that run looks like it could be today. She’ll need the others to back up but it’s that kind of race.
