Aqueduct 1/16 Early Pick 5 & Late Pick 3

I just couldn't resist taking a stab at the early pick 5 today at Aqueduct with that $265K carryover. I will mostly be focusing on the sequences with Big Pete interjecting with some races as he is locked in to the late pick 3 today. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race that we believe we can improve our bankroll on. R2: 3, 4, 5, 7

R3: 6, 7

R5: 1, 4, 6, 7, 8

R7: 1, 3, 5, 8 R8: 1, 2, 4

R9: 3, 4, 7, 10

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 6:

(8) MRS.S has been keeping good company since her maiden win going long. Then she cut back to 6F last time and just missed. I always like the Creative Cause’s when they shorten up and she stays at this distance again. The moisture is a plus and I’m expecting Franco to time it right this time.

We’ll use her on top with the two favorites for our exacta.

(2) Forever Changed and (3) Jump for Joy

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(5) IT’S GRAVY just missed against Hold The Salsa last time when facing winners. He figures to be short odds but, his resume looks better than these. He just keeps improving and the stretch out will only help. The main danger that I see is (3) DOUBLEPOUR. He woke up last time against MCL and now moves to MSW. Hennig must be confident this guy has turned it around. The lone speed is what makes him a player here. Davis gets off likely 2nd choice to ride him. (8) BREW PUB should have everything in his favor today. A target up front, the 1M distances and the wet track should be just what this Street Sense colt will like. Firster (1) B C GLORY DAYS is where Lezcano lands and has a bullet that makes him seem ready to go. Moisture will help.

Race 8:

Nothing clever here as the two favorites jump off the page. The 6.5F seems better suited for (1) VACAY. Lezcano will likely go from the rail and try to wire or sit right behind this bunch. A big bullet last week should have this filly on her toes. The other is (4) LAOBANONAPRAYER. She has back to back blowout wins with Carmouche up and he returns. She may want more ground but she is very good right now and is a major player. If one of the favs forget to show up today, that’ll open things up for (2) SECRET LOVE to slip into the exacta. She let Rossa Veloce get away with easy fractions last time but that shouldn’t happen today.

Race 9:

(10) MAIDEN BEAUTY may have needed her last. Was claimed in October and returned mid December for Dutrow. She sports a fast breeze last week for this. I am leaning towards (7) I DARE U who finished right behind Beauty. Something went wrong last March after two strong races last winter. After some dull efforts this year, Weaver may have her back. She probably needed her last and Franco returns to ride her again. I’m guessing she’ll show more speed today based on her morning works. I dare u to keep her off your tickets. (4) SOUTH OF THE SHORE finished in front of the above two last time and has maintained her form from over a year off. That’s impressive and should be a threat again today. (3) TONED UP has decent wet track appearances and won’t mind the 1M.
